  1. I went to see them and thought they were fecking dross!! In fairness, I never really liked them anyway and only went because a mate dragged me along. Glad you had a good night though
  2. Esson Proctor Munro McGuire Hastings Cowie Black Duncan McBain Rooney Wood
  3. We didn't actually play that bad, but lacked any cutting edge whatsoever. The goal came from ANOTHER defensive **** up, this time by Munro. In saying that, Fraser got his angles all wrong, and he couldn't have made the finish for their player any easier if he'd tried. Other than that we weren't really troubled all game, but as I said, we never really troubled them either. Blackie was even better than any other game he's been MOTM in this season. May as well give him the award now. He was everywhere, sprayed passes all over the field, and looked as pissed off as everyone in the stand when he was hooked. Shocking substitution, and the inevitable long ball crap then followed. Right, now...Tokely. He was garbage, has been all season, and needs dropping. His reputation is all that's keeping him in at the moment. As soon as Proctor is fit, get him in. Barrowman, and Imrie are first division players at most, and until both show a rapid improvement then they shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. Disappointed we didn't at least get a point today, Hearts weren't anything special at all. As long as we keep gifting teams goals though we're going to struggle.
  4. Blackie was immense again today, and why the **** he got hooked is still baffling. We lost any bite in midfield after he went. McBain....give me him anyday over Imrie. Why people rate Imrie so highly is beyond me. He's no better than an average 1st division player, and is simply not good enough at this level. And as for Barrowman... At least Rooney puts himself about and looks like he might have something. Barrowman just looks *****!! Yep, he's making substitutions at the right times to be fair.....but it's the wrong players he's hooking all the time.
  5. Season ticket prices went up this year did they not? Mine certainly did!

    BBC Alba

I was under the impression the games would be shown on a Saturday night. Just checked the Sky guide on the TV and there's sport on from 19.30-21-30 on Saturday night......described as SPL 90.
  8. Struan stays just up the road from me. Good to see him progressing well. Who's the lad Park up front?
  9. Right, found this... Co-operative Insurance Cup [return] Morton welcome Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Cappielow for the 3rd round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup. The match is scheduled for Tuesday 23rd September, with a 7.45pm kick off. Admission prices for this match will be: Adults: ?14.00 Concessions: ?7.00
  10. Anyone know the prices for this one? Almost certainly going to head down
  11. Don't agree at all sorry. Duff has been excellent since coming into the first team. I'd far rather a partnership of Munro/Duff at the back than any other. Vigurs was no worse than anyone else today. Infact, I thought he was one of the few to get passmarks in my opinion. And Wood was ok too, nothing great, but certainly not that bad. What's the alternatives? Other than the Aberdeen game, both Barrowman and Imrie have been mince. McGuire is simply too error prone, and the amount of stupid, needless free kicks he gives away is infuriating. If these 'experienced' players aren't cutting it, then good on Brew for giving others a chance. If he could just sort out the home tactics now........
  12. Yep, another pish home performance. To be honest we were well on top in the first half, without ever really creating any clear cut chances. Then we got the penalty and I thought we'd go on and win it from there. If Rooneys shot had gone in rather than hit the bar I think we'd have coasted home, but...... ANOTHER defensive **** up let them back in, and from then, we just seemed to crumble. I couldn't understand why Rooney was replaced, and not Wood. Rooney looked far the more likely to get another goal. Blackie was again immense in midfield, but the rest of them just weren't at the races. What's happened to Cowie this season? I thought he was mince today, and that's not the first time he's been like that this season. Other than Black, and Rooney, nobody merited a MOTM nomination (how Wood got it I've no idea!) About time we shook up the defence too. Get Tokely and McGuire out, and get Munro and Proctor (when fit) in as soon as possible.

    BBC Alba

Found this... 'BBC ALBA will broadcast one full SPL game every Saturday for two seasons.[5] The games will be broadcast three hours after the game has ended. The game shown will be a selected one not covered by either live Setanta Sports or on an on-demand basis by BT Vision[6]. The match will only have Gaelic commentary along with English subtitles.' Alba launches on Sept 19, and I read on another forum that the first game being shown is our visit to Hearts (not sure how that person knows this, I cant find anything else about schedules). I'd guess we might feature quite often though given that it's a Gaelic channel! Should be good though, and give us far more coverage than our weekly 2 minute slot on Sportscene. Oh, and it's on Sky 168 for those who didn't know.

  16. Good. Everytime I've seen Bamba against us he's been mince.
  17. Woohoo :018: :thumb04: ;) ......2 out of 2 on the road so far
  18. He's been mince the last few games, so fair play to Brew for dropping him. Hopefully this'll be the kick up the arse he needs. Sounds like dropping Barrowman is also having a similar effect.
  19. Imrie gets the second.....fantastic stuff. Sounds like we've totally outplayed them today, well done to Brew for getting the tactics spot on, and making the subs at the right time.
  20. Cowie!!!!!!!!! About bloody time.
  21. We've had 3 great chances by the sound of it....good start.
  22. I'd go with that too. If Proctor and Munro don't make it, then Tokely and McGuire instead.

Not much to add to what's already been said really. We were poor, they were up for it. We certainly never looked in danger of losing though. Blackie was once again the star man for me. He looked really composed throughout, and finally seems to be really maturing. Esson made one fantastic save in the first half, but couldn't do anything about the goals. It would be very harsh to drop Michael, because he's done nothing wrong, but Essons distribution is so much better, and he actually saved a penalty!! (In fact, I think he guessed the right way for all of them). The defence just doesn't look confident to me. They were doing us for pace all the time towards the end, and we seem to panic too easily. Lionel was lucky not to get sent off in normal time, and as entertaining as he can be, I think he's too much of a liabilty. Vigurs was excellent, and took his goal brilliantly. Bazza had a good game too, and nearly scored a superb individual effort. Cowie.....hmmmm, he seems really out of sorts at the moment. Certainly not at the standard he set last season. Up front....Wood was ok I thought, but Rory....well, just how many chances does he get?? The less said about Barrowman, the better Cracking night, a really good game for the neutral.....cracking fight too! Oh, and a special mention for their keeper. He was excellent all night, and had a real good craic with the ICT fans behind the goals. Top bloke :thumb04:
  24. Backward step in my opinion. Don't want him back
  25. Can't see anything on prices anywhere....any idea how much it is in? Who's all going?
