  1. Rossco has got it spot on, It's pure laziness that Walter Smith doesn't come see us play and Mark Brown is more than capable of filling for the poor Graeme Smith What is likely to happen though is now that Rangers are playing a Scottish keeper he will get a call-up and Broonie will be over-looked again
  2. Dods is likely to leave in the Christmas transfer window but Black has showed his intent to stay for another couple of seasons at least, which is no bad thing. If he is looking for a "big" move down south then he is going to have to perform well enough to attract interest and becuase he has signed a contract we're likely to get a decent fee for him. Dod's situation is completely different, if he does go at xmas then I hope CC has someone lined up to replace him because I don't think Caff is up to the challenge.... what about Tokley in the centre????
  3. I was getting extremely pi55ed with that idiot sitting infront of us... he was 50 odd and all he did was slate the team, and half the time it wasn't merited... so in that regard you are not the worst and then you have Kev & Gord :008: :008:
  4. It's all very good saying that RIG but you're one of the first to critisize players when they are having a bad game... and you'll find the same situation if not worse in every stadium in Scotland. Hibs, Celtic & United the crowd has been a lot better than the majority of matches last season and with the drum back in the middle of the North Stand it should hopefully get better. Our record at home is starting to improve and although we have not won a game at home yet we have only lost 1 which is an improvement on last season. Hopefully we can pick up that win against Falkirk on wednesday and carry on from there with our next home game against Dunfermline
  5. Dargo & Wilson were very poor yesterdayand were probably the difference between a poor draw and our first home win. If Rankin is going to take all our set pieces in future he is going to half to show why in the next few games because his crossing was awful Our back 5 were their usual brilliant self but McBain probably would get MOTM for me worked hard and even managed to get a couple of crosses in2 the box :010: :010: We started off stronger and if we had taken our chances in the first half I believe we would have finished off comfortably. I thought Bayne was excellent in the first half tbh and considering he was against one of the biggest centre halfs in the SPL Kenneth hardly made a header all game. Towards the end of the first half we threw everything but the kitchen sink at the United goal and were extremely unlucky not to get a goal, why Rossco didn't shoot rather than passing to an obviously offside Dargo was beyond me but he made up for it by giving Brewster a dig in the ribs :003: :003: :003: :003: what a legend!! Second half we looked tired and started to loose our shape, Black and Rankin were both either attacking or defending but never sitting to pick up the play the centre of the park IMO we needed Duncan to do the simple stuff. We ended up pumping the ball up to Bayne due to the sucess we had in the first half but by this time he seemed shattered and was giving away needless fouls. Dundee United seemed to get egged on the more we got stuck in to Brewster, Robson & Proctor and played some good football. At the end of the day we had 1 major chance and they had 1 major chance the rest of the oppertunities were half chances and somes up what was an even game. At least we got another point on the board :shrug01:
  6. From what I posted on P&B
  7. BBC Clicky Seems CC is handing out the contracts at TCS Black, Wilson, McBain.... anyone else??
  8. some game... to be fair to celtic their doing a **** of a lot better than I thought they would!! Does this mean since we drew 1-1 with Celtic we're on par with Man United?? :016:
  9. If it means that we are going to be higher seeded for the next world cup qualification... then job's a good'n!! Even though I don't pay too much attention to world rankings it still shows that progress has been made by Walter Smith and his team.
  10. :010: :010: :010:
  11. Bazza Clicky If he carrys on playing like he has done for the last 2 season... i'll be delighted for him to sign a new contract :003: :003: :003: :003:
  12. :015: :clapping04: :clapping04: :015:
  13. How can a manager become experienced without being given an oppertunity to prove himself? Brewster & Robertson were both new appointments to a managerial role and they both took the club to new levels. I see no reason why CC can't do the same and I see no reason why anyone should be doubting him!! Personally I think you've got carried away suggesting we have a team capable of competing in Europe (at least not yet) we should be aiming to keep the team in the division and push for that elusive top six position, and that's not me being short sited. We have taken points from 3 teams that were above us last season which in a way is progress but obviously slipping up against St Mirren wasn't planned but there is no reason should be doubting the team/manager yet. We have no idea how we are doing until we have played all of the 11 teams in the league and until then your arguements are ridiculous especially since you are an ICT supporter :010:
  14. wow... I go away for a couple of hours and come back to this :015: I was booted out at half time during the hearts match so didn't see much of McBain and missed Motherwell but from the matches I've seen previously this season, I don't think McBain offers much going forward. He gives his all in a game but Hastings is more likely to get a cross in2 the box than McBain and if we are going to start winning our home matches we need to start bringing the game to our opponents rather than sitting back and trying to catch teams on the counter. If McBain did play I'd prefer to see him in the middle of the park don't really think he has done anything to deserve being dropped and doubt he will but for me Morgan is the more attacking option. RIG have you read any of the other threads that have been posted on over the last few days? It seems Bonzo, Sandy and a few others think we should get rid of CC and get Levein in...personally I'm sick of disagreeing
  15. clicky for everyone to be suggesting we should get Levein in then I assume they want CC out I can understand what your saying Scotty and can't really argue it. This is the first time I've actually agreed that there is a valid reason for a seperate official site, I mean I can understand the odd "he's rubbish" but for certain posters to start a campaign to get another manager at this stage of the season seems extreme. Imagine any of the players or even CC himself were to check out the site, which I'm sure they do... to see their own fans loosing faith already, just getting sick of it
  16. So it was obviously a good idea then I don't think I've ever been so ashamed to be an ICT supporter with the criticism Charlie Christie has received on this forum over the last couple of weeks tbh it's not suprising that the club decided to seperate themselves from the site. Obviously the point of a forum is that everyone has an opinion and they can share it on the board but I can't believe that fans are asking for the managers to be replaced after 6 games into a season, especially when we've not even done that badly.. :029: :029: :029: :029: :029:
  17. -------------------Broonie------------------ Tokely-----Dods------Munro----Hastings Wilson----Black-------Rankin---Morgan ---------------Dargo---Bayne-------------- Have to agree with davieB "this is the match I want to win most in our whole season" I'd love us to get 3 points but expect a very difficult game and Rossco is gonna have his hands full with Robson but maybe if we win this one all the haters will get of Christie's back :006:
  18. Only heard the first half of radio commentary & my m8 at the game said Broonie made a couple of good saves so was basing my opinion on the stats I heard. Still a lot better than Smith IMO
  19. Hibs, Aberdeen, Celtic, Hearts, Motherwell & St Mirren.... on paper we should have won against Motherwell and St Mirren anything from the rest would have been a bonus So 6 points sounds about right to me
  20. delighted Dargo and Rory got on the scoresheet great result :003: :003: :003: :003:
  21. It's about time people on ths site realised there is no such thing as a D-day for ICT, the job was done today and we obviously proved we're gonna be no wooping boys but all this talk of we must win is crazy. We are 6 games into a new season and our own fans are doubting our crudentials as an SPL side :006: have some faith in our team
  22. By all accounts it sounds that Graeme Smith had another howler today and once again it sounds like Brown was exceptional!! It seems every week Graeme Smith fecks up for Motherwell :006: Since Broonie seems to be in direct competition with Smith for a place in the Scotland squad how long is it going to be before Walter Smith realises that Mark Brown deserves a Scotland call up??
  23. get christie out... get christie out!! :015: :015: go on Rossco :003:
