No. What I am saying is that if a player moves from us to a team like say St. Mirren or Falkirk they might not be getting that much more in terms of wages but will get first team football just like they do here. Perhaps not a great move. If a player moves to Celtic, see Mark Brown, they stand little chance of getting first team football but have a nice fat wage packet. A good move depending how you want to look at it. If a player went to Dundee United (in this case) they will get first team football, just like they do here, and will get a much better contract to go with it. It's basically a win win situation. Do you believe that?

It's a brilliant move for Craig if it were true. He would strike the right balance between more money and regular first team football. He'd be a first teamer there no doubt, unlike Brown at Celtic. That would be offset by the difference in their wages (Brown v Dargo) although I'd imagine that he would be on more at United than he could ever get here sadly. Therefore, more money than at ICt plus the chance to play regular first team football - looks like a good move. Lets hope he doesn't go for it though!

Well done! Grasping at straws here somewhat methinks. You do appear to have a very big chip on your shoulder. Almost all of your posts have been concerning comments I made about Rankin. You seem unable to let some of my points go despite being given perfectly good explanations for them. Indeed I have praised the player on several occasions yet this doesn't appear to be enough for you and you persist in bringing the same issues up time and time again. If what I have posted doesn't meet your approval then that really isn't my problem. I don't see what was controversial about it or are you talking in general? You seem to have figured out why I posted that with the very first part of your post here. Of course it would be. But you aren't going to convince everyone to come round to the same opinion as yourself no matter how hard you try. Differences of opinions are going to be rife on message boards yet you seem very keen on picking up on some opinions people have when they don't match your own and have difficulty accepting that people don't see things the way you do. As with other parts of your post this first sentence here is quite ironic. Somewhat ironic this part. Given that you go on about personal abuse, allegedly, coming your way yet you seem happy to slate other posters for their contributions? A tad hypocritical. For what it's worth I think Rankins goals have gone some way to paying off his hefty transfer fee. Not all of the way. But certainly some of the way. And he could easily have his own Goal of the Season competition with some of his offerings. I look forward to more of the same next season. As you even admit yourself, this site isn't going to be some kind of huge love in. Not everyone will agree with each other. Shame that you can't accept this when it comes to opinions on John Rankin.

What an odd bumping of a thread. I feel 40k would have been more reasonable. And it's rumoured to be between 65k - 80k per SPL place.

I don't think they let him go though. There was some behind the scenes stuff going on and he didn't want talks over a new deal. Indeed in his last game at QotS he played the most random selection of players in a formation he had never used before and Airdrie proceeded to hump QotS 3 - 0. McCall might even have a made a friendly farewell gesture to the crowd as he left.

I like to see Milan win but I couldn't care less if they did or not so that's as close to a passing interest in another team as I would get. I might support Cove or Inverurie next season as well.
