  1. Such an important win... delighted Morais' first is a cracker, great play by Proctor and Imrie
  2. It was a horrific incident, not even an apology from the rangers player involved at the time. There was a point where he grabbed onto the referees leg, that's when you could see how much pain the guy was in. No applause from the rangers fans as he left the pitch just laughter.... as I said on the match thread, I had to leave the stadium because I was seething with anger and probably would have got myself in some bother if I'd stayed Hope the lad is back in the sticks asap because after an incident like that you have to worry if he still going to show the same bravery next time round
  3. too true... this thread is far too premature 4 points off bottom, we still have plenty to prove before we can talk about potential signings for next season. Keeping what we have is the only priority the club should have at the moment, signing Pavels & Foran would be a massive plus
  4. Can't argue it was a red card but there wasn't mallace in it. Carsley clearly only had eyes for the ball, and it was there to be won, but because it was in the air he had to time it perfectly, unfortunately for Iwelumo he didn't. Definite red card but more of an accident than a dirty challenge. Good thing for Scotland is how well O'Connor played when he came on... he was excellent, as was McFadden I fancy Birmingham to go on to win the league now
  5. not long back from the game. McCormick is a player, don't think I have ever seen him play on the left wing before (for Cardiff, Motherwell or Rangers) but he was awsome, always made good use of the ball and terrific home debut! Hutton, likewise was excellent although is a far better winger than he is a defender. Gordon showed exactly why Sunderland payed ?9mil... McGregor who? Good performances from Morrison, Brown and S.Fletcher Naysmith & Miller were terrible and when we should have gone on to win the game comfortably they did nothing but lose possesion and put the whole team under pressure. I've never been a massive fan of Gudjohnson but he was excellent for them, created everything and always looked dangerous, MOTM for any unbyst watcher but since I am McCormick gets it. Delighted with the win but we made it difficult for ourselves Still not entirely convinced with Burley but he deserves credit for giving the younger guys a game :018: :thumb04: ;) :015:
  6. I paid my ?4 to get into the stadium and have to say I was impressed with the a few of the players. The right back (2) was excellent as was the keeper until he was Petr Cech'd... (I left shortly after because if I hadn't I probably would have lamped a couple of Rangers fans for their lack of sympathy towards the boy)... our centre of midfield looked strong but unfortunately Rangers have the money/reputation to go round and snap up every decent footballer in the central belt. The early goal was a killer and the team plan was out the window after that. The boys can be proud for getting to a decent stage but I'm gutted for them not getting the experience of a final.
  7. That is a very important statement When was the last time anyone saw him play in an ICT shirt (not reserves)?
  8. Not bad, not bad.. But I bet you couldn't put a Fruit Pastille in your mouth without chewing it? I actually had an album of the guy who was beat boxing in that advert... killa kella... it was pesh
  9. Rossco's form has been far too inconsistent to be captain.
  10. Esson (Us) Reynolds (Motherwell) Diamond (Aberdeen) Wilkie (Dundee U) Barr (Falkirk) Davis (Rangers) Mensing (Hamilton) Dorman (St Mirren) Obua (Hearts) McDonald (Celtic) Fletcher (Hibs) Killie are pesh
  11. Always the optimist.... WE'RE DOOMED!
  12. I sincerely hope not... Clarkson & McCormack up front? Miller may not be everyone's cup of tea but he has always been excellent for Scotland. You may be on to something with us playing 3 centre backs but when was Wilkie called up?
  13. :thumb04: :018: ;) but on a serious note it makes you appreciate the work Scotty, Caley D an the rest of the moderators put into this site
  14. think you're absolutely spot on mate can't imagine he is a bad trainer if Brewster played him... might just be a clash of personalities, either way he should be playing
  15. I'll be there with a few others if they can be persuaded
  16. which Mason are you?
  17. Commons is out.... we'll be playing Marshall on the left wing at this rate f*cking typical... the idea of a squad is so that every position on the park has at least one natural replacement we are going to be crucified at this rate
  18. If we lose next week can I please pick the player to get the dog's abuse from this board?? it seems to change every fecking week... please accept the fact we have a gash team but this is the team we have and if we are going to escape relegation we need fans to get behind the players rather than slate them... Pavels & Munro will be a great partnership but it was a bad day at the office on Saturday, as mentioned earlier Granty is having to do more work with Djibber Jabber at left back and has been caught out because of it Munro is our leader.
