The highlight reel and TV show maybe helped him get to this point, but what he does from here is up to him ..... I am happy enough to trust in TB and his backroom team when it comes to recognising potential, realising that potential is always up to the player

I spat out my coffee reading this comment !!! hot coffee burns the nostrils. thanks Charles, a classic line from you Lets just say that even those trying to retain anonymity do leave a footprint behind. However, the data protection act would prevent me from saying anything more if i could be bothered checking into that suggestion .....

Have you got those figures to hand? Would make interesting reading. not always, but yes, they did have higher averages than ICT for 8 of the 10 seasons where both were in the same league. The first couple of seasons were within a couple of hundred or so and very likely effects of the merger on the ICT side coupled with some Jaggies who would not go to Telford street. By the time we moved into TCS and won the 3rd div in 96/97 we were well above them and the following year, both teams saw their average drop considerably (because of no derbies presumably). From 2000 to 2004 County were well above ICT in attendance average, but that also coincided with the famous (infamous) jokes about the very real padding of the figures by counting season ticket holders who had not actually entered the ground on any given match day. ICT obviously got a bump entering the SPL and some of that carried through when we were relegated as we had 1000 more than County, and this season, County were about 400 above us, but remember, they had 3 games against Celtic at home in the 6K range and we only had 2, plus you have to consider the anticipated SPL 'bump' so it will be interesting to see how it pans out next season when both of these top six teams battle it out 94/95 RCFC = 1566, ICT = 1276 both in SFL3 95/96 RCFC = 1749, ICT = 1579 both in SFL3 96/97 RCFC = 1789, ICT = 2495 both in SFL3 97/98 RCFC = 1330, ICT = 1762 RC in SFL3, ICT in SFL2 98/99 RCFC = 1643, ICT = 2119 RC in SFL3, ICT in SFL2 99/00 RCFC = 2293, ICT = 2282 both in SFL2 00/01 RCFC = 2789, ICT = 2133 both in SFL1 01/02 RCFC = 2757, ICT = 2045 both in SFL1 02/03 RCFC = 2678, ICT = 2181 both in SFL1 03/04 RCFC = 3203, ICT = 2374 both in SFL1 04/05 RCFC = 2336, ICT = 4067 RC in SFL1, ICT in SPL 05/06 RCFC = 2302, ICT = 5061 RC in SFL1, ICT in SPL 06/07 RCFC = 2344, ICT = 4814 RC in SFL1, ICT in SPL 07/08 RCFC = 2246, ICT = 4753 RC in SFL2, ICT in SPL 08/09 RCFC = 2225, ICT = 4457 RC in SFL1, ICT in SPL 09/10 RCFC = 2465, ICT = 3509 both in SFL1 10/11 RCFC = 2358, ICT = 4526 RC in SFL1, ICT in SPL 11/12 RCFC = 2745, ICT = 4023 RC in SFL1, ICT in SPL 12/13 RCFC = 4429, ICT = 4038 both in SPL

experienced a couple of those wild days .... there's quite a few stories from back then. Dont think he is quite the player now that he once was though - still got the skill, but plays a more central role and gets others to do the running !!!
-
Ach, IHE is pasta his best as for Dani ... hope he scores on his debut, otherwise while his scoring tally stays at naan, his new team will be waiting a while for him to poppadam goal in.

We didnt start this award until 2000/01 season ..... wonder who we would have added if we had done this from the very first season .... Here's the officially recognised awards from each season .. for some reason I dont have last year (other than our own)
-
with Liam Keogh and Jonny Hayes as subs ..... It hadnt registered with me that we have had enough players in different positions who have won it to make a full team without any of them really looking out of place positionally .... these awards (in general) tend to go to 'glory' players like attacking mids or strikers so happy to see the CTO membership over the years is discerning enough to recognise great talent in whatever position it plays

