was it not Vincent that got motm at ground?

Ryan Christie
I think Ryan's comments highlight the problems a young club like ours have. A lot of kids grow up following their parents team and that in most cases Ithat seems to be an old firm one unfortunately. How we change this I don't know. In my case my boys grew up support ing my team ICT. Ryan is entitled to support whoever he wishes tho and I wish him all the best.

Tobi Sho-Silva joins on loan
Let's give him a chance eh?

Ryan Christie
There's not really any better alternative to what we're doing though unless Ryan was to sign a new contract with us. If we kept Ryan until January because no club met his asking price in this window, he would sign a PCA as you say and leave for nothing next summer. The other option would be to hope that a club was willing to pay £1 million, or whatever you deem to be his true worth, in this window - which might not happen. That's a pretty big risk to take; cash up front and a loan back until the end of the season is the best option for us. However, it could be argued that the board should have got him tied up on a long-term deal much sooner which I certainly agree with. Ryan is contracted to us till 2017 due to having a year's option on his existing contract so would not have left for nothing next summer

Willie Collum
I see on Twitter the Hearts fans up in arms re Willie Collum. Apparently they think he picks on them due to the number of sending offs when he is referee. This got me thinking how many of our players he has sent off. Is it up there with the 9 Hearts quoting? Anyone know?

Dundee -V- Inverness CT
sorry I'm with the ref here. I was there and everyone gasped at that challenge. Red all day long for me and those around me. Playwise we were much improved yesterday and the players worked so hard to get what would have been a deserved win. Just switched off unfortunately at the death. Certainly not cut adrift. We do, however, need a goal scorer and fast!

It's not all doom and gloom
Have to agree with that one. Probably a sentimental decision from Butcher to give his buddy one last big deal after all their years working together. Richie delivered for Butcher, and Butcher delivered for Richie. Seems fair enough, although maybe not such good business from the club's perspective! To be fair, he certainly didn't look 'past it' before his injury, so he might still come back into the team and make a significant contribution. Since this thread is about looking on the bright side - we've had a terrible start but we aren't isolated at the bottom. In fact, one win would have us knocking on the door of the top 6. We've also now seen enough of the SPL to discern that most of the other teams aren't any better than us. actually Bucher had left the building when Foran got his contract. In fact I think it was also signed before Yogi arrived!

Supporters Buses
There's a bit of chat on the Dundee thread about bus issues so to stop hijacking of it I've started this one. Firstly CJT regret having to raise the bus price. However out of 14 trips last season only 7 broke even. Our costs have risen again this season so unfortunately so has the fare. We cannot afford to subsidise buses at this level so they only choice we have is to increase the cost to travel. Even at £20 a head we have a fairly high seats sold bar to hit break even. If we stayed at £15 or even £17.50 very few buses would run anywhere near a break even level. As has been stated the bus takes you direct to the ground which should be figured into comparing our price with public transport. On looking today we found the public bus at £28 and the train at £36 return. We have also tried to help families with the introduction of an u14 fare. After you are 14 you can travel unaccompanied subject to conditions. We we are going to be conducting market research in the near future. We hope that will include a survey for members on this site. We will also be consulting bus users and also Caleyaway folks that travel to awaydays by alternate means. Please can as many people take part in this consultation as are able. We also welcome suggestions of improvements to our travel club. Please get in touch if you have any ideas. Thanks

New Away Strip
JD don't know!! Just saying hopefully by the end of month

Are you being serious. Uncle Roy has bankrolled County again so that is how they have the money and if you think offering Shinnie and Watkins more money would have kept them here, you are deluding yourself. Simple fact is unless attendances pick up, club will run at a loss and any windfalls have to be used to keep club on an even keel. It's either that or someone takes over the club and pumps money in. It is quite frightening that some fans do not grasp the basic economics of the clubs finances. best post on here this season so far! Spot on imho.

Do you not think that missing players of the calibre of Meekings and Warren is something to do with us leaking goals? Not Fon Williams fault imho

New Away Strip
apparently not. I did think we'd get the same deal as the Scotland supporters club? No word of the strip either according to the nice assistant. Plots of stuff in stock tho. Tshirts Tops and 2 kinds of jackets. Call me a pessimist, but I can see us making less money out of shirt sales this season than we did in the last couple of seasons under the presumably less profitable Errea deal. Supporters buy into pre and early season optimism - quite literally when it comes to buying merchandise - but after our bad start, I fear that people will be less willing to part with their cash for these kits than they would have been if they were in stock a month ago. The net result being a reduced income stream for the club through sheer incompetence on the part of either the club, Carbrini, or both. as the club are not selling them I assume it doesn't matter how many they sell. I think the club will get their money regardless.

Injury Updates
Photo is still on the agenda. I would imagine they are waiting for the strips to be released.

Yogi says no more money no more players!
The worry for me is that if we can't add to our crowds after our great season then I doubt we will ever be able to!

Ofere Was offered a deal which he rejected. Rumour has it his demands were way out of our league. So unfortunately isn't going to happen. Must be more like him out there tho? Yes I know he was offered a deal and I know that he rejected it. I predicted on this forum long before the cup final that his agent would come in with big wage demands. But presumably, when he came to us, he was affordable. We were his best option back then. He maybe just got ideas above his station on the back of his successful short period with us. He is in a similar position again. At the moment he's not earning at all presumably. No better reality check IMHO. not so sure tbh....He was without a club for months before coming to us so maybe he's not too bothered. I know what you're saying tho....he's defo missed as he knows where the back of the net is! However can't see him wanting to return now unfortunately Referees are very rarely going to send someone off so early in the game. The timing should be irrelevant, but I think some refs know they'll be criticised if they kill the game as a contest so early so will lessen the punishment. It looked a very bad tackle from the Main Stand. The Warren tackle just looked like he hung his leg out and tripped McDonald which is very different from what Pearson looked to have done. Hope this rumour about a broken leg is just that. He tried to walk on it but had to give up after a couple of steps. Could he do that on a broken leg? if it's his ankle yes. I've known folk hobble round for days then find out it's broken. recovery will depend on type of fracture then if true. Bad news tho...