  19. Ref was awful but I think we could have played for another 90 minutes and wouldn't have scored a goal. I agree with alternative maryhill, Foran never stopped although could have easily been sent off, Pavels was the only other player I would give pass marks to! we have real problems if we are conceding the way we are and not scoring Stewards were a fcuking joke but you are never surprised by that now-a-days on another sour note... I don't know who it was but some f@nny from our own support was trying to get himself in a fight with Barrowman. I'm the first to admit that Barrowman has had a dismal season but the abuse he got from the front row of supporters was a disgrace... he wasn't even on the pitch ffs! I am yet to see a league win this season, probably best if I stay away for the rest of the season
  20. Doesn't make much sense but fair enough, he is a left footed player who prefers to play on the right rather than what I suggested. When he scored against Man U in the cup he was playing more like a second striker than a winger but it's unlikely he will get us much freedom playing for Scotland. I'm not a massive Alexander fan, especially when he is played at left back but he's had a good season with Burnley and showed he was a match for several premiership wingers this season in both the FA & Carling Cup. Watched McAllister play on Sunday against Cardiff City, he had a decent game but the only reason he is getting a sniff at the Scotland squad is because of a real lack of options. I've not got a massive issue with Broadfoot but what has Barr done??? His team are currently propping up the league and you mocked me (and you rightly should have) about suggesting an ICT player should make it into the squad but it is just as ridiculous suggesting Barr merits a place.... I think the selection of Barr itself has pi55ed me off and shows Burley knows nothing about the current state of the SPL. He might just be a versatile bench warmer and possibly someone Burley thinks will become a player for Scotland but IMO, International management, if anything, is picking form players! Why limit your options on match day when you have already picked a player that isn't going to get a sniff of action? He is just taking up space for someone who has done a better job elsewhere and deserved a place i.e. Diamond, Kenneth, Wilkie, Reynolds.... I'd even prefer to see Robbie fecking Neilson at centre back ahead of Barr I was annoyed when I read this, probably because you're spot on. Caldwell will probably sit infront of the defence and have as bad a performance as every other time he's played there for Celtic and Scotland. He is a ball playing centre half, which is completely different from playing in the centre of the park. If he is not good enough to play in his natural position then the manager shouldn't be making exceptions just to get him on the park I would have liked to see Mulgrew make the team, would have given us a more left sided option and I would have put money on him scoring a free kick
  21. Left footed outfield players: Commons, S.Fletcher, McAllister, Naysmith, McManus, Berra. Get yourself checked out if you think our players should merit a place in that squad! Esson and Black perhaps as backups, but GK and Midfield are Scotland's best covered positions. I'd gladly have any of those players in an ICT shirt (even Broadfoot!), as they are better quality than we have currently. I was being sarcastic about using ICT players Fair play with the lefties though.... is Common not a right footed player who can cover the left side though? He played right wing against the Argies! I am more concerned with Left back & left midfield... obviously Naysmith will be left back and McAllister will be cover/Alexander... but left mid we have Commons & he has maybe picked Teale to cover both not really natural left wingers though
  22. Goalkeepers Craig Gordon (Sunderland) Allan McGregor (Rangers) David Marshall (Norwich City) Defenders Graham Alexander (Burnley) Darren Barr (Falkirk) Christophe Berra (Wolverhampton W.) Kirk Broadfoot (Rangers) Gary Caldwell (Celtic) Alan Hutton (Tottenham Hotspur) Jamie McAllister (Bristol City) Stephen McManus (Celtic) Gary Naysmith (Sheffield United) David Weir (Rangers) Midfield Scott Brown (Celtic) Kris Commons (Derby County) Barry Ferguson (Rangers) Darren Fletcher (Manchester United) Paul Hartley (Celtic) James Morrison (West Bromwich Albion) Gavin Rae (Cardiff City) Gary Teale (Derby County) Forwards David Clarkson (Motherwell) Steven Fletcher (Hibernian) Chris Iwelumo (Wolverhampton W.) Ross McCormack (Cardiff City) Kenny Miller (Rangers) Not impressed to be honest there is more depth and quality in the current ICT squad... Barr is a token gesture, no balance to the squad - I can count 2 left footed outfield players + Gordon I watch a lot of the championship footie and although Teale has had a good run of games he is far far far far from the quality we need to take on a world class team. Glad I didn't waste the money I was going to by going across to The Dam what a mess
  23. He gives his all and has more postive attributes than negative, as long as he is eager to learn he could become an excellent player for us. It was a ludicrous challenge today though and will probably give Tel a decision to play him for the next game or not I can't remember them having a shot on goal after we had a man sent off.. gutted because I live beside hampden so would have been an easy journey but it was obviously going to happen IMO
