  1. Doubt you'll get catering. I'll miss this one tonight as I can't come up for it. Good to learn there is coverage on the radio.
  2. No doot aboot it... When are you going to post the answers Latviaman? It was, afterall, sone thing for the weekend and the weekend is now sadly over.
  3. I like to phyically have the music and buy CD albums. I read that MP3 at the highest bitrate download provides a better quality of sound than a CD. Here's an article from a while back which offers insight in to CDs... http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/15/1983-re...thed-hindsight/
  4. I'm surprised that Dundee have a smaller squad than us by 6.
  5. Yay! 10% unemployment in the Eurozone - sounds like a great idea! Bring it on ASAP. We'll never be governed like a Scandinavian country. People would never vote for such high taxation. For all people slagging off the government and the PM, I think he's doing a decent job considering the circumstances.
  6. First question, I'd guess Russia. Last question, I'd guess a star. Don't have a clue about the questions in between.
  7. Your wit knows no limit! :(
  8. I rate McBain. I think that he if he had a part to play in our season so far we would be sitting higher in the league. I would love to know why TB doesn't even have him on the bench.
  9. haha! class! Who's bringing the flares for the North Stand at the next home match?
  10. Cross anyone's mind that they might have been on their lunchbreak?
  11. Now THAT'S an advert for summer football!! Gutted I can't make Monday. Hope it's a good one.
  12. At least if we're not playing we're not dropping points!! On a serious note though, I'm having serious football withdrawl.
  13. Ouch. ?17 is pretty steep. Any idea about the time the pitch inspection will take place? I'm having football withdrawl symptoms.
  14. Just had a look on Scotrail: 11:15 Edinburgh Waverley 12:05 Glasgow Queen Street 12:05 Glasgow Queen Street 12:35 Glasgow Central 12:35 Glasgow Central 13:15 Cartsdyke There's a train back at 1717 to central. Cheap day returns from Waverley to Cartsdyke are coming it at ?18.80. Off-peak day returns from Cartsdyke to Central are coming in at ?5.75.
  15. Assume you're heading to it if it's on? I thought the reference to drinking at lunchtime would have given it away. Nice and early in the Norseman, son... I'm going to check the train fares through from Edinburgh tonight - if it's too expensive I may be driving...
  16. Assume you're heading to it if it's on?
  17. Trains are running again albeit on a limited service. Apparently they'll BR back to normal from Sunday when they get the signals sorted.
  18. I'm hoping this game will be going ahead.
  19. Pros and cons in both systems. Takes us back to thinking of Isaiah Berlin's positive v negative liberty theory. Do Cubans want a free Market economy which operates in a global, volatile state, or stick with things the way they are? ICTChris makes a good point in relation to there being a seige mentality perhaps.
  20. I suppose it's understandable from the club point of view in terms of revenue - game on equals money in the coffers. Pity I won't be able to make it up to it. Wonder how they'll work the catering if the staff are coming up from Edinburgh? Also what about TV coverage? Anyone have any idea if sky or the BBC might cover it?
  21. Cheers for the post Nod. I'll keep an eye out for them. BBC 3?
  22. It's a real shitter that BBC are not covering the tournament this year. I've got Sky Sports BUT it doesn't cover a Eurosport subscription.
  23. Sportsound were discussing Kilmarnock yesterday and chairman / MD Michael Johnston. Apparently he takes around 50k per annum which would place him in the top 1% of global earners. Hardly megabucks but compared to the average person, a good salary. I think it tends to be more egotistical rather than altruistic reasons which drive people to become involved in football clubs at this level. Financial gain for most probably doesn't come in to the situtation. I always feel in the case of some of these oligarchs like Abramovic that it's like a real life game of subbuteo for them. Of course, there are other situtations like Romanov at Hearts which may be entirely different...
  24. Getting back to the original aim of this thread... Any good up and coming managers in the lower leagues who haven't been mentioned yet?
  25. Unfortunately the appointments for the 20th haven't been announced on the SFA website as yet so we don't know who'll be officiating the match. Word of warning - the stadium is in a very exposed position next to the Moray Firth so wrap up well!
