  1. As RIG alluded to earlier this is as much if not more to do with BBC as Viaplay.
  2. Do you think that I will get more than double for concession tickets
  3. Well TBH I am undecided. I wholly concede that injuries have significantly affected our season but some of the tactics and decisions made during games were baffling and added to the poor performances. I also read that Dodds is going to loosen the training schedules if we make the play offs. Surely we did'nt train gungho last season ??!! There was also a part of the season that many players looked cheesed off BUT the "togetherness" feeling certainly does appear high at the present time. The beef with Ridgers did not help either. BUT you learn from your mistakes and this season simply has to have been a massive learning curve for Dodds. I would offer a season long contract with a clause to prolong. Finances would wholly support that. And Dodds has been tarnished with the same brush as others above him and that does look unfair. The result on Friday may well still have an influence but all I care about is beating Ayr and the achievements of Play Offs and the BIGGEST ever game in our history cant be ignored. Those achievements are not gained by fools.
  4. But perhaps a 17.30 kick off would allow more time for pre-match preparations ?
  5. To avoid a clash with the FA Cup Final !!! and will be playing when the Epsom Derby is run. So much for your traditional 3.00 kick off and any consideration for the travelling supports !!
  6. Let’s face it our significant improvement on the field as watered down the previously expected vitriol. Are the upper echelons not primarily focused on the budgets and explaining the spending - or perhaps utilising clever concealment. So many were baying for this AGM and it has been a damp squib - giving no real responses to the fan base. My main concern would be an ignorance towards the fans views BUT most forums have predominantly been supportive with the main dissenters being - as Caley 100 would shout - Fannies. And finally if there were major shareholders it may be different and let’s hope that the sale of houses continues.
  7. 23rd March 2003 - Come hear the noise of Sneckie Boys - As once more we took the mighty Celtic on - When Hart flew down the wing - A Wyness goal was a sure thing - and the Caley went ballistic once again Now on June 3 could the names of Hart and Wyness be replaced - and give the Fields of Athenry an update
  8. And the moral of the tale is Trust Your Local Seer
  9. What the feck is going on ? The negativity on this forum is unbelievable. I suppose the Dodds Out movement are worried about success !! We are going to Hampden yet again with the potential to reach a second Scottish Cup Final which to me is dreamland. Is this any different to Dundee, Dunfermline, Hearts or Celtic?? As long as the team don’t get carried away with the favourites tag then our form will win through. I suppose to many this is a no lose situation - win and we should have beaten Falkirk - lose and we can blame Dodds. Some were talking about relegation and extinction a few weeks ago. I bet if we do win there will be significantly more going to the final. Well I will be there and I am confident of a result and yet another trip to a final. I am confident that we will be in the playoffs. Those two games are all that I am interested in and both are very important for the future of this club. I am signing off again for a while as I am getting close to another banning
  10. Was anyone concerned about the wording and phrasology of Dodds in the Dundee post-match interview. It may well be reverse psychology but there is a sniff of building up excuses. This is a time for positivity and encouragement. If the same words were uttered if we have to toil through the play offs then I could accept - but we have full weeks off during the next two games which in essence will define our season.
  11. Jhesus - I would have placed Bill in the same category as Tomack - sad times in Inverness
  12. What the feck - good point and other results in our favour - let’s march on Hampden and prepare for the play offs
  13. Welsh looked knackered at the end at Hamilton but good move by Dodds to keep him on - saving him for the cup is also the proper move and surely Carson in midfield is a no brainer
  14. I have a bottle in readiness which I expect to provide quite a few Doddsies
  15. As far as I am concerned I would be wholly content with a play off place and a Cup Final appearance. Those in themselves would completely surpass any expectations at the start of the season. Even seers cant predict automatic promotion.
  16. Let’s do it for Tomack. He would certainly have scared off the Fat Lady. Onwards and upwards
  17. Now I see it from another perspective. We can let the footballing side take a back seat and be more focussed on the accounts and in particular the plans to ensure future stability. I do worry that there may be a Self Preservation Society stance but that could be more damning. Caley D unfortunately summed it up in regard to past attempted interventions or challenges. Lets not allow it to happen this time.
  18. Spent two thoroughly enjoyable seasons at Columba FC with Tomack and John Beaton - and enjoyed quite a few drams together as well. Raising a glass in remembrance of a great man. And recalling the number of swear words and attempted slaps as my "aquifer" wind up did not impress Tomack.
  19. It pretty well sums up the rollercoaster ride of the 22/23 season - and it aint feckin over yet !!
  20. Let’s salute them all there was no sign of latency last night. IMG_2258.MOV
  21. Quick Quiz question- 1 point for each correct answer - When was the last time that we played Ayr United on the last day of the season ? What was the significance of that result? Who did we surprisingly prevent from being promoted ? Is that all pure coincidence?
  22. Well I am “in between” RIG and the Borders paramedic guitarist - waiting for the release of “Nathan on the wing”. There was a lot of tippy tappy but it was clinical and impressive at times. But as RIG points out there was NO final killer pass and the end product was usually loss of control or a hoof and when you have Billy and Boyd up front well ??!! I have to concede that I swallowed all my Hubba Bubba when they scored and thought that the Fat Lady had taken over from Lady Luck. But the goal - and the substitutions- was the miracle healer and we were like the ICT of old for 10 exhilarating minutes. We thoroughly deserved the three points as Hamilton were very poor and heading for potential extinction. And - feck me that was our predictions a couple of months ago. I am not going with a Smileymometer and I have very few negatives to muse over. Ridgers, Devine and Deas are as strong a back three combo that we have had for many seasons. Delaney had his best ever performance but - I know I repeat it - Carson is not a full / wing back even if he is always 110% effort and defensively reliable. And is there a better midfield pairing than Allardice and Welsh ?? That five stood out last night. The rest were mediocre to ineffective. Again at the risk of repeating myself Doran is a 20-30 minute substitute and I am not sure how Boyd merited a start. And Dodds missed substituting both much earlier than he did as many in the stands were baying for 10 minutes into the second half. Billy actually had an off day but most of the hits to him were in the air or his colleagues not being on the same footballing brain level - but he simply scores when he feckin wands and Shaw was hot and cold but again he produced the goods. Hope we are not getting too reliant on him . We certainly missed Henderson to take some of the flak off. Not sure what is the possible issue with Samuels as he appears to be fully fit and the best foil up front for McKay. But what a night and now what a season- and more to come and hopefully enjoy As for Mary Hill I nursed him back on the train to Central. How can you worry about glue when you are feckin bald ?? And we had a reassuring chat with a suited and booted Muppet on the journey which confirmed my hope for the future. My only lasting concern is that Rod the Mod still wants to smack me And the Fat Lady was well muffled and apparently watching from the Invermorriston area - Only feckin joking
