  1. In the league Welsh started 3 games this season going off injured in one after 30 minutes and completing 90 minutes in one other. We defeated QotS and Ayr (this is the game where he went off after half an hour) and lost the other game he started against his old club Partick Thistle. In the Challenge Cup he played the full 90 minutes in the win over Morton and in the Scottish Cup he played on game, the full match, against Livingston where he also scored the winner. He never featured in the Challenge Cup.
  2. Given that Sean Welsh has only played in 7 games this season (completing 90 minutes in only three of those games) I think it's a push to say he should be on that short list

  4. Wrong thread big man
  5. I mind being behind the hotel for that Killie game and howling at the goal not being given. Even more hilarious seeing it back on TV that night.

A heads up for the new podcast coming your way soon...
  7. So, to summarise... Manager stock at all time low? Get rid of him! Player stock at all time low? Sign him!
  8. Any reconstruction will be short term and we will be back to the current setup within a year or two at best. No chance the teams in the top flight will want to share their prize money with any more clubs if they can help it. Could we find ourselves in a similar position to Dundee from a few years back dropped into the top flight at relatively short notice and scrambling to assemble a squad capable of keeping us up?
  9. There were a few quite active ICT Fan groups / accounts on Facebook but I haven't noticed them for a while (that was before the lockdown). You could always get in touch with them and see if you could participate / take over running of them if the group admin isn't interested in it anymore.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it mate. We're trying to see if we can get something similar sorted seeing as this lockdown isn't ending anytime soon...

  13. Correct. The SPFL just asked clubs to submit their vote by today but nothing really stops clubs taking the full 28 days.
  14. Looks like the proposal has been rejected...?
  15. Aberdeen saying they will vote against it. Rangers claiming that other clubs have been in touch to say they feel like they are being bullied by the SPFL. Pinch of salt etc.
  16. It's 75% of clubs in the Premiership, 75% of clubs in the Championship and 75% of clubs in L1 + L2.
  17. https://spfl.co.uk/news/spfl-clubs-to-vote-on-curtailment-of-ladbrokes-s What are the thoughts on this then?
  18. Video doesn't work for me.
  19. Maybe they can also give the fantastic workers in the NHS the wage rise that they deserve. *checks notes* Oh, a lot of Tories voted against that...
  20. I agree. It's a fantastic deflection tactic by the Tories and they've played a blinder with it. You've now got folk thinking that players taking a wage cut will help when in fact it robs the NHS of more money through the tax they would be paying. If the Government really want wealthy people to pay more for public services (which I agree with), then they should be taxing them properly including their rich donor pals and the billionaires.
  21. No idea but even if they are it's not like there are plenty of wealthy businessmen/women, companies and a bunch of others doing likewise. Why go after footballers? Within his own party you have people snaffling £15,000 for giving short speeches (May) accepting all expenses paid for holidays (Johnson) and tax dodging companies (Mogg and family) all of whom are happy to grab as much cash as they possibly can. Perhaps they could lead by example and take a pay cut to show solidarity with the NHS they have short changed for almost a decade.
  22. But a lot of footballers are paying 50% tax on a substantial amount of their salary. For example, a player earning £100,000 a week will be paying 50% tax on £55,000 of his salary (and the rest as well) so therefore they would be contributing £22,500 a week (and the rest) in tax towards the NHS and other things. If you were to cut players wages down to £60,000 a week then only £15,000 would be getting taxed at 50% (or £7,500) as well as the rest. Whilst I agree that players are overpaid they are contributing a fair chunk towards the cost of the NHS already. It's been an excellent example of projecting by the Tories to shift the blame onto others to help people forget it is down to them that the NHS has suffered so many funding shortfalls in the past 10 or so years. I'm sure the likes of Johnson, Hancock and Mogg will rush to take pay cuts to do their bit as well...
