  2. We are holding on by the skin of our teeth because Alan Savage has (rapidly emptying) deep pockets, as have other potential members of that consortium. If we assume it would be made up of some combination of the 10 people who were around that table and the couple that were not, then all of these people have put money into the club at one point or another, but I don't think any of them are so wealthy that the taps would never run dry. Many of them have led the board successfully, but in my personal opinion, two of them expedited the mess we got into over the last 6 or 7 years either by direct action, or, just as culpable, by inaction. There are also so many well publicised inter-personal choke points in the relationships of these people that a successful structure seems nigh on impossible. IF we could get all of these people to agree and to partake in the rebirth and rebuild of ICT then we could indeed be very positive, but for me, for now, I will take it one step at a time hoping that we get back to a scenario where financial responsibility and sustainability were the watchwords and ethos of the club. As for the structure of the team, I will trust in Kells and the backroom team to put the best team we can afford on the park. It may not be exactly what we want in one way or another, and you will never please everyone, but that's for the football management team to worry about. If its a team full of local boys coming up through the ranks of the academy then that's great, but if it involves some loanees or some veteran journeymen then that too has its benefits. How many points have Alfie Bavidge goals won us since he came in for example? The best teams have a combination of all types and source of players. 8-8-8 may be the aim, but if its 6-10-8 or 7-7-10 or something like that, I am not going to lose sleep over it. The more important thing is that we pull together, re-establish our identity, and don't lose focus. Our best days as a club came when we had that identity, ethos and mindset.

  4. mmm, that would be 'Tariff-ic' ... I should setup an autocorrect on here so that any reference to that particular individual is automatically changed to TangoMan. [off topic]: It is safe to say he is not very popular north of the border right now with threats to annex Canada and make it the 51st state. He is single-handedly responsible for this shift in the polls right now where the liberals were tanking under Trudeau and now surging under the new PM, Mark Carney. He is possibly the only man on the planet who could potentially have got us in more trouble than we are now if he were in charge the last few years.
  5. I think at this point, any Caley Thistle fan will not care where we play (in Inverness) so long as we have a team who are allowed to play and not liquidated out of existence.
  6. The Bught would never happen. Yes, it is green space and has sporting history, but why would or should the football club muscle in on athletics, shinty and rugby? not to mention the green space for walking around the islands and other leisure facilities. Transport links may have improved from the 1990s when it was considered and thrown out, and while they are better, they are still not great... but all the issues of sharing the space are still there. Kingsmills is now housing and Telford Street is retail so neither are an option. I am guessing that UHI is being suggested as most universities do tend to have athletic or sports programmes and these at some point require facilities that the university or donors help to finance. A purpose-built compact stadium at UHI may come at a lower cost than we might think (or not). Is this the end game? to interest a potential buyer in taking over the lease currently occupied by the Caledonian Stadium, negating the need to discuss land deals for the other small parcels being mentioned, and potentially adding that land to the freeport .. then getting any new buyer to fund relocation to a smaller site? This is basically what we hoped ASDA would do all those years ago !!!
  7. In reality, it depends on who agreed and who is pending. If RM is pending then anything and anyone else is pretty much irrelevant. Again, depends on who is in that "number of creditors". With NDAs in place, then hopefully BDO and the potential buyers could agree to "meet" with those creditors if that's all it will take. However, the hypocrisy of "ensuring the club is in good hands" beggars belief. Those same people employed a man who we all blame for the situation we are in, must still take their own part of the blame for allowing that man to operate without any governance or oversight, and then tried to flog the club to Makwana! With all due respect - their definition of good hands is full of shit! IMHO. Presumably because everything is correctly going through the administrators and has not yet got to the stage in any agreement where all the hurdles have been jumped over and it then requires a conversation about the land ... If you cant get past the debt, ownership and shareholding issues then discussion about parcels of land are irrelevant. This smacks of PR spin, and an attempt to polish the turd of how those same people allowed the club to be run for the last 6 or 7 years.
  8. IF the club does go to the wall, then Alan Savage will be able to hold his head up high at his efforts. They are and will be appreciated. The club has been a pissing contest for too many people over the years, including - it has to be said - AS first time around. However, he has absolutely stepped up to the plate since admin raised its head all those months ago and has been trying to drive things forward as far as we can see. Egos and squabbles seem to have been the order of the day over the years with the average fan simply having to watch from the sidelines because we can't afford to be in this particular game. I really hope that something can be done, that some miracle can be worked, that some of this cold reality brings some people around. The idea of ICT not being around after 30 years is unthinkable for all of us. It is a community, a family, a link back to our hometown for many of us, and important to us all. If those who own the shares, and who profess to love ICT can get around a table then FFS, put those dam egos aside and get it done! The money in your wallet may have been real, but the longer this goes on, the more it resembles and is worth as much as, monopoly money.
  9. Club just sent out a notice for Alan Savage hosting a press conference at 3PM today.

  12. Issue is SQL related (ie. database). I have turned off our stats area for now as I believe this is the culprit. It is using an older version of PHP and the queries may not be optimal. Primary concern this morning was getting the site back up before the game.
  13. Seems to be mostly in our colours
  14. we appear to have had a bit of a server brain fart last night. should all be resolved now.

  16. Wow. stopped watching the app as I thought it was HT even happier now.
  17. and Keith Bray just before half-time: 3-1
  18. yeah, my app showed that too A win tonight would lift us to 7th and then we would be chasing QOS for 6th ... but given that Stenny are the form team in the division right now, I'd settle for a draw tonight ... and we just went 2-1 up ! (Charlie Gilmour) worryingly it also shows Billy coming on for Alfie Bavidge after 13 mins. Cant be good.
  19. Hope the app is right this time ... it just said we went 1-0 up ! (Ben Brannan). confirmed on my other app now too (OneFootball)
  20. According to Fotmob app, we are now 8 minutes in so 8:05 kickoff or thereabouts? Although same app also says kickoff at 8:20pm ... and then it changed the elapsed time to -5:00 as i looked ... in other words, no-one knows yet Edit: club just posted update to say 8:20pm KO https://x.com/ICTFC/status/1899554070429585670
