  1. QUOTE: "George Fraser is adamant that the board at Inverness will do everything possible to ensure manager Terry Butcher has the bargaining power to persuade the out of contract players he wants to keep to stay at the club ...... Fraser is confident that funds will be available to help the manager offer new deals to the players he would like to see remain at Caley Thistle next season." Source: Inverness Courier No disrespect intended towards Roy McBain, but he is around the 34 age mark and next season could be his last - or near to it - whereas Vigurs is early 20s. A 2 year deal for Vigurs at a reasonable wage would be a good investment in someone who has proved on more than one occasion that he is quite capable of filling a role in midfield.... do a search back to comments made after games he played, most of them are quite positive. You are right to say he still has things to prove or to learn, but of his 14 or so appearances he has proved one thing ... and that is he is not Rory McAllister who had maybe a total of one or two decent games in his ICT career. Obviously we are not party to what goes on in the background, how players get on, who has an ego, who has a bad attitude in training or things like that, but if the decision to release Pavels or Vigurs was made on a footballing level, then personally I believe it was an error of judgement.
  2. I'm in too ...... and as Don said, the website would also be happy to do its bit and buy up the remaining shares if there is a shortfall on people renewing ....... (assuming its not a massive shortfall)
  3. I am one of the founder members of that club ...... but I still think he has made a mistake.
  4. not offering contracts to Mihadjuks and Vigurs are mistakes in my opinion. The board have indicated money is available to try and help us bounce back up at the first time of asking and perhaps some of this should be used to offer those two in particular a contract. I can reluctantly understand if Pavels' wage is too high for SFL1 but the figure quoted for Vigurs - if correct - is laughable. Pavels should be in the centre of our defence and Tokely on the right regardless of whether Proctor signs a contract or not.... I am not sure I would even have offered Proctor one. As for Vigurs, he has done enough in his limited appearances for people to make a judgement in the real world (and not on a computer game as suggested) and he is the natural internal replacement for Black
  5. I would imagine there is a contract for the service ..... premiumTV are a provider so as long as ICT keep paying the bills, they should be OK. If not, then "InTorNet Design" have much experience in hosting and providing football related websites
  6. take the petty squabbles off the forum please. if you want to slag each other do it by PM
  7. My day was pretty terrible yesterday .... Got a phonecall to say I would have to work today and rebuild a license server at the office, then ICT lose as we all know ..... but my one bright spot was Toronto FC's 3-1 victory over New England .... 3 excellent goals, lovely weather and lashings and lashings of cold beer .....
  8. its because i forgot to open it after the game ....... now open
  9. Scotty replied to DornochCaley's topic in Caley Thistle
thread closed. I got about half way through it and it is little more than a few people throwing personal insults back and forth. IF you want to do that, do it somewhere else.
  10. no need to worry for next season .... no live audio, not featured on open all mics, not on Setanta, and so forth .......
  11. c'mon ..... do we want this or not !!!!!
  12. yup, myself and ronnyc have the same problem. will send you a PM with an alternative source.

Life SUN TEAM LINEUPS AFTER MATCH Match Stats
  14. Dont think Charles would appreciate a pirate link ..... he works for the BBC and will likely be at the game
  15. W101 - I think what ceske is getting at is that if you are outside the UK you can pay Falkirk a fiver to subscribe for a month and watch tomorrow's game ...........
  16. Thats unfortunate to say the least !!! I think that decision is incredibly short-sighted. Only one game (Well -V- Killie) is of no consequence, the other two games have the potential to twist and turn to the final whistle depending on how they go ... and as the Sportsound program is broadcasting anyway how difficult can it be to have Robbo in Inverness and Chick or someone else at the St Mirren game. poor show BBC. Yes, this is not the BBC's fault in any way shape or form. All clubs have the right to block the audio of overseas coverage if they have their own media offering. ICT do not currently have this but Falkirk do so have chosen to block it. I wish more clubs were like Hearts (who block only home games) or Hibs who have their own offering but choose not to block anything at all. . Setanta Canada are broadcasting the Super 14 Rugby from 7:15am until 11am (local time) on Saturday and not showing ICT -V- Falkirk until 5:30AM on Monday, followed by the St Mirren game at 7:15AM. Luckily, I do have another alternative organised for my audio needs and will also be looking for a TV stream from one of the websites we do not allow mention of on here
  17. its a bit "Rangers" .... but on this occasion, with a former Rangers and England captain at the helm, I would not complain too much if "The Great Escape" theme was used when (<insert crossed finger smiley>) we avoid relegation.
  18. Charles - the internet coverage info is not yet up on the BBC website but are you able to confirm my thoughts on this (perhaps through a contact at the beeb ?) ICT -V- Falkirk will be broadcast to UK users only on the http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/sportscotlan...a/inverness.ram internet link as Falkirk have their own media coverage enabled. Although not on normal radio, Open All Mics will be broadcast worldwide on the http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/sportscotlan...openallmics.ram link ?
