Rangers Roll-Call (RiG is too slow this season)
Inconveniently my Uncle's wedding is on the Friday so need to keep the alcohol intake to a minimum and somehow manage to get up early enough to travel from Glasgow to sneck... if all goes to plan I'll be there though

Are You Happy With Our Summer?
One of the biggest and most ambitious signings in the club's history.... a young exciting pacey striker that has said all the right things so far and has showed already he knows where the net is... Cowie.. well it wouldn't be a true transfer window if we didn't get at least one tink from across the bridge... If we get a decent centre half it will be one of the most active the club has ever been in the transfer market! It is encouraging to see the young guys getting a chance but I definitely think we are light at the back still We'll only be able to tell when we get into the start of the season

if you could take 1 player from any other SPL team, who would it be?
That's very high praise indeed for a bit part player at Celtic. I'm not sure either that whether he has a great level of versatility to be honest or whether the fact that he has pace makes him a good player. He is a striker, he is paid to put the ball in the net and he does currently not do that for his club (4 goals in 31 games according to Wiki). Admittedly I don't know how many assists he has. Can you provide this? I doubt they would be more than say Nakamura. Certainly on current form there is no way he can be considered the best player in Scotland. How can a bit part player play 30 games?? :029: I'd have him coming from the left wing on to his right foot if it was down to me... can't find his assist ratio but I am positive he would have high percentage and if not from a direct pass, the amount of occasions I have seen a player finish off an oppertunity after his original effort has been saved or deflected. My point is he causes the opposing defense constant bother and he creates oppertunities for others... anyway this thread was posted for personal opinion and in mine he is a cracking player

I don't see why a striker who runs about a lot but doesn't score should be idolised. For me it would have to be Barry Robson. Quality left winger with a wicked delivery and a real menace at set pieces. Perhaps the only player/manager to have left ICT and bettered himself in the long term. "Idolised" :017: Just answering the question I think if you check Miller's assist ratio, not to mention his goals at International level, versatility... he has pace to burn, hopefully that's what McDonald will bring to the squad but for me Miller is easily one of, if not the best player in Scotland

:hiding03: ... apart from Bayne I don't think there's a player in Scotland that works harder

Marius Niculae Signs For ICT
I bet probably one of the first players to play in Scotland who's scored against Milan

The Stress of Management
Wow - clacher - have you seen how this thread has plummeted quickly into obscurity. I can wholly understand the sense of humility in your response which echoed my concise but polite post. But does it not aggrieve you slightly that we have yet again been proven right but have had no sense of recognition from the gang of bitter individuals who derided, chastised, abused, ostracised and attempted to ridicule and humiliate us earlier this year. As ever we had the courage and the reticence to stick to our principles and our right of personal opinion, even under constant barrage. I like you agree that we should not respond in an infantile manner and stick our two fingers up at our detractors and shout " Fek yas - told yas we were feckin rite all along". That would be childhish and bring us down to their level. We should simply be happy that we were vindicated by CC himself and content ourselves with a mere smirk of satisfaction that we were rite all along. LONG LIVE THE NEW CHARLIE CHRISTIE. :001: You really have a deranged way of looking at things :017: first off all, NO ONE said that Charlie wasn't going to struggle in his first season! You and clacher's argument was/is that he is not the right man for the job, which you now have so radically changed to say how you were right to slag the 5hit out of him when he needed the support more than ever! Others and myself have always pointed out that CC's appointment is for the long term good of the club instead of having a big name for a couple of seasons and he obviously has the best interests of the club at heart. You are either fishing for an argument (if so, well done) or you are talking absolute caak!

'Inverness hold Niculae talks'
Atrocious player. Recently there was an Aberdeen youth player and a pal who were drunk and beat a guy up on Union Street I think it was. John Stewart certainly not involved there anyway. Saw him play in a couple of reserve games up here and scored quite a few goals, quite good ones too and had a fairly good scoring record in the reserve league. However, going by the reports that he missed a club function and the fact he was released from Aberdeen for, rumoured to be attitude problems, then i dont think it would be a good idea to pursue signing him. Sounds like he has a very poor attitude to the game and if he cant get a regular game at Falkirk then i sincerely hope we dont try to sign him! With RIG on this one, IMO he is mince but if he doesn't cost anything he could be looked at as a backup although I would prefer we look to add quality rather than quantity