Many of those players will simply re-sign with their current clubs, they are just technically out of contract. Flood, McFadden and Higdon are obvious names most of us might like to see at ICT, but doubt any of them will head this way. There was talk of Paddy McCourt coming to MLS, but not sure how serious that was or whether it originated in some fan forum somewhere and just grew arms and legs. I could also see Rory Fallon heading this side of the pond, perhaps even to Toronto given that former New Zealand captain Ryan Nelson is manager here and Fallon is also a New Zealand international. We currently have his fellow NZ striker Jeremy Brockie on loan for a few months as cover for Robert Earnshaw and until Danny Koevermans is back to full fitness, but he is going back to A League in July/Aug so a spot might open up. Was watching Canada / Costa Rica friendly the other day and it also seems Hainault is not sure of his future at County. He was interviewed and it did not sound like he has been offered anything (yet). Was talking about finding a club ..... not one for us, but interesting that County seem to have blanked a few players towards the end of the season ... Didnt Vigurs also say something about being offered nothing yet !

Dont really give a toss about the 2nd kit, its a change kit and should give us an opportunity to try different combinations ... Dont recall us ever having had a red/black kit so no problem with that ..... However, I definitely think our home strip should always be some combination of Red/Blue stripes and we should stick with that year in and year out. Maybe alternate the thickness of the stripes, or which colour is more predominant so sales don't suffer, but always striped. Black/White can be added as piping just as it is now and all our historical colours are then taken care of.

For some reason, 'Rio' by that 80's band "Doran Doran" springs to mind ... something about his name being Aaron and dancing down the wing !!! sorry to our younger posters, that will probably go over your heads ! or to the tune of the Pink Panther ..... Doran, Doran, Doran-Doran-Doran ......etc.,

The more I think about it, the more I like this deal ...... Obviously, he is a good player and has come on leaps and bounds. We are all happy to see him sign a new deal. BUT, for me the most pleasing aspect is that it is a three year deal ..... Firstly, here is a player at age 22, with other clubs sniffing around, who is prepared to commit himself to our club for more than the standard 2 year contract, and secondly, and more importantly, our club has broken through that barrier of only offering 2 year deals and using the excuse of hedging our bets against relegation to justify it. Maybe we have finally matured as a club and after our 4th place finish this season, we finally see ourselves as an SPL team, there on merit, and not relegation fodder ... a big step forward for all concerned.
-
Glad to hear this, and happy to see the club offering a 3 year deal rather than the normal 2 years ....

Who mentioned Mo ? I think TB knows now that he does his best work with his backroom team of Mo and Marsella ... wherever he goes after ICT those two will be part of the management team agreed with his new bosses or he just wont go ..... not sure if Marsella was with him at Motherwell, but what he and Mo did there was pretty damn good .... but TB without Mo, and Mo as a manager in his own right, not so much !!! I think they both learned that lesson! Could definitely see Adams being top of the list for 'Well, probably already sent in his seethe-V ..... as for County, not sure if former managers would go back, they (RCFC) always seem to burn their bridges with them .... although Cooper did go back as assistant ....so maybe him ? What about Yogi Hughes (for either job)? sacked by Hartlepool a couple of weeks ago ?
-
apparently Phil Neville, Steve Bould, Roberto Di Matteo and Gus Poyet are the names in the frame right now

A shitty football weekend for me !!!! Toronto FC lost 1-0 to Columbus yesterday and looked as disinterested and lacking ideas as we currently do ... and now us throwing away European qualification over the last few games ... and not looking like we care !

