Swap Rankin with Black would make more sense there. Rankin spends half his game in the opposition half while Blacks tackles back much more. From what I have seen so far anyway.

It is part of the transfer agreement. You know like the one Brewster had with us after he went to Yinited not to try and bid for our players right away.

Not sure about that last comment Alex. Will depend a lot on what 1st team players might turn up for Tokelys game I guess? Any idea how many current 1st teamers might feature in the game? Regarding Hart, I thought he did allright and got forward well to support the lone striker. Had some good crosses and in general was good without excelling. And he also did not look in the slightest over weight.

Nowt special. Duncan scored a good goal and Sloan took his well. Aside from that a 'reserve' side took to the field and struggled to create any real openings. Glass missed some glorious chances and Rory was poor again unfortunately. Parratt was good in the right back slot, very good in fact I thought and was my MOTM. Hart played well as did Duncan and Keogh. We played a 4 - 5 - 1 initially with Rory alone up front and Glass and Campbell as the wingers with a back four of Golly, Hastings, Kerr and Parratt. Fraser was in goals. Hart had a few long range shots go close but it was Duncan who scored with an accurate 'pass' into the net for the opener. In the 2nd half came those misses that will haunt poor Glass. Both were from no more than 1 metre out (I was next to the goal so I know!) and yet he managed to send them both over. Stuart Sloan came on and immediately scored with his third touch. Controlling a loose ball from a corner he stepped inside his man and fired past the goalie to make it 2 - 0. We ended the game playing what looked like 4 - 4 - 2 with Hart and Rory upfront. Fair play to Rory, that's 180 minutes in 2 straight days and he does try but he lacks that cutting edge right now. Agree with that aside from the Caff comment. I thought he was allright. Where do you feel he went wrong? Not having a go but I can't mind him doing anything wrong. I think the 'stand out' mistake was Morgan being robbed for the second goal.

From what I was told last night the Buchan Cup is simply Peterhead v another team they invite to contest it. The last two years it has been ICT. Nope 4 - 4 - 2 though we did go to 3 - 5 - 2 later on. We were poor. I don't think we knew how to score tonight. Rory missed countless efforts and Wyness still doesn't look sharp. Wilson looked good for us and Black played well I thought. Rankin - meh. Nothing special. All of Peterheads goals were utterly brilliant and our defending for the 2nd and 3rd left a lot to be desired. Morgan tried to be too clever with the ball for the 2nd and lost out and Peterhead capitalised. Then for the 3rd we backed off Linn who scored another belter. We could have gone on for ages and not scored an equaliser. We missed numerous one on ones and open goals. After the game we had the pleasure of having a few drinks in the bar and met some of the players and I got my programme signed by all the ICT lads :003: Spoke to Bavidge as well and he was good banter :001:

There are no good forwards available in our price range though. If there were then Falkirk and St. Mirren would be wanting them as well.

Think it's just ICT and P'head that do the Buchan Cup but not sure TBH. Will get some clarification from Mr. Peterhead tonight. Cracking night for it - not a cloud in the sky. Looking forward to seeing Bav missing the usual 300 one on ones!
