A couple of great saves from Esson. Barrowman on for Wood

Contracts (Merged)
Only Munro signed didn't he? So that leaves Black, Fraser, and Cowie still to sign. This looks worringly like the Dargo situation, week after week there was no news, then he signed elsewhere. I've no idea what process contract talks go through, but find it worrying when there's no news about contracts that were offered a while ago now. With all the rumours about Cowie I think it's almost certain we're going to lose him very soon, but it's Blackie I'm more concerned about. If we were to lose him as well....

ICT -V- Hearts : matchday thread
Lots of huff and puff but no end product again. Much better than Wednesday, but we didn't really create anything, other than one almighty goalmouth scramble just before half time.....not sure what happened as it was at the away end, but both Barrowman and Rooney looked had the chance to tuck it away and I'm not sure how either of them didn't. Not sure how Blackie picked up his injury, but we really missed him in the middle. Can't say I agree with the marks above as I thought McBain had a decent game in the middle, at least he can pass to a player in the same colour shirt, unlike Duncan, whos passing is simply woeful. Barrowman.....it's hard to balieve we wasted the whole summer chasing this lazy *****. Rooney put himself about all day, and had a really good game, wheras Barrowman found it too much of an effort to jump for, or even move for, the ball. I don't mind losing if we at least put the effort in, and we certainly did that today.

ICT -V- Falkirk : Matchnight Thread
My point was.....Brewsters tactics could've (should've) seen us going in at HT 2 down, which we'd have found it very hard to have come back from. Yes, we managed to salvage a point, and maybe should've got all 3, but the point is, against a better team than Falkirk, we'd have been dead and buried by HT due to our managements tactics.

In the same way, if Higdon had put away that easy chance he had after he'd scored we'd have gone in 2 down at half time, and that'd been game over.

ICT -V- Falkirk : Matchnight Thread
Our set pieces were a joke until Barry started taking them. Imrie was hitting them so high and deep the Falkirk defence must've thought he was taking the ****. And then he looked really fecked off when Brewster shouted to Barry to start taking them!

ICT -V- Falkirk : Matchnight Thread
We were shocking in the first half, and lucky to go in just the one down. Hastings had a mare, so did Proctor. So did the rest, but those two stood out for their truly woeful performances. At least he changed it in the second half, and we were much better....I'd have left if we hadn't been mind!! Rooney is by far our best striker, so why Brew is keeping him on the bench is baffling. As for Barrowman.... That was a game I really thought we'd get the three points from, but as so often happens this season, we're incapable of putting two decent performances (let alone results) together. The only stand outs for me were Rooney and Tokely. The rest were poor. A totally forgettable game I'm afraid.

Ritchie Bryne
I think it'd tale a miracle to turn Bryne into a half decent player. He was shocking EVERYTIME he played against us for Aberdeen. Seeing his name on their teamsheet always made me think we had a chance!!

Just seen it and it looks like Nish fell over and pulled Hastings down with him...no way a penalty. Great save though. Blackies goal was class.

Team for Falkirk
Agreed. Normally I'd argue we should be playing two up front at home, but after such a good performance yesterday it's hard to see Brew changing a winning system.

Team for Falkirk
A great chance for us to climb the table on Weds, so will it be the same again, or will we see any changes? I'd stick pretty much to Saturdays team (with a couple of changes), and deny Falkirk any room in midfield. Stop them doing all that tippy tappy ***** and give them no time on the ball. And the fact we've been mince just lately. That was the first game I've missed at ER since we came up (feckin typical eh!!), and only the 3rd game I've missed this season. I really couldn't muster up too much enthusiasm to go.....obviously I wish I had now.

Sounded like a brilliant performance, in complete contrast to last week. To very winnable home games now (two we could lose too!), we could be top 6 this time next week

Sounds like Esson's played very well. Michael might well be getting used to sitting on the bench for a while again.

Esson saves a pen!! When was the last time one of our keepers saved a pen??

Team fer Easter Road ?
I'd go with that exact line up! So when's he coming then???

What is wrong?
For me there are too many players living on past reputation.....the likes of Tokely, Hastings, and even McBain have been utter garbage this season, and most of last too. Any footballer playing at this level who can't even master the most basic part of football......passing, shouldn't be playing. That'll be Russell Duncan then. Imrie, and Barrowman are simply not good enough for the SPL. Fraser is being played over a keeper who's better than him. Munro is no captain, and his form has been rubbish since he took on that role. On current form, only Blackie, Duff, Rooney, and Cowie (I know he's not been at the level he was last year, but to be fair, the last few games I've seen him he's one of the few to get passmarks) look the part. Vigurs looks an exceptional talent yet now finds himself warming the bench week after week again. There's too many negatives. Personally I think we've relied too much on this continuity thing we've had over the years, and when we have brought in new players, they've often been at a standard which isn't good enough.

Sorry Alex, but Michael was clearly at fault for their first two goals.

RANGERS -V- ICT : matchday thread
The worst thing about this is that we sound as though we're doing ok in the second half. That gives Brewster the chance to come out with the 'we showed in the second half that we're a good team, and we'll take that performance into next Saturdays game' line. In reality though, we're playing a team who totally embarrassed us in the first half, who totally exposed Brewsters tactical naivity, and quite honestly sound as though they're just going through the motions in this second half.

Fantastic subs. Wood for Barrowman.....and Duff for McBain Rooney must be getting really fecked off. He's been our most dangerous looking striker everytime he's played, yet Barrowman, who's been mince since he arrived, and Wood get the nod before him.

5-0. What's our record defeat??

RANGERS -V- ICT : matchday thread
I've not joined in any of sack him/keep him debates up til now, but I fear if there aren't some drastic changes after this then we could be in real trouble this season. We just don't seem to have the spirit anymore, and there's too many players who are living on reputation alone.
