  1. What are the rules about loans outwith the transfer windows?
  2. If you waited another day you could find it in the skip out the back.
  3. They'll not be standing tomorrow.
  4. You'd be the richest man in the graveyard. ETA: Or lady...
  5. An easy way around the issue is to have the students local council pay the fees thereby making other countries liable for funding any students wishing to attend our higher educational establishments. Set a minimum term of residency before entitlement to funding (2-3 years?). Problem solved or at least drastically improved.
  6. In supporters trusts as with unions there will be those individuals whose motives are not purely selfless, be it the influence they can exert to achieve particular outcomes or purely to share their own opinions. Unions are a necessary evil as without them the gap between rich and poor would be far wider and there never would have been the collective funds to underwrite a political party. It is this which I personally grudge with union membership, a political levy now would just fund more of the same policies which has gotten this country to where it is now. Not good. Please note this is not a slight on the ICT Supporters Trust but a general comment.
  7. It all comes down to money Alex, they've got the facilities and funds to develop scores of players and we don't. End of..
  8. Trust officials and members are not drawing a wage. Still a good comparison though. :)
  9. However you look at it, withdrawing your labour is against your employment contract and therefore grounds for dismissal whether you're in the union or not. It is highly unlikely that an employer would target individual non-union employees in such circumstances although they would be within their rights to do so.
  10. I take it your pension is safe? My own was increased a couple of years back from 4.5% to 6% to maintain the same final salary pension and my employers are going through a consultation process to increase that to 8% of my salary from January. We don't have the union at my work but many of our colleagues are members and I'd probably strike if directed to. Our working terms and conditions have deteriorated over the last few years and there has to come a point where the employer is shocked into listening.

  12. That's my O2 500Mb data usage gone. I need a bigger memory for offline music, a bigger data allowance or both.
  13. Allegedly would be here but for a financial reason between Jerez and Inverness? I find that strange when most of their team were on loan from Glen Hoddle's Academy.
  14. Better performances in the league and a run to the final of the Scottish cup. Reducing overheads is a way we can also go. Does the club have a list of volunteers and area of expertise? I'd be willing to help out supervising IHE's prisoners, community servicers and patients when I have free time. That would be highly entertaining. Seriously though I could offer my time on occasion.
  15. Hello - listen to me for once :irritated: Lots of feckin good comments on the latter part of this thread - this is not all about having loyalty to and faith in ICT - of course voluntary work could save some money - where does all of that stop - get community service involved or get inmates from Porterfield to do some time on the decorating and hand out menial tasks to the community patients of New Craig. Charles has got it spot feckin bang on: 1) Increase income / Reduce expenditure. 2) Accept a long term existence outwith the SPL. Scary but as simple as that Hoping that one off windfalls will continue to come along indefinitely to keep the wolf from the door isn't a realistic strategy and there aren't really any assets left to sell off. Are you not feckin listening to me Lets just hope that the Texans storm the new age Longman Alamo and get control back from Davy Crockett Sutherland. Your tongue in cheek smileys are misplaced.
  16. The guy probably saved the club and totally secured our SPL status - BUT he had his own agenda and fair dos to him - BUT for the good of this club he should bow out - as perhaps he should have done in 2006. I have all the time for devotees but little for narcissists trying to save face. We can agree on that then. He is trying to bow out anyway and best of luck to him.
  17. Why move from the Longman? Cheaper rent? Evidence please.
  18. That sounds a bit ungrateful Johndo.
  19. Must be setting up a shop at Seafield Park?
  20. The fans.
  21. Before quoting Godwin's Law I'd like to point out you're free to come and go here.
