  1. It is actually something that I have posted on a number of occasions
  2. It would appear that we have young, promising players who are lacking in leadership on and off the park. Welsh is going to play in spells so we needed to sign an old head but that type of personality would not fit in with our higher echelons. I am absolutely fuming at Robertson being AWOL again - at a time of crisis - and Dodds losing his own plot and an undoubted upcoming statement about his frustration over the players. And wait for the Alamo cry for the Diamonds. Will he be lucky again and a close win give him more breathing space. I gave him support last season but I hope that our season stays as it is as it will be the only way to get rid of this blight. And I wish that somebody would pose a press question as to why Robbo is allowed to be a part time tink and probably knows more about their system than ours.
  3. This appears to be the most fervently anticipated game for a long time. Last time I felt like this was Lossiemouth away on a Tuesday night in January.
  4. I suppose an issue is also that we came from the bottom and saw winning and entertaining football for many years and appeared to be consolidating a top league position. We have dropped a level and the fare has too. I often have comparison thoughts between Pele and Dodds which brings on a shiver !! I will be ICT tillidie but the main source of my anger is that the club are ignoring the support. It is clear that there is a broken dressing room and nothing has actually changed or even looked like changing. And where has the cash gone from the Cup run. It has helped balance the books which is a success for some. Fraid that this forum - and probably the survey - is populated by the pi$hed off and I would love to hear the views of the faithful and the yoof
  5. In Englandshire I follow Everton. I'm fecked. But in a more serious manner I am not throwing away money to go to regular away days. I went to Maryhill twice last season and was disgusted. I have to concede that things evidently improved at the end of the season but I am worried that lessons have not be learned and I am going to wait and see. Ayr is a regular game for me and Airdrie is new but I ain't going to either.
  6. I am going to put on a Happy Clapper personna but with a degree of doubt. So we have had a slow and probably difficult start to the season, in the sense that we are still in a regrouping phase. We have a pretty good away record at Ayr and we should already have sussed out Airdrie. So let's expect improvements and I would be content with a 1 win and 4 point tally from the next two games, which would boost the overall confidence and stabilise the ship. Anything less, even at this early stage would be more difficult to move forward and the knives - apart from the upper echelons - will be well and truly sharpened. And I really wish that somebody would give Dodds a reality checking slap before he goes into his post match dribble as it is becoming repetitively embarrassing, totally smacks of diverting the blame and showing a total lack of responsibility and respect for the players and fans.anu have quite reluctantly remained supportive with the promise of better times. Well they had better get a feckin move on and drastically improve their communication channels
  7. This could herald the rise of Clachnacuddin FC. As for the shinty I wish people would stop hurling abuse as if they give a puck.
  8. Today is more important than some think. When you look at the fixture list there are none that you would consider to be bankers. And two tough away games to follow - could be anything from 0 to 9 - hopefully at least 4-5. Aaarrrgghhh
  9. The two most important things in this league are getting off to a good start and not going on a losing streak. Teams in this league will beat each other and I reckon that there could be 4 or 5 fighting for promotion at the death. So our opening 4-5 games are crucial and if only we could make Inverness a feared ground to come to again. Survival is the main aim but that, in our case, will not be good enuff
  10. HT - ICT 1 Spiders 0 FT - ICT 2 Spiders 0 Ist scorer ICT - Billy McKay NO Spider scorer Crowd - 1878
  11. 7th BB's and he was involved in most sports at school level.
  12. At risk of a warning this thread is getting feckin boring.
  13. Our Jackie should have got a knighthood years ago. Nobody has given more to junior football in Inverness
  14. Well I am not going overboard yet although the danger signs are looming in the not so far horizon. To me the last two games have been akin to pre season friendly experimentation. Why else rotate the keepers and make so many changes during the game?? Yet other excuses but probably acceptable are the short preparation time, letting newbies settle in, fitness improvement and seeking the preferred starting eleven and system. I would say that enuff is enuff and we have to use the Dundee game as the opening league game. I presume, given previous comments, that we are persevering with the tippy tappy, play from the back style - which I hate and worry that it is a modern trend that many teams follow. We have been lacking of a tall centre forward for some season but I thought that the purchasing of apparently young, pacy and skilful additions would lead to a more attack minded approach and using width and speed. The upper echelons were lucky last season and have promised much for this campaign. Their heads are already on the blocks and it is time to show us that they can change and care. And quickly!!
  15. Hopefully this poor performance will bring everybody back down to earth., There is no hiding this season and excuses for the next 4-6 games are going to lessen and lessen. The Diamonds has become, as Doddsie alluded to, a must win game. That should provide some answers to the spirit and the tactics. Keeping the faith at the mo.
  16. This Diddy League IS our pre season. Can you recall that we finished later than usual last season. If we can pinch points at the Rock and against Airdrie they will be bonuses. I think that we will and then we can travel to Dundee with a real cup tie feeling and challenge. I don't want to go out of this cup but I do see it more as a preparatory and investigatory journey and the more players we field and observe - the better for all concerned.
  17. Let's have a wee look into the future - 2043 - Invernessian football fans chanting a song about the past and in reverence to their forefathers - US. " It is old and it is beautiful and it's colours they are fine, it was worn at Dingwall, Elgin, Peterhead and Aboyne. My father wore it as a youth in the bygone days of yore and on the 12th I am proud to wear the strip my father wore.
  18. What's wrong with an orange shirt on the 12th of July - I'd rather be a Billy than a Jaggie.
