  1. Anier doesn't appear to have been awarded 3 years......? So...?
  2. Could have been worse--a home tie with equal prospects of doom without the money. Let's face it, one way or the other the winning team would have to face Celtic at some time in the tournament so the prospects of the money + another game at Tulloch is quite a prize.
  3. Elgin Loon, delighted you are doing so well on here. What is it now--5 stars already...? Goodness I'll have to come to Elgin when I arrive on me holidays from the Wild West here in B.C. Canada. Yes! ICT has fans from all over the world, even from Washington State et al in the USA. We have arrived and we hope your wee-er team will continue to progress and one day meet up with us for status and all. "We liked yer rambling, guid-natured banter Maybe ye are really, in disguise, the one and only Tam O' Shanter. So, up and at em, give us a blaw, and show us yer Northern Chanter. Then saddle up yer wee hoss and off yese gae riding back tae Elgin at a canter."
  4. Depressing news. If you are right this is not.. boden.. well for the future of ICT, never mind the player.
  5. Just what we needed! A handsome pay day --about the only chance from now on for us to get some money in the bank and allow the manager some breathing space. I don't want to tempt fate but a draw would be fantastic, The fans deserve this and a fast and furious game at Tulloch --just the ticket in a packed house. Yippee!
  6. Noted with a smile. And it wisnae me who gave you a red dot, Charlie. Nothing offensive about your post which tried to be helpful but maybe was a wee bit misconstrued. Things happen. So, off you go to bed and I'll be up with a wee Toddie for you in a minute.
  7. Nope! I went back to check and couldn't find the number on that BBC report anywhere. Just a wild guess from me.
  8. There appears to have been a lethargic response from the players in the past relating to his performance and drive requirements and in their own output of aggressive and determined energy. Really, it can hardly be described as a "never say die" attitude or sense of commitment to the team, the club and to Richie himself at a point in his career where he needs such a response from his players than at any other time. So my post above was directed at the players not him. What I was saying , which I thought was fairly obvious, was that the players also have to take responsibility for their own performances but, if they don't "get it", then what? And, therefore, if it really ISN'T all his fault, then he must try to bring in players whose attitude is matched only by his own aggressive spirit and ethic of hard work ---which is evident in all these videos that I have seen. He is a man, not a mouse. I am left wondering if some players are taking advantage of the fact that he is a new manager who is, apparently, all too willing to take all the blame all the time for all the mistakes or failures on the park?
  9. Same thought I had , Caley canary? Say about 3200 maybe?
  10. Elgin Loon--the Donald T. of the North of Scotland.

  12. Maybe someone should play a few of past videos to the fans showing Richie in action. That might convince them of the heart in this man, his will to win for the team, his skill and dedication and his passion to drive forward with great determination and intent. These past videos are dynamic in their demonstration of fantastic skill and what can be achieved from playing with thrust and commitment. AND....a lesson in attitude to the young up and coming players that can't be beaten. I am a big fan of Richie. Heh! I mean will IHE be expecting delivery of a 1400 lb Moose on his doorstep at Xmas. Watch this space.
  13. We are going to steal the game not the Elgin Marbles, Elginloon. Enter Charlie Bannerman for explanation......?

  15. Would be nice to get speedy Miles Storey back in, flashing balls over into the box for Anier to latch onto. In the video the latter player was composed and cool and his goal was a well controlled and precisely directed beauty . Let's give him a real chance and feed him the ball to see what he can achieve. On a lighter note I thought that a beard didn't really suit Richie--maybe if it had been trimmed instead of being wild and woolly he would have looked better but, anyway, his face is so fit, youthful and fresh looking that no beard is going to make him look more mature and/or dominating. The board supports him both now and for the future and so should we.
  16. Yep! That's a photo of the Ebbe and flow of Anier's Estonia ice, Yngwie. At least Richie is trying... it's a new day and a well-worked win at Elgin will work wonders at Inverness.
  17. Try -11 degrees C. below freezing which is forecast for Thursday night for us here in the West Coast of Canada. I saw one small bird and a crow outside since the deep freeze started 30 days ago. The rest of them must all have beetled off to South America or something. And yes, I did put out some seeds after all for the wee one, but I think the crows will be O.K. since they all go to MacDonalds for their evening meal about 4p.m. The United States, all of them including California who are cheering because they have hardly had a drop of rain for 3 years, have been submerged by blizzards of snow and cold even worse than us. Oops! there goes a triumvirate of brass monkeys going like the clappers to get home before the freezing catches up with them. Gotta go.
  18. Agreed. It's the injuries that unbalanced the team ....?
  19. Put-down comments are not boden well for his future. So maybe he just needs ....a GAME?
  20. As for the critics it must be remembered that all this information and disinformation does tend to ebbe and floe.
  21. Correct me if I am wrong but did I see a report that Mulraney did not shine in Dingwall a couple of days ago?
  22. Away in a manager.
  23. Doofer's Dad's thoughtful summing up says it all. That's a great post. The Board will not sack Richie for a variety of reasons. e.g. promises, pride, low Bank account, high-priced but unpredictable other Managers who could in any event just turn out to be a real liability anyway.. But I would not be surprised if he resigns at a future date just to allow everyone else to save face if things get worse and worse. If the team is relegated the crowds will surely still come if they continue to get better and keep on working hard? He's a decent lad is Richie and he's had very bad luck as well including character-less referees who don't feel the necessity to award penalties to ICT when blatant hand balls in the box occur with some regularity. If these penalties (as per the rules) had been given with alacrity where would we be now? That tells me that the High Head Yins don't particularly care for the unpredictable and sometimes very hard working and brilliant ICT taking trophies and high league positions away from the Terrible Twins and other teams. Sorry, but the deck does appear to be stacked against the very dangerous and exciting ICT. Particularly after the Scottish Cup win so that now people are always looking over their shoulder wondering what the fabled ICT will do next? The wee team frae the Hielans are now so unpredictable with their dogged persistence and often great football that the pundits don't know what to expect and keep looking over their shoulder expecting anything to happen these days. I have accessed the SPL site daily for years and I sense this strongly. We have earned their respect AND a degree of surprised affection that we should capitalise on too. We now have to explode out of the rut of near despair and get on with it and fight for redemption without a backward glance. But, if the underdog falters and falls down at any point then he will also be kicked! Time for Richie to harangue the troops, excite them and inspire them. The team has to grit their teeth and work harder. The Manager must forget relegation and work harder in the face of adversity. The Board must show faith in them and remind them of it repeatedly. And, last but by no means least, the fans musty continue to show faith in them and show up as well to put their money in the till.
