  1. Thought so. Just wanted to check if you really did mean that mince you posted. Falkirk generally take a decen crowd with them up to Inverness given their excellent record up here so to suggest 200 Falkirk fans will come up is either a a very poor fishing trip or an insult which is ironic given our poor Away crowds at grounds. I don't think they will take 1,000 fans up but if they did great. With our rip off prices we stand to pocket at least 15k from them. However, given that they took at least 250 up for a pointless midweek game there is no reason why they couldn't hit something like 600 - 700 IMHO.
  2. So you think that Falkirk will take less up the road this Saturday than they did for a midweek game in the Diddy Cup CIS Cup?
  3. I can't mind him reffing a game I have seen this season for us but I haven't been to as many recently.
  4. Unfortunately you don't get the Courier in Aberdeen :006: :016: I did get a copy when I was at Bettyhill in May/June which made my day. No seriously. I just notice that when you check the online editions they never have them - or rather Fridays edition never has them.
  5. Surely if it is a legitimate shout for a penalty then it can be argued as a penalty regardless of its apparent softness? I did say in my post 'if they were merited'. I could have seen for myself of course last night but I'd rather have ironed my own eyeballs than watched Scotgash. However, I cannot emphasise enough how much better that makes the result on Saturday if Rangers were denied a penalty just to further get it right up them.
  6. They have already set aside x amount of money for a rail halt at the Airport I believe.
  7. Why does the Courier no longer have the snippets from this web forum on the Online edition of the IC?
  8. So are you saying that Mr. Brines was being fair in turning down two legitimate shouts for penalties for Rangers? While I find it utterly hilarious that they were never given you can hardly praise his fairness if he did indeed fail to award to spot kicks if they were merited.
  9. Fair enough then. Guess it's the 'other side' of footballers you seldom see. Fair play to him indeed then.
  10. To be fair though, Ferguson is a complete moron.
  11. Certainly during the commentary they said 800. In the interview I think he said 600. As Scotty says he also said or it was later revealed we sold out our allocation. Not really sure what we could have done therefore to make the Away crowd not crap.
  12. Not knowing whether he is serious or not but surely this can't be another poster throwing a huffy and leaving the forum!? :confused02:
  13. Were you listening to Radio Scotland? They said 800 fans were down there.
  14. Graham Coxon tonight at Moshulu! :001:
  15. Anyway getting back on topic... Correct and the sad fact is that while getting on the rails would lessen the strain on the A9 the rail infrastructure is not built to cope. There is momentum gathering to dual the line between Inverness and Aberdeen and to increase the service along the line to an hourly one and I would imagine a similar plan for the route South of Sneck as well. That would help a great deal. ASDA gets loads of its stock up North to Aberdeen with about 4 - 6 containers heading up the line daily. That is for their two stores in Aberdeen and also one at Dyce as well. All great in theory Alex but can you see the people of Inverness and the supermarkets that would utilise this service needing 100 trailers of goods being delivered daily if that is what you are suggesting by saying "40 - 60 trailers a time" because I might have misinterpreted that. You need to also consider the issue of storage problems as well as if you got that many carriages coming up choc full of produce. Where are Tesco and Morrisons going to store it as their warehouses aren't big enough. Even at Christmas Tesco maxed out at about 20 lorries a day IIRC. If your comment about "40 - 60 trailers a time" is meant in the manner I am interpreting it you are suggesting a daily movement of goods on a level seen only at Christmas time. While this would lead to great environmental benefits by reducing traffic on the roads which I am all for, it would potentially lead to a huge amount of food waste accumulating. Finally, the lorries come from Dundee and Livingston not from Perth :016:
  16. Have you not, in a way, just contradicted yourself there? You say he got the goal and that is... Yet you seem to want so much more from him as well and indeed question his selection ahead of other players. Surely if he is scoring these goals then, as you say, you can't really ask for much more from the guy?
  17. Oh what a shock! People don't agree with me! :006: :015: :004: I see what you mean but I died down a couple of hours after the Scotland game but I am still buzzing now and about to head down to get a hold of the P & J now to read about it all again :001:
  18. Okay so in the last week we have had to pretty amazing results with both Scotland and ICT defying the odds to beat their opponents into submission. Now I personally, while happy enough, wasn't dancing all ove the place in delight like others were. I like Scotland but I have to be honest, I am not overly bothered if they win or lose. But with ICTs result on Saturday I was buzzing. When the goal went in I leapt out of my seat and buzzed round the flat much to the amusment of my pals who were there. I was shouting out the window at random passers by in the Matalan car park - it meant so much more than Scotlands goal. Basically, the ICT result made me a lot happier than the Scotland one and reaffirmed I am more of a club supporter than an international one. What about yourselves?
  19. Look at the goal again and I think we need to give more credit to Bayne. At first I thought there was a deflection on the ball before it went in but I don't think there is. In fact, it is a very clever little lob over the keeper as he slides in - a great finish from him :001:
  20. I think you are correct...