  19. I left this thread open as it appears to be a regular poster offering an extra ticket he cannot use to fellow fans at or below face value (main stand = 25/20 give or take a few pennies is it not?). However, to all those who might look to sell tickets now or in the future .... please note the policy. If someone has a spare ticket and they want to advertise it, we are happy enough to allow them to do so so long as the offer meets two criteria: 1. It is listed at a fixed price that is equal to or below face value and 2. It is sold to the first person offering that price (i.e. no bidding wars). If we become aware of 'touting' .... which we define as selling above face value, or trying to incite a bidding war over tickets then we will have no hesitation in issuing instant, irrevocable, permanent sitewide bans to any people involved. Touts are scumbags but fans who act as touts are even lower in my book.
  20. -- Alan Smith / David Rocastle in the 6-0 demolition of Portsmouth by Arsenal in 1987/88. -- Kenny Dalglish in various games for Scotland -- Davie Cooper in various games for Scotland (best was the Australia game in World Cup playoffs) -- Laudrup, Gascoigne, Mccoist, Goram in our first cup game V Rangers @ Tannadice -- The whole ICT team (esp Charlie Christie) at Parkhead on that night More recently ... in MLS -- Maurice Edu (Toronto/USA). A stunning debut season. He will continue to improve at Rangers and be remembered long after he moves to the EPL or elsewhere. -- David Beckham (LA/England). Saw him in the all-star game last year and as much as I dont really care for him, his skill can be sublime at times. -- Cuauht?moc Blanco (Chicago/Mexico). A classy midfielder. good game every time we see him.
  21. This is our "cup final" and everything goes out the window in them. Its all about the 90 minutes and stats are meaningless. If our players are up for it from the first whistle we can and will do it, but if there is the slightest hint of heads going down or of complacency we are f***ed ! If you want some stats, how about these ICT ones ! 30/08/08: Falkirk 1-2 ICT (SPL) 28/10/08: Falkirk 1-0 ICT (League Cup Rd 4) 12/11/08: ICT 1-1 Falkirk (SPL) 07:03/09: ICT 0-1 Falkirk (Scottish Cup QF) 21/03/09: Falkirk 4-0 ICT (SPL) We dont fare much better in terms of the other stats either. We have a home record of P18 W4 D5 L9 F18 A26
  22. Its been a topsy turvy season ... In the early part of the season we had difficult times between board and fans / fan organisations, a manager that heavily split fan opinions regarding his future, a team that we knew could do it looking demoralised and all sorts of petty in-fighting and bickering at all levels. After Christmas, we got a great double-present in the shape of Terry and Maurice and things have looked up since then. Relations between board and fans are being repaired, virtually everyone believes TB and MM have worked minor miracles in getting us off the bottom, they have got us into a position where relegation is not a certainty, and we have seen a once demoralised squad return to the team we know they can be ... a team of fighters, of battlers, a team that will stave off relegation. We KNOW they can do it and now it is our turn !!!! Sadly, I cant be there in person, but I will be up at 6AM (local time), donning my ICT gear, pouring several large mugs of coffee into my ICT mug and then drawing my mouse across my ICT mousemat as I load up Radio Scotland, CaleyThistleOnline, and - if I can find one - some dodgy video stream from the UK. I will be screaming at the coverage coming from my monitor just as much as any of you in the ground .... I will feel the pain if things are not going our way, and the elation if it goes how I hope ..... and I urge all of the 7000+ that will be there to give it their all in loudly backing the lads to come away with the victory that will keep us in the SPL (stuff the draw, we want a win - playing for a draw is too dangerous). I know we have had the odd negative thread in recent days and even though I disagree with the content I wont slag off the posters as unfortunately, the topics contained realistic "what if" types of questions. However, lets banish that negativity (on this thread at least), get behind the team, the manager, the board, and give it laldy from right now until the end of the game on Saturday and show the world that our normally reserved and quiet band of loyal followers can and always will be the team's secret weapon. C'MON ICT !!!!
  23. bear in mind that Falkirk are excluded from that round as they will be in Europe so 2 out of Midden, Accies and ICT will be in the 1st round.
  24. Best bet is to buy them over the phone or the internet and if they cant gaurantee they will be there by friday then you could just collect them at the stadium. see here: http://community.caleythistleonline.com/in...showtopic=12879 ... especially where it says "It is recommended that any (home) fan who knows they are coming to the game pre-purchase their ticket(s) either in person, over the phone, or online."
  25. Radio Scotland is a bit similar ..... the pundits (especially chick) try to rip the p*** out of Robbo who always defends the area and jumps back down their throats if they mention "teams travelling the A9" .... Robbo quite correctly makes the point that ICT do it every other week !!!
