I didnt think Rosscoe was bad either. I thought all the lads did well but I have to single out a few players for special praise in my eyes .... Esson - made a few saves that were excellent and kept us in it. Hayes - considering he had only a short pre-season I am surprised he lasted as well as he did but an explosive start and consistency throughtout the first half show he will be important for us. Gillet - looks like he could be this season's surprise/decent find Ross - thought he did well today. He made a few errors, but thats to be expected in one so young making his SPL debut againstone of the OF. Overall he gets a thumbs up for a decent SPL debut. Cha Du Ri did get past him a couple of times and on one of those occasions I thought he might cost us .... but he redeemed himself with a goal line clearance

It was great to get live audio coverage with a choice of two sources. It was great to find a middle eastern video feed .... overall it was great to feel involved after a season of scraps. On the park I was very impressed with Hayes, thought Gillet was good and so were McCann and Tokely. A friend viewing an ICT game for the first time ever was also impressed with Rooney. Overall, definitely some positives today and not at all doom and gloom.

Is it wrong i want to be a mascot?
maybe an opportunity for ICT here ??? or maybe not ....... At TFC they have a kids team running onto the park with the players. This is done under the guise of "community development" and to promote kids "soccer" in Toronto. They are the ones who run on holding the USA and Canadian flags before the players come out. I guess this is the TFC equivalent of a mascot. However, they also have adults featured before the game. "Fan of the Day" and a supporter normally gets to do the coin toss ..... could ICT do this I wonder or is it too "north american" ?

MFR to do live commentary
We will try to cover all the various options in our matchday thread ....... but as far as I know .... the media arrangements so far are as follows. Audio: BBC Radio Scotland - as normal. All games (except that noted by CB above) national on the radio. Online, some games will be worldwide whilst others will be UK only. Moray Firth Radio - All games local via the radio, UK only via online stream Video Various games live via SKY / ESPN (30 each per season). These are all UK only but various international channels will also show games but people in those locations will have to find out for themselves !!! BBC ALBA offer a match 'as live' on a Saturday night. UK Only. All these matches are denoted on the SPL fixture list at www.scotprem.com with an icon for the relevant broadcaster BT Vision also have a match in full via delayed transmission. STV have acquired the rights to use SPL footage across their daily new bulletins and their Sports Centre programme broadcast ahead of each weekend's fixtures. STV will also be assisting the SPL to produce over 100 matches each season and manage their archive content going back to 1998. Highlights are available on Sky Sports and BBC Scotland on Monday night. Online highlights can be viewed on the BBC Sport website. Subject to getting a copy of the guidelines from the SPL we will also continue to assist the club in getting their own highlights up on the official website as before. these will likely be the same footage as those featured on BBC/SKY/ESPN etc as they will be obliged to give the club a copy but the difference in putting it up on the club site is that it can be viewed globally rather than just within the UK. There may be a delay in starting this service as we are still waiting on details but once all the questions are cleared up hopefully all games will be made available. we will also continue to trial the "live commentary" function we did for the QP game with a view to transferring it to the club somewhere down the line if it proves popular/succesfull

The CTO - SPL Prediction League
you can make some, all or none, now and change them anytime you want right up to about a minute or two before kick-off
-
MFR to do live commentary
guess its a typo in the release ... we had 36 last season so someone forgot to count ...... it is 33 + 5 I am guessing that Radio Scotland will still also do it as the audio rights are "non-exclusive" so can be carried by more than one "broadcast partner"

