  1. agree with all that. our midfield is letting us down badly too.too many players of a similar style and some played out of position for good measure. crossing and set plays are woefull as is service to strikers.if cowie wont sign i say get him straight to f**K because we wont miss him anyway. disagree with your comments about the midfield....they have been getting nothing but absolute praise the whole season from the pundits. must be the same pundits who say the tcs is such a hard place to come to and that we're well organised and hard to break down every week. they must be right

  3. ok just in.my observations........ a decent first half performance was lost with a **** poor second half.effort but no class. 1 up front = bag of sh!te rooney should start regardless and come january we need someone experienced to partner him but wont hold my breath as we'll probably sign a donkey, speaking of donkeys..... barrowman up front = lazy waste of space, cant jump, send back to county please we need to keep blackie obviously but if we lose cowie its not a big deal. his cross for the goal was the first decent cross he's done in ages and our midfielders are all too similar.we've got guys coming through as good as he is and if we get a few quid in january for him then great. the service to the strikers is diabolical and has been throughout the season, our crossing and set plays are embarrassing. were frustratingly close in personnel to being a good team but also scarely close to being pish enough to go down.

    agreed
  5. wonder if our old friend real jags will be making a comeback on here
  6. i'm somewhere between delighted and not giving a toss about the result. with celtic getting every dodgy decision going for them in the league its hard not to laugh at their luck away in europe. roll on saturday
  7. a combination of things but thats about the size of it, plus tactics have been poor at times, luck has not been on our side much at home and i think the players seem nervous at home
  8. :thumb04: :018: ;) :015: missed pen. could do with this luck at home
  9. long 6 minutes coming up
  10. a united win would really be nice too for us, even a draw. still 1. 0 hamilton though

wyness and dargo playing well and looking dangerous.
  12. take it from me business in the area has already gone well and truly down the tubes.tulloch homes is basically mothballed at the moment as are almost all housing developments. sutherland has moved into the hotel trade of late. wouldn't the stadium make a good hotel site he's done some good for the club in the past when we've been in dire straits but isnt so keen to spend on the playing side of things which to me illustrates how the business man takes precedent over the football man and so seperates him from the likes of eddie thomson, who aspired first and foremost to win trophies and even from alan savage who had much higher aspirations for us. personally i think he's the reason we're in the state we're in now and that we're now going backwards under his control and that he should have put up or shut up where savage was concerned.
  13. 1.0 and getting absolutely pished on.
  14. just after they sign for any team in the central belt

the strip colour is always a bone of contention with the thistle/caley merger and you cant keep everyone happy. instead of trying to merge the two, and please almost nobody, why not design a predominently red and black jags one and a blue and white kit caley one both with the ict badge obviously and sell them as 2nd or third kits or just as a retro style top so that fans could buy whichever they liked. the jags one would be a big hit at least
  16. I noted the comment about Duff being due a pay rise if he makes 10 starting appearances for the first team .... think thats the standard youth/development contract .... considering he has now made 9 starts, that may be part of the reason ??? if thats the case then things are even worse than i thought
  17. I have to agree with the lack of quality but the tactics WERE flawed - as stated. Are you telling me that the constant long high balls to Rooney and Barrowman were effective. Can you tell me which of them was the target man and which was the runner. Can you tell me why we persisted with the long throw ? Would Bazza coming o feresh fer the last 30 have made a difference ? aye not disagreeing with that really. thought in terms of line up and formation we were about right but yes tactics in terms of how we played the game were one dimentional and pretty ineffective against the hearts.think the game showed bazza of more use as a sub although perhaps he deserved a start after wednesday.time to bring out zander maybe ?
  18. aye you could say duff should start ahead of proctor but think the majority of folk would think tactics were about right against the hearts. lack of quality is our problem
  19. what exactly is stopping him coming on. is it just the shoulder or has he actually decided thats it as far as playing goes? dont think to many would grumble if he got a start regardless of match fitness and age.i dont see anyone else with his quality and experience joining us in january
  20. if anyones to blame its sutherland
  21. Tokeley is another player well past his sell by date, please do take your blinkers of! tokely was indeed the best player on the park today
  22. aye cant complain too much about the tactics.were just not very good and thats the harsh reality until the transfer window at least. dont think the goal was lucky though.we invited the boy to shoot and he hit it straight in the corner
