The number of players through those particular youth systems should be far greater than that number. Although I suppose Celtic can afford to let the likes of Shay Given slip through their greasy, tatty munching fingers.

No it is not misplaced. Mike Smith is ultimately responsible as he was the one in charge who issued the instructions to watch the singing section yet other sections around the ground were left alone. No not childish at all. Either everyone stands or everyone sits. Consistancy is vital here, if that doesn't happen how can we ever respect what is essentially men in fluorescent yellow jackets of ultimate power? Go to the police mate. That is nothing short of assault. They wear fluorescent yellow jackets to make them easily identifiable, the jackets do not give them the right to use excessive force.

If this stewards actions were as they are described there, then it is not only unacceptable, it is assault. Get your mate to fire an assault charge at the steward.

Wasn't at the game today, but I am appalled at what I've read on here. If this is true, then I for one call for Mike Smith to resign immediately. Smith, you are a disgrace to the club, you will not be missed.

Has there been any more on the "adopt an anthem" issue? I still think Flower O' Scotland is very apt given that we are caley jaggies and would be the song that is mostly likely to get the entire stadium belting it out! Wont be there unfortunately, but if all goes well, I fully intend getting a season ticket in the Noisy Section next season.

I don't know, probably. There's a guy I work with here, who's dad is pally with Mileson. Aparently Gretna wasn't even his first choice team to be a sugar daddy for!

They don't need a youth set up. There's a perfectly decent set up not far from where they are in the shape of Carlisle. I'm told that all the young players that don't make it at Carlisle go to Gretna in order to further their career.

Indeed competition for places can only be a good thing, however roscoe23's calling for a replacement for Tokely. Even though he's not had his best season, for me, he's one of the first names on the team sheet.

I'll give you credit for wanting to make an atmosphere at games, but on this topic you have no clue about what your talking about. Proctor and Parrat have both failed in that area because Tokely is possibly one of the best full backs in the SPL. His consistancy and fitness are both aspects of his game that should be an example to younger players throughout Scotland. Theres no doubting the youth cup winners ability's, but I'm afraid even they would fail to take Rossco's starting place away from them due to inexperience and schoolboy errors. Tokely is a true ICT legend and is not in the ICT starting XI because he's pally with CC, he is there on merit. Long may he continue to pull on the shirt and play his socks off!

Actually section A seems like the better idea rather than the south part of the Main Stand. Anything we conjour up with our vocal "talents" might be more likely to catch on through the rest of the home crowds considering we'd be in right in the middle of the home crowd... :024:
