  1. Hey folks, I know some people on here are tech heads. Anyone recommend a sub ?400 lappy with a 15 inch screen? I'm leaning towards an Asus at the moment.
  2. Barcelona of the north. That's one of my favourite strips to date.
  3. I think the Chinese were just trying to sent out a message to a lot of governments. I thought it was a bit brutal they didn't hand over his remains. Apparently he was buried in the city where the execution took place in an unmarked grave.
  4. Might as well...
  5. Why do the club need an outside catering company? Can't they run the catering themselves?
  6. Nothing compares to the Bridies at East End Park Caley Stan.
  7. County will do well under Brewster... Ahem... What is it with all of these fans posting on CTO? Are their own forums that shyte? It's a long season and we'll probably be better placed when the transfer window closes to find out the lay of the land. Tokely wanting to go to the SPL made me chuckle though! Seriously, you should be writing for stand up comedians mate.
  8. The most galling part is we can't take flasks to the ground. And in regards to the pies, we have some great butchers in inverness. (not including the manager lolz)
  9. I don't care about the price if the food as I've now stopped buying it. It's really annoying that the bovril is cold though - especially in this bitterly cold weather. Perhaps it's now time to reconsider going to I home matches IMHO.
  10. I didn't bother with a pie today. Stupidly bought another bovril as it was so cold at the game. Bovril was lukewarm at best and I threw half of it away. Ended up leaving at half time today.
  11. Mallard pub
  12. I'm sure I saw a weegie version of this a while ago.
  13. Bit of a contradiction there no? That's what I was thinking Ren! Great minds think alike and all that.... Maybe SMEE you'll get a lady who's in to gaming?
  14. Hardcore Wyness101, hardcore. Personally I can't think of anything worse than sitting in the North Stand freezing my nuts off - but each to his own and good luck to you boys.
  15. *yawn* You either can or can't help.
  16. Where's good 'ol Cliff Richard when you need him most? He needs to do another Christmas song with the Shadows since they've reformed. "tennis anyone?"
  17. It always seems strange to me this presidential route we're going down when we have no say on who the leader will be. I find it galling insofar as it's Murdoch's BSkyB network which has pushed and pushed for this debate to take place. I think that each constituency should have debates where constituents could quiz the candidates who are standing.
  18. I've not read the books on ICT. I just listened to the rest of Saturday's Off the Ball on the iPlayer and Pele stated that Graham Spiers has given his book a good review: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/col...icle6960928.ece
  19. I like books on Dutch football Mantis so I'll give Football Against the Enemy a read. I read one of Kupers other books called Ajax, the Dutch, the war. In fact I've still got a hardback copy of it in the house. It was pretty good too. Alternative Maryhill, I'm definately going to give A season in Verona a read.
  20. After listening to Steve Paterson on Off the Ball yesterday, I'm looking forward to reading his Confessions book. I've read a few football related books over the years but my favourite still remains David Winner's Brilliant Orange: The Neurotic Genius of Dutch Football. I liked the way he intertwines the study of Dutch football with the way in which Dutch society is organised. Anyone got any other 'must read' books they would recommend?
  21. Aye well... here's hoping. IF we win and IF it sparks a losing streak for Dundee then maybe. I honestly can't see that happening to Dundee. They're winning games comfortably (from their scorelines) and I can't see where our goals are going to come from. The Pars were there for the taking yesterday and we didn't do it. I still think we should be playing Barrowman. Just my humble opinion though.
  22. I'm going. Hopefully we can win this and spark Dundee's losing streak....
  23. No snow in Edinburgh but the place is covered in a sheet of ice. I met one person on Friday night who had broken their arm and saw a girl fall really badly walking home. By last night the council still had not gritted the pavements. Total disgrace.
  24. Harsh penalties for dealing would be a start and investment in drug treatment might be a good move. I guess we have to look at the bigger picture and consider why people are having to turn to heroin in the first place. Social immobility and a lack of opportunties to break free from the cycle of poverty?
  25. The bridies were excellent though! Only ?2 a pop too. I had a couple but by half time they had sold out and I had to settle for a pie. Nevermind. The Pars were woeful today - the game was awful BUT we should have won it. They were there for the taking. Imrie was much improved on last week - he actually passed the ball! IWho would have thought. Hayes was also good today - I hope we can hang on to him. Good day out though. I enjoyed it. Where was Caley Stan though?
