    Dundee Utd have now released a statement also saying no to a SPL2 and football needs to move forward with the new Rangers in Division 3. Both they and Hearts want to make their positions clear before Monday's meeting. After today's board meeting maybe we should be doing the same

    Probably not the best (or most clever) thing to have done at the present time. Report below tries to show the effect that a SPL without Rangers will have on the remaining clubs.     If I had to guess based purely on the financial climate I would say down but comparison with last season's number at same time would be interesting. I see Livingston have a season ticket counter on their web-site - it states 435 http://www.livingstonfc.co.uk/ PS - I see they have new adidas home and away tops and their first pre-season friendly was yesterday afternoon (they lost 2-0 at Grangemouth Stadium to Romanian side CS Concordia). They are playing against another Romanian top league team Rapid Bucharest on Saturday. Seemed to have arranged themselves some decent visitors.

    So a majority is required in the SFL ballot. Dundee have already reported they have been told they cannot vote and 11 of the other 29 clubs have already suggested no to SFL1 so SFL3 looks more likely unless some new ruling/deal is written/brokered. Will be intreresting to see how the teams from the different divisions vote.

    John Fleck off to Coventry City on a three year deal - this time the newco does get some cash on a 'sell on clause' That just leaves this lot to sort themselves out - Allan McGregor, Rhys McCabe, Sone Aluko, Steven Davis, and Juan Manuel Ortiz.
