Speechless - didn't think the jokers that run Scottish Football could do anything more farcical than the previous league proposals and rulings they have been dishing up over the last few years but they have gone and trumped those. What a farce. The world is laughing at Scottish Football again but they seem oblivious to the poor decisions they continue to make and how they undermine the same product they are trying to sell to sponsors. Does anybody know where you can apply to get one of the positions that this collection of numb-nuts currently hold?

A poor poor result. Change of attitude going into these games is needed. No negative comments from management team that can be interpreted as defeat is acceptable going forward please. Every game is winnable - anything less is unacceptable. Not happy.

More interest in this one than the official one - is there a game of football on? ;-)

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
I blame the Ricky 'Raintown' Ross Scottish Cup connection but will Fergus be singing the blues in a few weeks?

Replacement Striker?
Good news on the new signings but nothing on the official web-site about either - where are the obligatory photos of player with scarf and/or top

3 league games in a month and then 3 league games in a week - that is about right from the powers that be ;-) Don't think that will stop us though :-)

Best team in the UK?
When I saw Tichy's byline as the last post I was sure he was going to quote Inverness Thistle as the best team in Britain in 1986-87 with 33 league games undefeated that season! Charles - this one.... 1986/87 1. Inverness Thistle 34-87 (96-30) 27 6 1 ------------------------------------------------------- 2. Inverness Caledonian 34-81 (114-31) 25 6 3 3. Indeed a great match and the atmosphere was electric. Even now it is still up there among the best games I have been to for atmosphere (and the right result): 1. Liverpool 5 Alves 4 (2001, Westfalenstadion, Dortmund) 2. Inverness Thistle 3 Kilmarnock 0 (1985, Kingsmills Park, Inverness) 3. Portugal 2 England 2 (pens 6-5) (2004, Estadio da Luz, Lisbon) Here's hoping we get a Scottish Cup Final game that can challenge those :-)

Scottish cup quarter final draw
Blimey, what were the chances of that? ....and hopefully the opportunity for a decent crowd as we try and make it Scottish Cup semi-final #3....

Scottish cup quarter final draw
According to blog site trivia Dundee Utd will now play Celtic on three consecutive weekends in three different competitions at three different venues

30 years ago today
It is 30 years ago today (9th February 1985) during the playing of the 100th Scottish Cup that Inverness Thistle beat Kilmarnock 3-0 at Kingsmills Park in the third round. This is still looked upon by Kille fans as their biggest Scottish Cup defeat and so maybe the club could put a little reminder of it in the programme for the home game against Killie on the 21st February to mark the milestone (for historical purposes only). In a nod to this season's Scottish Cup - that same year in the 2nd Round Thistle beat Spartans 2-1 away after a 1-1 draw at Kingsmills Park. Caley defeated Berwick Rangers 3-0 in a 2nd replay after 1-1 and 3-3 draws. Therefore it would be fiiting that today's Scottish Cup draw paired us against the winners of the Berwick Rangers/Spartans tie. This would allow the club and the media (ok - maybe not the BBC) to reflect on how far we have come in such a short time.

Where's the transfer window????

Transfer Window approaching.
I wouldn't rule it out totally. Rory Loy like Mckay's contract is up at the end of the season. Falkirk may deal at lower price and the money received for Mckay could be put into purchasing Loy. From Falkirk FC web-site The Club can confirm they have turned down an improved offer for the services of striker Rory Loy from Hamilton Academical. Director Ronnie Bateman told the Official Website that they had considered the offer carefully but it was not in line with the Club’s current valuation of the player. Bateman added, “We also took into consideration the contribution the player might make to our quest for promotion and success in Scottish Cup games.” For once though some money being spent in the Scottish game between Scottish Clubs....Aberdeen it appears do actually think they are a big club....

Why is Mckay's goal tally no longer shown in the Top Scorers table on the BBC web-site?

250K given all the factors I think would have been a good deal. Even at that it would be a cracking bargain for Wigan.

Graeme Shinnie
Disappointed that he has gone to Aberdeen mainly because I thought he could have done much better. At the end of the day though it's his career and his choice. He's served us well and if he doesn't move on this month I am sure he will continue to perform in the same way. Onwards and upwards as they say.
