CTO - The Future
One aspect of CTO I find myself coming to rely on is news about the club. After relegation the amount of coverage we get, as everyone will be aware of, has decreased dramatically. Ergo, I find myself coming on here far more. I realise that a lot of people give their time and money to run the site and for that I thank them. Ultimately though we are operating within an oligarchical power structure here and there are those who have power and those who do not.

Inverness Cup
I hope they survive. I've got a relative who plays for them and I enjoy the pre-season friendlies down at Grant Street. Keep us posted as to when the game is going to be played.

Cup Final Roll Call
It's a fecking joke! It's either a direct train at half nine or a two hour journey via Stirling, all after a night out on the Saturday. I am going, plus two. Altogether now: I'd rather be in Kabul than Dundee Rather be in Kabul Rather be in Kabul than Dundee You can stick your f*cking circles Stick your f*cking circles Stick your f*cking circles up yer arse. etc Aye a two hour train journey for 44 miles. Personally couldn't believe how crap the service to Perth from Edinburgh is on a Sunday.

Cup Final Roll Call
I'm going + 5. Getting a lift up to Perth on Sunday - trains from Edinburgh are few and far between. Really looking forward to it. Hope the turnout is decent.

U-19,s
This is a wikipedia wind-up that's gone too far. Pat Nevin is 100% weedgie - i'd be surprised if he's even set foot in the Highlands. Barry Wilson is a Fifer although i think he deserved that status of 'honorary Highlander'. On topic, i think it's a real shame that we haven't kept an U-19 team. The cutting costs argument doesn't really wash as nearly every other team in the First Division has one. I think this is yet another example of short-term thinking from the ICT board. Short term thinking from the board?! Never!

Our next six league games
A win on Sunday would certainly be a pyschological boost. And would send a clear message to all and sundry that we ARE title contenders.

Butcher to go...
The SFA are going to meet this week to discuss George Burley's future. According to the BBC he's going to be offered a package. I'm assuming by this that come a week Saturday we're going to have a full time manager. Will this make an impact on our promotion prospects? I've got good feelings about our next six games AND the rest of our season.

Video Footage
As well as video footage, the club is missing out on other marketing opportunties where we could be making money to invest in youth development and the first team. I recall there have been threads about this, though this is an issue which could be addressed. Fair play to Dundee for getting some merchandise out to celebrate the cup final next week.

Our next six league games
28/11/2009 - Partick Thistle - Inverness CT win 05/12/2009 - Queen of the South - Inverness CT a draw 12/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Raith Rovers win 19/12/2009 - Dunfermline - Inverness CT win 26/12/2009 - Inverness CT - Dundee win 02/01/2010 - Inverness CT - Ross County - a win against the wuds. We'll have space to play and our pitch isn't a tattie field. I hope that for these games we get some of the top cat one refs like Calum Murray in. One of my pals who is a pars season ticket holder told me that qos basically kicked them off the park.

Butcher + Malpas
A win is a win... "lets all be negative!"

Derek Adams
10 man Ayr from 60 minutes no less.

Interesting...
So long as it's negative it's acceptable on here. We should have scored more.

DVD Latest
Thanks :) :) :) If there is to be a DVD (and I hope that there is) it will be a 10th anniversary edition and as the 10th Anniversary isn't until February, so don't hold your breath for news just quite yet. First chance to see the whole 90 minutes of the game will be at the dinner in the Drumossie on Feb 6th. See 'Still a night to remember' thread. We are hoping to release a DVD soon after, but there are many hoops to jump through yet before we can make any promises. I've got it on VHS. Could easily convert it to a DVD. But then that's probably illegal...

Butcher must Go!
Butcher is a stopgap, his contract should't be renewed. He saw us as a road back to full time management and the board saw him as a "name" to appease the fans, how's that working out for them? SPL to SFL mediocrity in a matter of weeks. No new contract until he demonstrates a degree of consistency and only then after looking at all the other options available to us. You fail to mention that we were spiraling to SFL mediocrity before Butcher came along, he did almost turned it round with players he didnt know (or sign in the window). However as we have seen Butchers signings have been dropped like flies and the old players gradually being re-introduced, i think we are looking at a more positive side now and if he signs a decent defender in January to stop the leaks, we could have a decent run in to the end of the season. I'm in agreement with you on that 100%. We need a Dods'esque' centre half who can command. IF and it is a big if they can sign someone then that will make a massive difference. IMHO.

Butcher must Go!
Not really a constructive comment. On what grounds? I'm probably of the inkling that we should try to get the current management team to sign for another couple of years. I like the fact that Terry gets animated during matches and appears to be passionate about his role. I'm not keen on him going public in regard to performances from Saturday.

Butcher must Go!
I can help but think that the situation we're in at the moment in terms of management is the same as what Rangers were in when Walter Smith announced his departure before the end his last tenure. This had a really negative impact on his results in his last season. I can't help but wonder if this is the case with Terry at moment. I'm of the opinion that good managers motivate players through praise and building confidence. Stability is also key to this. In many ways I'm wondering if it would be better if the club either offers them new contracts OR come to agreement where we can appoint a management team on a longer term basis to give us the stability we need.

Butcher's aftermatch comments in the NOTW
Sanchez and barrowman. I still don't rate Rooney IMHO. As for tokely playing as a CB I'm totally against it. He's never been a pacey player but in some games he's looking decidely slow. An example being the recent victory over Raith. Btw Darren Dods was a spectator at that game...
