  1. Sounds like we're being pished on... :007:
  2. Possibly because we don't need to buy anyone to replace him. I feel Vigurs has what it takes to replace him and do a better job!

Some of the St Mirren fans on P & B would have you believe that we are their feeder club... :017:

Simply not true: wing backs tend to have a defensive midfielder to back-fill for them when the attack gets turned over and the opposition hit on the break. With the purely attacking-holding midfield we play just now you're bound to get caught out now and then. Do you really believe Ross would be doing what he's doing and still getting a start if the manager had told him not to? If you see gaps in defence, you need to target your criticism a bit higher up the food chain, and take a pop at Brew for being too attack-minded... On ye go :016: I've highlighted the important part of my post there. Take Hastings in that game as a prime example. After tearing Gretna's defence a new ersehole, and narrowly missing a goal. He got back in time enough, to be able to pick up who he was marking and be ready for the goal kick to be taken. The same cannot be said for Tokely. He was found out against Aberdeen and he'll be found out in games in the future. Now is the time to drop him to the bench (Note I am not calling for his head) and used as a super sub for Cowie, or used as a centre back. As for Brew, it looks like I'm one of the those people who will have to accept I may have been wrong to criticise his appointment and I have no intention of having a pop at him for encouraging attacking football. It's just a pity he's not spotted this weak point in our team.
  5. Not meaning to put a downer on a 3-0 win or anything, but I felt that our second half performance was our worst of the season. We gave the ball away constantly! Had we been playing someone higher up the table than Gretna, we would have been punished heavily with that performance. Credit to Fraser though he kept the clean sheet and made some good saves in doing so (my MotM).

So if he's fit enough to make runs for 90mins that makes it sheer lazyness that he doesn't get back in time - all the more reason to bench him for a few games IMO. I agree though if he could get back in time to defend I'd have no complaints about him at all!

Does the phrase 'wing back' mean anything to you? :023: I think his link-up with Cowie has been excellent recently, regardless of his form elsewhere on the park. Generally wing backs are able to get back after they've made an attacking run. Rosscoe is unfit, and deserves to be dropped until such a time that he can learn not to go forward unless he has the legs to get back in time to defend as well.

I felt he was pretending to be an attacking midfielder. Tokely was ahead of Cowie more often than he was behind him. Then of course it took him his statutory 5 minutes to jog back to where he should have been in the first place. If it were me in charge, I'd drop him to the bench for a few games and use him as super sub for Cowie.
  9. David Bingham to score an own goal and our fourth of the day tomorrow... :021: :crazy07:
  10. :010: Condolences to friends and family. Completely shocked by this, only 35 and I can only assume fully fit. Reminds me of Marc-Vivien Foe. A truely sad day.
  11. Fraser for MoM anyone?
  12. Listen to the hearts fans! :015:
  13. :rotflmao: Listen to those boo's!!
  14. Sounds very much like Hearts are playing long ball constantly! Also Phil McGuire might be coming off soon, bashed heads with Hastings of all people I think...
  15. Who told a newspaper that he had no intentions of moving away from Easter Road.
  16. Wages will definately be a sticking point. I spoke to him and his parents the season before he made his move to Cardiff, when he was on ?9k a week at Greyskull. He didn't exactly take a pay cut in his move south either...
  17. On the tin... Linkage **** fine effort from Russia :001:

Why we still have this diddy is a complete mystery to me. In fact I hope Brewster has a cull of all our diddies including: Duncan, McCaffrey, McBain, McAllister and finally the bottom of the barrell, Fraser.
  21. I feel that Brewster was nothing special at all. Ok, so he's credited with getting the players fit be it totally down to him, or a fitness coach... big deal?... If he makes a return can we look forward to him alienating our new foreign player as he did to Juanjo? Can we look forward to the regular-as-clockwork punt up the field tactics? Can we look forward to never seeing a substitution ever again... at least not until 85mins or so? Can we look forward to his absolute drivel after matches?... "Disappointing in the second half, I felt we started well especially in the defence, getting the ball up as much as possible. Credit to <Enter SPL team here> though, they showed more drive throughout the game."
  22. Is Morgan not an attacking left back?
  23. Romania is indeed in the EU, however Romania were told that any people looking to come to the UK to live, they would be subject to a work permit application. Usually the work permit application looks at the applicants credentials, e.g. a Romanian doctor looking to come here would have to provide medical certificates etc. In this particular case, Mr Niculae will be asked to present his caps and being that has has 26, he SHOULD have no bother at all! :crazy07:

Actually I have my own theory about who "sophia" is. Anyone remember The Prudent Student?....
  25. I wish I put money on that now :007:
