  1. damnations - my first goalscorer bet now needs to be a 90 minute winner by the looks of thing.... You'd think we might need a keeper today.... :thumb04:
  2. On down here but I know that is no consolation - Hammers 0-2 up at Hartelpool - not a bad game....
  3. Strewth - only 1 winning prediction - well done ICTFCkev....let's hope this weeks predictions are just a little better....
  4. 12 players - that might just do it....
  5. Cheers Herr B - thought you or one of the other dalneigh boys might hold the answer....
  6. You're in Fukuoka now? Happy days in Umebayashi, many years ago - still following their J-League progress, such as it is, but it provides a lift occasionally when my other teams fail, as my main one seems to do so spectacularly often these days. Still, someone may be able to turn it around - I haven't a clue who the board's shortlist will be but, for all I'd like to see Robbo back, I just think there may be too many burnt bridges there. Hope not. Ardiles? Nut. Wouldn't be amazed to see Bazza in the frame somewhere, but I reckon they'll surprise us. Again. That's a very good article on ICT's new manager....not something you say about most of the newspapers these days....
  7. Reported in today's paper.... Players joining British teams from outside the European Union will be given a year to learn English and pass an exam on the basics, under new immigration rules which come into force this autumn. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given the scheme his backing. (Times) Wonder what happens after a year if they still can't order a family meal at McDonalds....
  8. Still no odds being posted so I guess the bookies reckon the decision has been made - maybe IHE was onto something....
  9. He's looking good for another win in Oz this morning....
  10. My perfect cousin - The Undertones "he flicked the kick" He's gotta degree in economics Maths - physics and bionics He thinks that I'm a cabbage Cos I hate university challenge Even at the age of ten Smart boy Kevin was a smart boy then He always beat me at Subbuteo Cos he flicked the kick And I didn't know Oh my perfect cousin ..
  11. The club has spoken to Sutton yesterday also but I don't think you are far off there....
  12. More commonly known as Caley and Jags but in one old derby programme I came across they are referred to as 'the lads from the Big Green' and 'the men from Up the Hill' - the Up the Hill refrence to Kingsmills I can understand but what is the Big Green reference about....any ideas?
  13. I also came across the programme for this game this evening.... The Highland squad was (Starting XI in bold): Bobby Gray (Keith) Billy Macdonald (Caledonian) Roshie Fraser (Inv. Thistle) Ian Bruce (Buckie Thistle) Dave Cochrane (Nairn County) Doug Considine (Huntly) Robbie Giles (Ross County) Gordon Buchan (Elgin City) Charlie Duncan (Peterhead) Willie MacDonald (Buckie Thistle) Peter Corbett (Caledonian) Ian Wilson (Elgin City) Billy Urquhart (Caledonian) Jim MacKay (Ross County) Ray MacKintosh (Caledonian) Donald MacKay (Brora Rangers) Louis Duncan (Keith) Scotland XI Squad: Jim Stewart (Kilmarnock) Bobby Clark (Aberdeen) Alan Sneddon (Celtic) Roy Aitken (Celtic) Roddy McDonald (Celtic) Gregor Stevens (Motherwell) Paul Hegarty (Dundee Utd) Tony Fitzpatrick (St. Mirren) Eamon Bannon (Hearts) Bobby Russel (Rangers) Davie Provan (Kilmarnock) Graeme Payne (Dundee Utd) Frank McGarvey (St. Mirren) George McLuskey (Celtic) John McMaster (Aberdeen) some of whom were also in the squad to go to Argentina.... Even the programme got into the hysteria of the day and after listing all of Scotland's group matches finished the item with BUENOS AIRES, June 25th Scotland v ???? - only if.... :thumb04:
  14. I dug out the Caley v Leicester City programme from March 1983 and both Kevin MacDonald and Ian Wilson were in the Leicester City side that evening (Nicky Walker was in the stand) as well as a certain G. Lineker (wonder whatever happened to him.... )
  15. Elgin away @ 4.80 as well - ta muchly
  16. Now there's a new name to add to the mix....
  17. Victor Chandler's have pulled their bet special on the Inverness Manager - do you think they know something or just bored by it all....?
  18. Aledgedly O'Neill gave the club a glowing report on him but was that just a ruse to keep our hands off someone else closer to home....????
  19. Rory has left the club by mutual consent according to article on official site Official Site Article Good luck to him wherever he ends up - you never know we may see him back at the stadium with the away team one day soon. Has another striker been identified yet I wonder....any of those potential managers strikers....? Damn one of them is - well here we go again....
  20. Inverness have spoken to one of the candidates for their managerial vacancy - but they still have at least four more to speak to over the weekend. Caledonian Thistle chairman George Fraser and director of football Graeme Bennett interviewed one contender in person on Thursday. And they hope to speak to the others by Monday, allowing an appointment to be made early next week. BBC Article on Interviews It seems the three is now five....it's going to be a busy weekend....
  21. I have some vague recollection that in the early 80's there was an HL championship flag that said Caledonion. 'Mon the Onions! Sorry off topic but Class Comment - they should have known better and not sent it to A4 PRINT
  22. How do you think the ICT Board are financing the new signings? That must explain why Paul Lambert has just been added to the list at 25/1.... :thumb04: See Barry is also now down to 14/1....McCall slipping also (phew....)
  23. The big movers from this morning's odds seem to be Knox 8/1 to 9/4 and Sutton 14/1 to 13/2 with the biggest mover Malpas (this one is worrying) from 22/1 to 12/1....and Ardiles has been shortened further from 2/1 to 7/4....somebody must be laying big money somewhere.... Still none the wiser though....
  24. Heskey's not coming then.... Seriously though - since Bayne went this is the kind of forward I would like to see coming to Inverness Heskey signs for Villa
