  1. I am sure the flight itself will probably not be a problem ... it was just the call centre thats the issue for me. If we hadnt had to change our booking slightly, I would probably be blissfully unaware of the "customer service" attitude. Not going to sweat it, if we have problems in the end, we will deal with them later. It certainly isnt going to be allowed to spoil my trip
  2. Heard good things about the airline itself - Big Stew said it was decent enough when he used them for his trip to/from London on his way here - but the customer service (ie. call centre) are horrendous. Have had to phone them three times to either tweak things or check they have been done and each time it has taken +20 minutes to get through ... not so bad if phoning locally, but thats internationally. Then, when I did get through, the people have been rude and unhelpful on each occasion. first time was to change Christe's flight back to London as she is going back earlier than me so she can spend a few days sightseeing in London with a friend who is studying there. The change fee and such like was expected so no big deal there but the woman was pretty unhelpful. Also, she didnt send me a new confirmation number so I had to go looking on their website a week later and when I eventually found it after searching using my original booking, I found that they hadnt booked her seat number and the confirmation said no luggage ! Phoned again and was assured that all was fine and that they would email me a new adjusted copy of the confirmation. After several weeks, I phoned again last week as nothing had been sent and was told that it did show luggage but no seat number. Doesnt seem there is any record of earlier calls and of course the computer is always right. If the call centre person had coughed, the whole thing would have been straight out of Little Britain "computer says nooooooooo" !!! Again, they said a new confirmation would be sent at least showing Christe's luggage (thus avoiding a 16 quid ding at the airport) but still waiting .............. Not expecting much for the flight - its only a bit over an hour so can deal with the budget aspect of it, but their call centre has made me certain that I will only use them in the future if there are no alternatives that fit into my timescales. If they went bust tomorrow, I would have sympathy for their customers, but certainly not their call centre staff.
  3. If I had a viable alternative to using Flybe for my forthcoming trip, I would have done. They are possibly the worst ever company I have had to deal with in terms of customer service in my entire life .... and thats before I have flown with them. Unfortunately, EasyJet flight times dont work for me in regards to catching my flight back to Toronto or I would quite happily have switched to them.

unfortunately, most are done in-house (by club or club/fan partnerships), are by their own admission somewhat biased (understandable), and worse still (for opposition supporters) require a season long commitment. I have held out hope that ICT would start something like this but I fear cost is an issue ... especially with their current provider. At the end of the day, the worst part is that it is not rocket science to get this done, a decent sponsor to pay for the bandwidth, the correct permissions in place and a little bit of development work and a half decent solution could be put in place relatively quickly.
  5. How do you know it was tea :thumb04: Hip flasks .... a wonderful invention. Doesnt go well with Bovril though
  6. I emailed the club the other day asking for ticket details for this match and for Morton. no response as yet. will post it as I receive it.

As a (former) season ticket holder who was present through our rise fromDiv3 to Div1 but had relinquished those tickets and moved over here by the time we reached the SPL I can only comment on the atmosphere I see now on home visits and I must say in all honesty that each time I visit, it is more and more like a morgue. The entertainment seems to have been sucked out and replaced by fear/apathy. During my season ticket holding days the craic in the main stand above the tunnel was great. We sang the odd song, we werent all quiet, and we also had banter going with the opposition bench (Yogi was a particular favourite - top bloke). It made for an enjoyable day out and a good few beers after the game. On my last couple of trips home I have watched us play Celtic and Kilmarnock. For the Celtic game we had tickets in the north stand - the atmosphere was flat, totally flat until we scored and then flat again when Celtic scored (apart from the away supporters in the home end). For the Kilmarnock game, I was more or less back in my old seat thanks to the offer of a ticket and it was really weird. You could literally hear a pin drop, people seemed scared to chant or make any effort at having some craic for fear of being huckled out by stewards and handed a banning order. Think you can see just how enjoyable it was in this pic ! and perhaps not surprisingly, not too many people mingled for a beer after the game - they were drained and just wanted to go home despite a 3-0 winning scoreline. I dont necessarily blame the club or the stewards for all of this but they are both certainly major factors. They are following rules laid down by football or other authorities but perhaps they need to take a look at how these are enforced both in terms of consistency and also in terms of the reported heavy handedness we hear about from time to time [note: I am not including incidents where fans have been found/suggested to be at fault as that happens too!!!]. The entertainment and tolerance needs to be brought back - otherwise the poor 3501 crowd we saw last week will seem good sometime soon.

