  1. How long do our Eastern European cousins have to be here before they get a vote? I'm sure they'd be sympathetic to the cause.
  2. Hash browns? sorry
  3. I'd be careful about slinging mud, the mod's 'll get you :016: It's Alex Salmonds job now to convince the voting public that we should be completely self governing. :021: Why don't you join up and change things for the better then? :023:
  4. You guys crack me up. I for one will vote for independance. The only drawback will be a long drawn out political battle about oil revenues. :tank:
  5. PC TWIT! Cast your mind back a few decades, there were more mind altering substances on the go and those taking them weren't aware of the risks. Today we are all aware. Whatever happened to the freedom our grandparents fought for. People in the FSU states have far more freedom than we've had for decades.
  6. Bloody sacrilege, we'll have no staggies mentioned on here please.
  7. How about getting MFR down to organise some half-time entertainment? Maybe chipping the ball into a car or something? :tic01: A pie and a bovril normally does the trick for me though. :blah01:
  8. Can we not 'rent' Grant St Park
  9. quote author=Big_Vinnie The facts of the matter are drinks are not illegal. Actually you are wrong, take a walk around the residential areas of any town/city/village in this country and you will be confronted by hordes of underage drinkers. Their bodies are still developing and the drug (yes alcohol is a drug) makes them behave in a very anti-social manner.Vandalism, violence, underage sex, etc. Where do most of these violent offenders come from? Druggies looking for their next hit? Most organised crimes are drug related. Can you provide some evidence here please. My experience is that those on drugs are too spaced out to care about committing crimes. Drunks however can regularly be seen assisting their fellow humans through shop windows, etc. The thousands of people out there who have a joint or other things now & again feed these drug lords just as much as the addicts do. True, but if there was a complete de-criminalisation of drugs such as they have in Amsterdam, the police could properly 'police' the issue and they could smoke in coffee shops, D'oh :029: Should not be tolorated full stop. I'm 31 & very proud of the fact that I've never taken any illegal drugs. Can your parents say the same? The culture around your conception was very much 'hip'. Rant over, time to crack open the cap'n morgans.
  10. Feel the love people. The club have had lots of people thinking outside the box lately (allegedly).
  11. I can't take any credit for the idea, stole it from Gretna. :hiding03:
  12. Try telling that to Jamie Langfield. :017:
  13. The point is that the events are ''alleged'' and as there has been no comment from the police or the club (hereinafter referred to as facts) any discussion here does open the website up to libel or slander lawsuits. (Allegedly). What the ****, eh? Don't let facts get in the way of a good story. btw Just how do you play like an Aussie? The mind boggles.
  14. Off topic, I know. But I find it very interesting to note Iain Botham (already an OBE) is to become Sir Iain Botham. I personally don't have an issue with that but I expect our cousin down under may have on opinion?
  15. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? If you or your son were to 'allegedly' be caught taking a controlled substance on your/his holidays how would you want the employers to handle it? In this country employers are morally obliged to help if their employees have a dependency. Also is it reasonable to punish someone twice for the same irresponsible act? I look forward to my holidays and if my employers were to tell me how to behave when I am not at work I don't think they'd like the reply. Why should the players not be indulged the same freedoms? If there is any truth to the story, I expect the PF will deal with it as he sees fit. If not then the players reputation has already been damaged and threads like this don't help, frankly they just add to the pressure on the individual, the club and the authorities.
  16. [tt]50% discount for tinks season ticket holders with a reciprocal arrangement for those who don't want a long trip south. I've checked the fixtures. They could get 10 of our 33 fixtures (plus the sunday games) and we could take in some 12 of theirs until the split. Add to that cup games and there could be a fair bit of cash flowing both ways, god knows they need it. Before the hardcore get torn into me their money is just as good as yours when it comes to paying wages. Business is business.[/tt]
  17. Are you Pearse Flynn in disguise? :tic01:
  18. Cheerleaders :crazy07:
  19. Nah, not that one. ''Billy Elliot''
  20. It seems to me there's a lot of dobbers on here who think we've ''lost out'' by not getting Buchanan, maybe we have maybe we haven't. If the lad hasn't proved himself strong enough or fit enough for our highly respected management team and they had offered him a contract, would the club not then be guilty of panic buying? At the start of the transfer window as well! Shocking, put your trust in CC et al.
  21. I refuse to believe we don't have anyone scouting for us.
  22. Thanks, that helps. :shooting05:
  23. If the question was who would be missed most the obvious answer is Fraser, most influential would be Wilson, but most important? Give me a break the lads are a team and are all important.
  24. Agreed, Jimmy had some tremendous games including Feb 8th 2000. I'd have to sy it's between him and Tokely.
