  1. DC; Renegade: Fair enough, you don't rate Butcher as a manager; I have doubts myself. But can either of you explain why it would benefit the club more to sack him now, accrue extra debts for the club paying off his and MM's contracts and leave a replacement (probably of equally or more dubious pedigree) to fashion a winning side out of TB's signings, rather than accepting we're going to have a poor season and allowing TB and MM to walk away at the end of the season at no extra cost to the club? And if you can't, don't you think it's potentially counter-productive to be so relentlessly critical of the management team? I'm not having a go: I've just not been convinced yet by any of the arguments in favour of changing the management team mid-season. P.S. Apologies for not being able to quote properly from multiple posts in one reply - maybe some kind person less technically inept than me will explain it some day... I don't think I've called for him to be sacked so far, I just feel that he should never have been given the job in the first place. If I could turn back time, and I was given the choice to take Butcher or not, I wouldn't take him. I was keen on him coming in in the first place, but now looking back I was wrong to think so. His record says it all, it's not even what you'd call mediocre. Five previous sackings, four sackings and the other was a bottom finish in his first season, only saved from relegaton on a technicallity. The way his team is and plays, his ICT team, it's obvious why he has such a poor record. The problem is we sit and tolerate it and don't have the funds to get rid of him no matter how bad is, and we're going to have to sit and bare with it for now. This site needs a "pot...kettle" smiley! The difference, mine would work. Big beefs with Mr Butcher from many people. Second half during the Raith game he actually gave a flying fyck and it was clear he wanted to win. I've said all along, if he, from his personal point of view, can't win / hold a decent position in the first division then he should, perhaps, give up on management completely. Maybe that's his plan? Year in the big snake then offski? Who knows. My view is that the home 'fans' are a miserable shower who are too negative. Personally I'm a fan of Butcher as a man. As a manager, I think he's getting a wee bit of a hard time. We have a small club - granted. But does it need to operate in such a highland league manner? ( And in no way am I dissing the highland league.) Too many people on here are very quick to offer their opinions. Are you coaching these players week in, week out? (I was going to offer day in, day out...) Too many people on here are too quick to blame players and the management. I say lay off with the negativity and look forward to the game against Ayr on Saturday. I think we're going to pump 'em rotten
  2. if you live near a Sainsburys they have got ?15 return deal tokens on the go for anywhere in Scotland. Just tried calling Ayr United to get ticket prices but there was no answer.
  3. Might as well head down. Anyone know the ticket prices for this one?
  4. Ok, so the impression is that board members are only about self-promotion and don't really have the interests of our club at heart. I am fed up of the negative posts/threads on here being so self defeatist. What needs to change in order for us to move forward? I think ICT has the potential to punch well above our weight.

Naaa, don't agree. He's paid money to play football - which is great. He should score all the time at every opportunity. Why you sticking up for him?

I'd go with this but replace Sanchez for Cox
  7. From all of TBs signings Hayes looks the best by a long way. Have to say that Sanchez was pretty damn good on Tuesday. On the other hand, I think if the club can keep Esson he could be the key to a return to the SPL so on that basis I'm going to pip for him.
  8. Have they really, like really disappeared? I read this post thinking an Argentinian military junta had taken over at the TCS
  9. We come down, we're the team to beat. Who is to blame for the situation we're in. TB and MM? The players? Or the board and lack of investment? All of the new threads today have been aimed at the management team and the players which, while I understand the frustration and upset, are hardly constructive and helpful. What will be the situation come January? Will there be ANY money to strengthen the squad? Just thoughts...
  10. I'm going. Hopeful of a good ICT turnout with all of the positive thinking fans. Boo boys please stay at home.
  11. I'm at a loss for words today really. I nearly got the train up (from Edinburgh) this morning to go to the game. I'm glad I chose to not use my season ticket today and stay at home. From speaking to friends who were at the game the message 'tactical ineptitude' was glaring.
  12. I'm with you on that Yngwie.
  13. If that is the case then 3400 will cover it. There's probably going to be a number of folk put off from going down the A9 on a Sunday during the winter. I'll be making the journey up to if from Edinburgh. I'm actually quite looking forward to it.
  14. Elbow or shoulder, there was intent to injure the player and it should have been a straight red. I hope action is taken over this is retrospect as these players are role models for young players.
  15. Interesting to see you post on behalf of MS Caley D. Also interesting that the complaints came from 'caley thistle' fans in the North stand. Not that it matters now, but the club needs to crack down on people in our stands who are glory hunters supporting Huns - green or blue. The crowd today was pretty poor. The stewards eyeball everyone. This is in no way a dig at you Caley D as I realise you are the messenger but the club needs to get them sorted out. We, the fans, pay their wages. Perhaps a wee course on customer relations could be a suggestion for the stewards?
  16. from the p& j article: Northern Constabulary Inspector Blair Marquis said: ?Allegations of racism are rarely encountered at the stadium, though if they are then they are treated seriously.?. How many allegatons made against ICT fans exactly? I think under freedom of information legislation it would be possible to put this to bed. It's hardly portraying ICT fans in a good light. I also think that the "fans representatives" at the meeting were unhappy with the fact that the word bas tards was being used before gypsy. What is with these precious "fans"? is there ANY football club with such a negative, boring element? Here's the full p&j story: http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1423887 after alex pointed out the overthebridge boards on this issue it's pretty evident that the whole thing is an absolute farce.
  17. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_ne...amp;newsID=4959 Couple of questions for TB on the night... As a season ticket holder with expectations of the team in the first division, do you think your constant travelling around Scotland for other jobs such as commentary are in in way, shape or form having any impact on ICT performances? OR Are you serious about managing ICT or is it just a bit of a jolly.

I've got it on video. I believe it was actually Celtic who put it out on the Market. There's about eight minutes of highlights on YouTube. On a more satisfying note I have that 3-2 game on my hard disc recorder taped off celtic tv. Still watch it from 60 minutes in on a fairly regular basis. I was lucky enough to be at that game. Unlike the 3-1 game back in 2000 cos their stadium was falling to bits on the Saturday.
  19. Not feeling too confident about this one but have the ticket. Wonder about the crowd with this being on Alba.
  20. would TB be really bothered. MM and TB will be offski at the end of the season...
  21. Here's a radical thought, why not abide by the rules? By buying your ticket to attend a match you agree to behave in a manner that doesn't infringe any of the club's rules, it's not difficult. pass the sweeties...
  22. I'm with the OP to a great extent here, but on this ocassion I won't be boycotting the game. It does seem strange the way in which green and blue huns can stand in the south stand for the duration of a game yet not told to sit down or be ejected. This thread reminds me about a thread I posted regarding increasing crowds and the way ICT fans are treated (or not treated) by the club. Take the bottom six game Away to Killie toward the end of last season. Killie fans were standing for the game, while the young ICT fans who were trying to create an atmosphere were simply moved to the back so they could stand and sign. These Caley stewards are a bit ott to be honest - especially as WE pay their wages. I'm sure there are people put off from going to games with steawrding being a factor. I had hospitailty tickets to a game last season where a supporter of the opposition team ( a young girl) was told by a steward to take hef scarf off! This was despite her wearing the scarf through lunch. On a final note I won't be going back to tannadump. Their stewards are shocking.