Yes indeed more are blocked ... here is a list of audio that is either available/blocked. They are blocked because the team has established their own matchday offering. Some teams like Hibs and Hearts are decent enough to either not block anything at all despite offering their own service (Hibs) or to only block games at their home ground (Hearts). The others block everything. Well and St Mirren switched website providers at the end of last season and are rumoured to be working on adding their own services so they will end up blocked too. Aberdeen - BLOCKED Celtic - BLOCKED. Dundee Utd - AVAILABLE Falkirk - BLOCKED Hamilton - AVAILABLE Hearts - BLOCKED if at Tynecastle, AVAILABLE if away from home Hibernian - AVAILABLE (even though Hibs also broadcast) Kilmarnock - BLOCKED Motherwell - AVAILABLE (for now - rumoured to be blocked by end of season) Rangers - BLOCKED St Mirren - AVAILABLE (for now - rumoured to be blocked by end of season) As for video, forget about it on the BBC or elsewhere it is totally blocked outside the UK. You may get video when we play Rangers or Celtic by going to a Rangers or Celtic club but thats it. Until the club offer their own audio/video service like other clubs we are pretty much screwed. PS - Welcome aboard.
  10. I have been asked by Darren to post a reminder that the club will again be offering season ticket holders an exclusive offer of ?50 all in for hospitality for the Kilmarnock game on Saturday 27th September. To make a booking call 01463 227455 and ask for Darren or Tabitha or e-mail [email protected]
  11. Forget about bodies through the door or break even numbers or any of the rest of that guff, the simple math is that the prices for 'A' games have been bumped by way more than 5% needed to cover the Celtic and Rangers levy. Adult Main Stand: ?27 -> ?29 +7.41% Adult North Stand: ?22 -> ?24 +9.09% Adult Family Enclosure: ?17 -> ?19 +11.76% Concession Main Stand: ?22 -> ?24 +9.09% Concession North Stand: ?17 -> ?19 +11.76% Concession Family Enclosure: ?15 -> ?17 +13.33% Child Main Stand: ?22 -> ?24 +9.09% Child North Stand: ?17 -> ?19 +11.76% Child Family Enclosure: ?9 -> ?11 +22.22%

Many Happy Returns .... hope the next 12 months are filled with more joyous events than the last 12.

You are either consistent throughout the ground or you are not. You cannot have it both ways and you cannot expect people to accept different rules for different parts of the ground (unless of course it is stated somewhere). My answer would be a proper "supporters section" somewhere where rules are more relaxed. The west stand was potentially a good idea but because of various things it didnt work out.
  14. ok. sorted again. more apologies !!!

I think the point is that the away stand seems to be allowed to flaunt these rules every week ! its all about CONSISTENCY.
  16. apologies. Sorted
  17. We will win the next home game !!! Last season, when I turned up in April, ICT hadn't won at home since beating Gretna just after the new year and performances had been atrocious. I managed to get to one game all season ... against Kilmarnock and saw ICT clinically finish them off with Marius getting a great goal and Dougie Imrie scoring his first for the club in a 3-0 romp. Ironically enough, the next home game is against .... Kilmarnock !!! I will be there again so here's hoping I bring the same sort of luck as I did that day. ICT to win 3-0 with Wood, Barrowman and Rooney on the scoresheet through the game Anyhoo ... off to Toronto FC V Columbus now to see if I can bring them any luck as they too have been atrocious for a couple of months ... both home and away !!!
  18. Mike Smith at ICT has sent out the following email. Tickets for the Celtic game are now on sale. In line with club policy priority purchase is given to Season Ticket holders, Shareholders, Supporters Trust, Supporters Club & Centenary Club members. Any unsold tickets will go on general sale to the public at 10am on Wednesday 1st October. South Stand (Away) tickets will be sold via Celtic FC. In line with the majority of other SPL clubs the Club has reluctantly accepted a ticket levy charge imposed by Celtic. Prices for this game are: Main Stand (covered) ? Adult ?29/Concession ?24 North/West/Main Stand (uncovered) & South Stands ? Adult ?24/Concession ?19 Family Section ? Adult ?19/Senior Citizens/Student ?17/Child ?11
  19. according to commentators its a poor crowd and "you could hear a pin drop" .......
  20. Me too. They did well in the last game so that sends a message that performances count over reputations. Latest Scores Aberdeen 1-0 Hamilton Falkirk 1-0 Hearts Rangers 0-1 Kilmarnock
  21. Youtube has tightened up on breach of copyright so a lot of things are taken down quickly, but should they appear on youtube, I would appreciate it too. better still, should the club decide to offer an audio/video package like many other SPL sides, that would be excellent !
  22. starting lineup Duff / McGuire with Munro on the bench. Think that is fair enough.

I blame Grassa :thumb04: .... ever since he indicated a willingness to talk we have been overcome with positivity and visits from club officials long may it continue !
  25. http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/fu...y_for_Brew.html IT will be a choice of two from three when it comes to the selection of Caley Thistle's central defensive partnership to face St Mirren's familiar strike force tomorrow. Inverness manager Craig Brewster will have to choose between the current pairing of Jamie Duff and Phil McGuire if club captain Grant Munro returns to the first team for the visit of former team-mates Craig Dargo and Dennis Wyness. .......... The McGuire/Munro combination might not be favoured by supporters however, as a fans website poll made that particular pairing third place as The Inverness Courier went to press. Eighty per cent of voters preferred to see Duff keep his place alongside Munro, despite McGuire and Duff being first choice against Falkirk last time out.