Eurodoor slammed shut Inverness were beached at the Global Energy Sandpit when Ross County left us seething and checking lastminute.com for new holiday destinations as we failed to get the result required to send us through the EuroDoor. Inverness failed to cope with the loss of their entire first choice midfield as Draper, Foran and Jones were all absent for such a crucial game leaving Andy Shinnie ploughing a lone furrow on the Dingwall tattie field. A super strike from Andre Hainault sealed our fate with St Johnstone doing the business to steal the Euro slot from under our feet. It had been a tremendous season for both clubs leading up to this occasion but it was a bridge too far from our point of view. One trip too many to visit our neighbours who took control of the game and deservedly beat an out of sorts Inverness. County had a late call off with Paul Gallacher replacing the injured Michael Fraser in goal. To be honest, they needn't have bothered as Inverness never troubled the keeper and County mopped up some weak Inverness attacks which ended on the head of Boyd and Co. Owain Tudur-Jones was a surprise absentee for Inverness who started with young Connor Pepper out wide and Daniel Devine and Charlie Taylor trying to fill the void left by Draper and Foran who were serving bans. 6002 fans turned out and great credit to the Inverness fans who were having a ball, win or lose as they stayed behind to cheer their team long after the final whistle had sounded. Devine almost got Inverness off to the perfect start but his stabbed effort narrowly missed the target. County responded and Sproule should have opened the scoring after being set up by Vigurs but he clipped his shot over the bar with Reguero helpless. County were getting to grips with the game and Inverness were rarely seen in an attacking sense and Reguero had to look sharp to deny Mihael Kovacevic after he burst through a gaping void in the Inverness rearguard. Wohlfarth and Kettlewell both flashed shots just wide as County kept the pace up and Butcher was willing his side to get to the break unbreached. However, a goal was coming and after Inverness failed to clear an attack conclusively Hainault pounced on the loose ball to volley beyond Reguero from around ten yards, the goal coming just a minute before the break. Fotheringham still had time for one last attempt before the whistle but it went straight at Reguero. Half Time 1-0 Inverness lurked with a bit more intent after the break and Doran fired a volley straight down the keepers throat. Billy McKay almost snatched a leveller after re-directing a shot from Raven but it looped agonisingly wide. It was better from Inverness but we looked as though we could play all day without scoring. Reguero was doing his best to keep the score down with another fine save, diving low to his right but it was County who were now looking for more although Shane Sutherland almost teed up a strike for Shinnie but Gallacher was alert to it and snuffed out the chance and with it Inverness' Euro dream. Vigurs almost made it two in the last few minutes as he smacked a free kick off the junction of post and bar for what would have been a spectacular goal and the ref finally ended our day as the beach balls rained onto the pitch with the Inverness fans singing loud and proud on what was a massively disappointing result, but a fabulous season. Even Derek Adams clapped his appreciation, not missed by the Inverness end who quickly boo'd him in response, but the mood remained jovial long after the final whistle, but we were hurting. Full Time 1-0 tm4tj MotM goes to the away fans who were just brilliant despite the reverse, and Andy Shinnie oozed class but lacked support from those around him. 19th May 2013 Scottish Premier League Global Energy Stadium, Dingwall Ross County 1 - Hainault (43) TEAM: Gallacher, Kovacevic, Ikonomou, Boyd, Hainault, Lawson, Sproule (Cooper 90), Vigurs, Kettlewell, Fotheringham (Scott 80), Wohlfarth (Glen 67) SUBS: McCarthy, Munro, MacPhee, Porritt Booked: Sproule (27), Boyd (36), Kettlewell (55) Sent Off: none Inverness CT 0 - TEAM: Reguero, Raven, G.Shinnie, Hogg, Meekings, Pepper (Ross 36), Doran, Devine, Taylor (Sutherland 78), A.Shinnie, McKay SUBS: Esson, Laing, Polworth, Ferguson, Christie Booked: G.Shinnie (27), Meekings (71), Raven (90) Sent Off: none Referee Euan Norris Attendance 6002

Simple. They expect the manager to win the league and cup and if possible the champions league too after the sheik pouring in £1billion !!! Also 15% increase in cost of season tickets over the last two years with supporters predicting another rise this year .... just not as much as the 9% from last year ... although to be fair, they do have the second cheapest season tickets in the Premiership after Wigan ! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19842397

That puts a smile on my face for the rest of the morning .... think Adams should do one of those daily diary things where you tear off the next page and get a quote of the day...... sell it at Christmas and call it "Seethings Greetings" with both words also being individually appropriate !!! "...We are one of the best teams in the SPL this season" "We are Ross County football club, we are a wee team from the north..."

deserved the award.
