  1. King to sign on 1st August - linky here.... http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/561-king-set-to-reign Good news - and available for selection for the Midden game
  2. Not the best choice of words I agree especially under the current circumstances. There is definitely something going on though and I am sure at some point it will all come out and I suspect it will all revolve around the poor deals that the SPL had in place. Still can't get my head around this newco/oldco arrangement. I actually think Green is correct when he says there is no precedence for the stance being taken by the SFA/SPL and it will be interesting to see what Europe thinks of it. Can only think it may make our footballing leadership look naive and unprofessional once again. It is time to get over it. Rangers oldco are gone. Rangers newco have started where they deserved to start. The newco has no rights to the oldco's honours and so the first thing that should be going are those five stars above the badge. Their new club has a clean sheet with which to show Scottish football in a different light but I am not sure if they will take it. It's just a pity they didn't take the other half with them as this problem is not just about one club. Who knows next season maybe....
  3. The good old days.... :love02: How will they both last through this separation?
  4. ....and what was that Sun advert pitch side.... From Page 3 to Division 3 ....they must have been up all night working on that one
  5. A crowd of 4,070 - good for Brechin and a bit of TV money as well. Rangers look disjointed and are far from the oldco team but early days for them I suppose. It will make for some interesting games this season in the league and cups. I think this whole thing could provide a bigger boost for the lower leagues of Scottish football than everybody thinks and maybe overall the general interest in Scottish football.
  6. Ian Black signs contract in the new Rangers trophy room.
  7. Guess the crowd got their money's worth watching this one
  8. But still no King?
  9. There is an article on The Chogg on the official site at http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/558-chriss-comeback-countdown A possible caption competition opportunity me thinks....
  10. Seemingly for the last two seasons the places have gone to the top two placed Highland League teams with a valid SFA club license....allegedly.... From wikithicki.... The 2012–13 Scottish Challenge Cup, known as the Ramsdens Challenge Cup due to sponsorship reasons with Ramsdens, will be the 22nd season of the competition. It will be competed for by 32 clubs, which includes the 30 members of the Scottish Football League, and for the second season running, the top two Highland Football League clubs with a valid SFA club license. Inverurie Loco Works who finished fourth and Wick Academy eighth of the Highland Football League qualified for the competition for the first time after being asked to compete following their work in the SFA's Club Licensing programme. Clubs ranked higher such as Forres Mechanics are not compliant with the programme so the qualification spot moved to a lower ranked club. Buckie Thistle and Deveronvale were ruled out due to being invited to last season's competition.
  11. Remember this from not so long ago.... http://www.thesun.co....html?print=yes Give Tel a team of Tokelys Butcher admits that he has been blown away by Tokely’s commitment since he took over as boss in January. And he said: “I actually wish I had three Ross Tokelys in the team — one to play right back, one in central defence and another one to go up front. “Ross is a great club man and as honest as the day is long. He’s a great sort of professional, my type of player. “Along with the likes of Ryan Esson, Grant Munro and Russell Duncan he is part of the backbone of our team.
  12. Good player over the years.... ....or did you just mean....
  13. In search of a striker with a regular goalscoring ability.... This is a list of the top 4 goalscorers from each of Div 1, 2 and 3. I assume that there is nobody from this lot that would have been worth a pop. I see that Kilmarnock have signed up Livingston striker Rory Boulding on a 3-year deal (he netted 11 last season). Martin Boyle (2) - Montrose - 22 Steven Doris (3) - Arbroath - 21 Ryan Donnelly (2) - Airdrie - 20 Ryan Wallace (3) - East Fife - 20 Jamie Longworth (3) - Queens Park - 20 Rory McAllister (3) - Peterhead - 20 Colin McMenamin (1) - Ross County - 19 Stevie May (3) - Alloa - 19 - St.Jonhstone Farid El Alagui (1) - Falkirk - 18 - Brentford Marc McKenzie (2) - Cowdendeath - 17 Chris Templeman (2) - Forfar - 16 Kris Doolan (1) - Partick -13 Michael Gardyne (1) - Ross County - 13 - Dundee Utd
  14. Report (sort of) from the Scotsman.... http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/sfl-division-two/brechin-city-2-1-inverness-ct-brechin-take-spl-scalp-ahead-of-rangers-tie-1-2430473 Both Brechin goals from McKenna - running at about 50 from 200 appearances - that is the type of strike rate we could do with from somebody at the moment
  15. Nothing on the official site yet....maybe today....
  16. Match report from the Courier.... http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/ICT-overcome-Coventry.htm
  17. Butt space still available though ;-) Kleenex?
  18. Good news - another useful revenue stream http://ictfc.com/new...-get-a-qleg-upq Maybe something across the back next....always remember the austrian league teams used to be a little OTT though with the advertising on tops, shorts and socks....
  19. I'd go for b), a) and then c)
  20. Hope that is just a keyboard slip and not a reference to donkeys or the like....
  21. Major concern with that is the physical element to the game in the SPL and players easily pushed off the ball with either lack of physique or experience. We shall see - looking forward to being proved wrong.
  22. Well done Ernie 2002 and now 2012. As the man himself said you expect there is at least one major in Scotty....hard to take but he'll bounce back.
  23. Indeed - you have to say that the balance of power is with the SFL on this one.... ....and SFL have now stated that they will not be stripping old Rangers of any league cup titles between 2001 and 2010.
  24. Now it seems clearer what all the dragging of feet is all about. Not really transfer embargos or stripping of titles but TV rights. Has anything changed in the corridors of power? It will be Interesting to see how this one plays out in the next 7 days.
