  1. Dream on! :015: :002: I am trying to mind what happened with this throw in for the first goal. From what I remember Rankin was going down the right and just carried the ball out of play. Falkirk took the throw in and a couple of passes later they had scored. I don't quite understand why you say it wasn't a throw in? Did something happen before or after the incident I described there with Rankin taking the ball out that I missed? :confused02:
  2. I'm sure Scotsport will clear it all up! :015:

What a load of utter pish!
  4. Oh dear oh dear. What a come down from Wednesday. Was that really the same team that was hammering Rangers the other night? Too many players had off days but lets not take anything away from Falkirk as they played a decent enough game to destroy us in the first half and then take their foot off the pedal in the 2nd half. We had something like 3 shots in the entire game. Two free kicks and Rankins goal which was possibly better than the winner against Rangers. Falkirk fully deserved their win and in truth they should have won about 7 - 1 as they missed some excellent chances after the break. Our defence was posted missing for the first goal. I take HCs point about Rankin and his odd positioning for the throw in but lets look at it this way. This was a throw in deep in the Falkirk half - well over halfway towards their goal and they scored from it! Two or three passes and our defence was split wide open and Stokes easily beat Brown. The second was a smart finish from a tight angle. It didn't look like Brown covered himself in glory as Stokes appeared to be running along the byeline before he shot and no keeper should be getting beaten at his near post from such a tight angle though Scotsport might offer a fairer picture of the goal. Not sure why you think the third was offside Gaz. Tokely got turned on the right IIRC and a ball was fired across the penalty area. Stokes at the back sneaked in to complete his hat trick. I have no idea what happened with Blackie to be honest. I initially thought Tokely was off myself until I was told it was Black. Someone thought it was for two yellows. The first for kicking the ball away and then another for arguing with the Ref. That said the BBC site says he was booked in the 17th minute so maybe the booking for kicking the ball away was his second after all. The 2nd half was a cake walk for Falkirk and they barely broke sweat. Barr had a wonderful shot crash off the bar, Stokes missed two easy chances and Brown had to look smart to beat away a Lima drive. It is no understatement to say that the Barins could and probably should have been 7 - 0 up before Rankins great effort at the end. Well done to him for at least appearing to keep trying as the rest of the team began to falter badly. I know said person and he received a fair bit of lip from someone a bit further down from him who told him to support the team. What was somewhat ironic though is the person who told him to support the team left about 15 minutes early and missed Rankins stunner to GIRUY to him! :015: True. There have been a number of people who haven't been to games recently who have told people that performances which have been dire that they are talking rubbish. I doubt then they made it to the last few away games which have been dreadful.

Nah Jeroen Lambers will be back in I don't think it would have mattered what keeper you had in today.
  6. After certain posters got a slagging after the fantastic Rangers result should those who slated the 'negative posters' now be themselves forced to eat humble pie after another abject performance by ICT?

I don't know how to feel about the game. On one hand we have been very inconsistent this season so we could lose despite beating Rangers the other night. On the other hand Scott Higgins is playing :015:

Aye Keith just got in touch with me on P & B Ceske - I'm still delirious from Wednesday! :004: I don't think people will have bought any because of lack of time I guess for one. Hopefully there will be enough on the go on Saturday. Only 30 odd went down on the SC bus to Dunfermline but there were a lot more who arrived by other means to boost the travelling support that day to 250 - 300 which is good for us.

*Click* Are we being charged more for sitting in the same stand as them? We certainly don't get the Main Stand which you see in the left of the picture on the Falkirk site so it looks like we are getting charged £19 for sitting in a stand that the Home fans are getting into for £13. EDIT: The particular page on the Falkirk site is regarding Home admission only so the prices on the ICT site are correct :003:

  12. I just think the players they have bought are utter toss and many of their Scots lads are rubbish as well - e.g. Hutton.

Aside from a block from Novo (IIRC) what saves did Brown really have to make? That says a lot about the game.

I bet Sebo got a higher rating than him! :015: EDIT: He didn't but here are the ratings. Have to laugh at Svennsons rating myself... INVERNESS CT - Brown 7, Tokely 5, Dods 6, McBain 5, Wilson 5 (Morgan 80, 5), Black 6, Munro 6, Hastings 6, Wyness 5, Rankin 7. Subs not used: Fraser, McCaffrey, Duncan, McSwegan, Sutherland, McAllister. RANGERS -McGregor 8, Hutton 6, Svensson 6, Hemdani 6, Papac 5, Sionko 5 (Burke 78, 5), Ferguson 6, Clement 6, Adam 5, Sebo 5, Novo 5 (Lennon 83, 4).
  15. Of course :003:

Yes I stand by it and no JR was not the only one responsible but I don't believe I ever claimed he was. If I mind right the quote was taken from a thread about John Rankin no? I'm glad that Rankin vastly improved his performance from Saturday to score a wonderful winner but he needs to play like that more often IMO.
  17. ****! I hoped the highlights at 12pm were free but sadly they weren't. Might mean actually having to watch Scotsport.
  18. Is it free or do you have to subscribe?

They don't care because they are scared. Stewards and Police have been briefed about Away fans in the Home ends of the ground - they know the score. They are committing an offence by sitting in the wrong section of the ground. I believe it says this on the back of tickets and the club also put up signs around the ground to stop fans going in the wrong sections. The police and stewards would rather pick on the Home fans than do anything about the knuckle draggers who are actually committing an offence.

I stand by my comments about John Rankin as I have said to you before so I am not going over that ground again. As I have also said previously if the players (or team) plays well then I am happy to dish out praise and for last night the team deserve all the praise in the world. However if a player, in my opinion (and it may only be my opinion) hasn't played well then I will post that. Rankin was annonymous in the games versus United and Dunfermline- surely you cannot dispute that? He was awfully ineffective particularly against the Pars. He has not justified the 65k we paid for him but if he can become more consistent and add some more goals to his game then he will be doing just grand.
  21. How on earth can you have a 12 year old Rangers diehard? :015:
  22. RiG replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
ICT fans complained about one or two Rangers fans in the home stands and nothing was done by the jobsworth stewards. The entire section B of the Away stand was standing throughout the game and nothing was done.
  23. RiG replied to davieB's topic in Caley Thistle
Yes I did describe them as utterly useless in an earlier game this season as their performance was awful and as others have noted in the last couple of Away games this description would have been perfectly applicable for some recent games as well. Not last night though as I have already stated in plenty of threads based on last nights game.

You expected the Daily Ranger to write a balanced report? :015: :015: :015: After Falkirk beat Rangers the DR claimed the game should never have gone ahead as the bad weather stopped Rangers playing their 'usual' flowing football but suited Falkirks long ball game. Never a more biased article written in the hostory of journalism.
  25. Reminded me a lot of the Munro goal v Celtic. Both wild but also controlled lashed shots home that nearly burst the net. Wyness - Munro - Dods up front v Falkirk please! :015:
