  1. you are doing better than me if you can get those !!! I get the not available in your territory message
  2. I would agree From my point of view (ie. outside the UK), last year you could listen to a smattering of ICT games but when you came up against one that was blocked you had no option but to either listen to nothing at all or to listen to one of the other games (if there was one that was not blocked). Towards the end of last season, the open all mics service was extended from just the Scottish Cup to the SPL (and other featured games from the SFL) as a test. For some reason - presumably a question over media rights - it was also blocked outside the UK. This year, we have the normal smattering of ICT games, but no matter what week it is, if the ICT game is blocked, you can listen to open all mics and hear the goals from all grounds as they happen without any blocking .... some weeks this is actually way more interesting than the live commentaries and I know before I turn on my computer that I will at least have audio of some description. Incidentally - although we will try to post this at the start of the matchday thread each week, the URLs for audio remain pretty constant. Open all mics always seems to be - http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/sportscotland/sportsound/media/sportsound.ram and live coverage from grounds always seems to be http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/sportscotland/sportsound/media/<team-name>.ram
  3. I tend to agree.
  4. you could be right - in fairness to me, I wasnt actually slagging either of them off though. I think both will come good.
  5. dont remember that .... was that after 84 ? BNP could be right - lets just say that in our time it was at the low end perhaps around 1200 and at the high end as high as 1500 .... certainly nowhere near as low as it is now. still remember having to try and get from "Teuchie's" (sp?) history class in Hut 78 (the absolute furthest away one) to McPhee's art class in the main building in about 30 seconds ... if you didnt get there in time, it was the belt for you and as "Teuchie" had a habit of rambling on or going mental at the end of periods, it was a frequent occurence for some random person in our class
  6. From 1978 to 1984 (when I left) the school roll always seemed to be quoted in the region of 1500. They were still using all of the "huts" at that time ... to hear it is now nearer 500 is quite a surprise
  7. On Friday 28th November the Club, in conjunction with Inverness Boxing Club, will be organising a "Boxing Night" at the Drumossie Hotel in association with the Supporters Trust.

  17. Even though we changed a lot of personnel recently, I don't think we are that far away from having a very solid team - with the addition of someone to stop the leak of goals at the back and someone to bang em in at the front we would be pretty much sorted !!! Recent articles in the paper have said there is no real progress in Proctor's recovery so we dont have cover at RB if Rosscoe is injured or suspended (a situation that will arise soon given he now has 5 yellows) or playing crap. [Toronto FC's Marvell Wynne (USA international, young, solid defender with blazing pace, but not yet the finished article) would be a good capture but I imagine he is destined for England at the end of the MLS season (thats the rumour anyway) and we probably couldnt afford him]. I think we all acknowledge the need for another centre half - we do have Duff, McGuire, Munro and Hastings can also play there but each week we hear grumbles about errors in defence from one player or another that has cost us goals and possibly games. Not sure who the answer would be, or even if the answer is staring us in the face with some partnership of our existing players that is yet to 'click' but competition for places would at least keep everyone on their toes. Midfield I think we are OK - even with Patti going we still have Black, Duncan, Vigurs, Imrie, Cowie, McBain, Wilson and Sutherland (as well as Gillespie and Rennie). Up front worries me a little - We have Rooney and Barrowman who appear to be the first two names in the frame and neither of them is banging them in quite yet although they may do soon. Wood has potential and so does Rory if he can somehow put his reserve team confidence into first team games. Imrie can also play here too but depending on who is available in the window, perhaps we need to bring in a proven (veteran?) goalscorer until these young talents can show they can do it week in and week out.
  18. a fire in the stage area of the assembly hall according to Courier and HN websites.

  20. I unstickied it by mistake when removing some of the announcements and unstickying other posts (to reduce the amount of them that some people complain about). it has now been rectified I imagine the reason to be the same as it always was .... Supporters Busses are subsidised by the supporters club and much of that subsidy comes from membership fees and fund raising events. I believe they used to allow non members to travel on the busses a few years ago, but you paid an extra fiver or so for the first trip ... which coincidentally was the same amount as your membership .... ergo, you became a member.
  21. still wont make me drink it !!! LOL - agree with the comments about distribution though, although its a bit better now with the LCBO stores sometimes being attached to the very end of the newer malls. Hoegarden - yes, what stuff, sometimes have a few glasses of that here too
  22. The club are offering season ticket holders a hospitality package for the home game V Motherwell on 25th October - see below IC_Motherwell__50.pdf
  23. The club have asked us to point out that the club shop will be open this weekend from 10am ? 3pm, Saturday & Sunday for those people wishing to purchase Celtic tickets that don't get a chance to do so during the week
  24. Although I tend to agree with the statement above, how many banks or businesses said something similar in the last few months ....... prior to their employees packing everything into cardboard boxes.