The CTO - SPL Prediction League
Our Prediction League at http://predictions.caleythistleonline.com has now been updated to season 2010-2011 and the first set of fixtures (AUGUST) added. If you actively participated last season (50 predictions or more) then your account is still there and you will be able to join the new league. If you only did a handdful of predictions last year your account has been wiped and you will need to create a new predictions account for this year's competition. If you didnt take part last year and fancy a go this year - feel free to create a predictions account and try your hand - its pretty simple. [note: If wishing to participate in this prediction league you do need to setup a login for this part of the site separate to your forum login. your forum login will not automatically log you into the prediction area. Of course, you can use the same name/details as your forum login if you want as both accounts are separate] How does it work ? Its simple really ... create an account then login, and predict a scoreline for all the listed SPL games . thats it !!!!!!! If you get it right you get a whack of points and you go to the top of the league. If you get it wrong you dont ! for the first week of the season there are bonus points awarded for correct scorelines in each of the games. 25pts up for grabs in the ICT-Celtic game, 10pts in the rest. For weeks 2 and 3 there are 10 bonus points up for grabs for ICT games. Other games may attract bonus points throughout the season at our discretion. Scoring Correct Home Goals (regardless of result) = 5pts Correct Away Goals (regardless of result) = 5pts Correct Result (eg. Win/Loss/Draw) = 10pts Correct Score = 25pts Weekly Winner (most points in a week) = 10pts Monthly Winner (most points in a calendar month) = 15pts

MFR to broadcast ICT games
Moray Firth Radio to broadcast live SPL football Inverness based radio station MFR has secured the rights to broadcast all Inverness Caledonian Thistle games in the Scottish Premier League for the season 2010/11. The local commercial radio station, which is owned by Bauer Media, already covers sporting events across the largest geographical area in mainland UK including the Highlands, Moray and parts of Aberdeenshire. It is delighted to be adding broadcasts from the area’s only team in the SPL. The radio station’s live commentary venture is in partnership with the largest house builder in the Highlands, Inverness based Tulloch Homes who will sponsor the 2010 SPL season on Moray Firth Radio. MFR reaches out to over half the population in the area. It is another achievement for the station which has already won a clutch of awards in the last 10 months and more recently was named ‘UK local radio station of the year’ for 2010. There will be live coverage of all 36 games, home and away, starting with the curtain raiser at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium on August 14th against Celtic. Danny Gallagher, Managing Director at MFR said: “I am absolutely delighted to have negotiated this deal with the SPL for our listeners. Many have made it known that they would love MFR to follow the first division champions as they move back up to the SPL. I’d like to thank Tulloch Homes, our broadcast partners, who have been instrumental in supporting us.” David Sutherland of Tulloch Homes said: “As a vibrant company focused on playing our part in seeing local communities grow and prosper this is a real positive tie up for us. We are hoping the communities of the North of Scotland will support our only SPL team bringing even greater confidence to the area.” Terry Butcher, Manager of Inverness Caledonian Thistle said “I know many of our supporters are big MFR listeners and I know they will be ecstatic that we are getting so much coverage. We have a great relationship with the radio station and its partner in this venture Tulloch Homes”

MFR to do live commentary
http://caleythistleonline.com/2286-mfr-to-broadcast-ict-games Press release from the club today. Starting this weekend Moray Firth Radio will broadcast all ICT games live. and the bad news for ex-pats ..... it is UK only I am afraid.

highlights of games on website
Trust me folks - overseas access to highlights (as well as access for those in the uk too) is forefront in my mind (for my own selfish reasons !) ....... It used to be the case that club websites could show footage globally behind a members only section but the likes of the BBC could only show within the UK as that is what they purchased the rights for and why it is blocked overseas (and also why the Sc Cup is also blocked). I am waiting on an updated set of media/broadcasting guidelines from the SPL (via the club) and once i have those in my hands we will be able to figure out how (or if) we will be able to deal with audio, video, highlights and anything else of that ilk via the club's official website. Please bear with us ... It may not happen for the first few games, or the footage may be unprocessed (no fancy titles etc) - but normal service like the latter end of last season will hopefully be available as soon as we can sort out the do's/donts

Can you hear the noise ?
It was around 90? last weekend ... and humid ..... even for a Brazilian ! but just for you .... here is Gino in his normal attire geeing up the crowd .... Do a bit of looking on youtube and I am sure you will see how effective a "capo" is for many teams ... certainly works for TFC ! (havent been beaten in the league at home since June 6th 2009 - 17 games)
-
Can you hear the noise ?
Well Gino is Brazilian .... and Russel has been called Russeldinho at times so maybe
