We now could have the Walrus and Mr Bean up front at Hellgin ?
-
About time somebody apologised to Dougal. Good to see CB being rightly chastised. The one thing that Foran is NOT is a jacker. He will fight it out. Lets hope that his predicament and precarious position drives the players to rally to the cause.

Our Winter of Discontent ?

What is the point of a tuskless walrus - I am afraid that he is another example of Foran's annoying stubbornness as he simply strained for a successful signing. He is not SPL standard. Fisher is only slightly better but again neither have been given the opportunity of playing up front with a nippy partner. -

Not sure if that was Foran's decision. It was finance related again. Yogi appointed buddy Rice in a Good Samaritan move. And again am I alone in not being too surprised that we may be relegated. I am surprised that we have stayed in the Prem for so long and more surprised (although evidently delighted) that we came back up the next season. We are basically a "feeder" club. We will never hold on to any promising player. We are a "shop window" club. We will never attract more than 3-4000 punters and that clearly affects our financial clout. We will never be able to compete with wages and agent demands. We are still in the "back of beyond" geographically. Our survival is based on "togetherness" and "playing for the shirt". Too many this season do NOT fit that bill. Richie's main Achilles heel is that he still appears to be "one of the boys". I will always wallow in our cup runs and triumph and the fact that we actually played in Europe. Sugar Daddy required or bye, bye Premiership.

Is it just me ?? I find these after match comments nauseatingly pathetic Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Richie Foran says he is "letting the supporters down" as his side languish at the bottom of the Premiership. Caley Thistle fell to a 3-2 defeat away to Highland rivals Ross County, leaving them without a win in 10 matches. "I'm letting supporters down, I'm letting the board down, I'm letting the chairman down at the moment," Foran told BBC Scotland. "But, believe me, I feel it. That will change." He added: "We'll get better, I'll get better, my team will get better in 2017 with a little bit of help, some players coming in." "Today's probably the first time we looked a bit nervy, a bit low on confidence from our goalkeeper to our striker," said Foran. "All over the park, I thought we looked a bit low on confidence. "When you're like that, you're also low on energy. I thought County had a wee bit more energy around the park than us, a bit more fight, a bit more grit, which is disappointing from our point of view. This break is coming at the right time now. These lads need to get away, get their minds refreshed. "For me starting in management in 2016, it's been a poor half of the season from my point of view, from me and also from the players. We need to get ourselves refreshed, come back ready to go again. "We're only six points out of the top six, which is our aim. We believe we'll still get there. We need to come back better in 2017 than we were in 2016."- 90 replies

The only thing that is going to get us out of the mire is the appointment of an experienced ex-manager on a 6 month contract - as an assistant manager or the famed Director of Football position.

Or can we move forward and upwards - Ross County away in the league and Elgin City away in the cup must be the juiciest pair of fixtures that we have had in ages. Both are clearly winnable and if a pair of fixtures, given our present predicament, were ever going to be strong motivators then no others could surpass. Then we have three relegation dogfights - Hamilton (away) but Partick Thistle and Dundee (home). Our future will be a lot clearer when the final whistle blows at the TCS on 04/02/2017. I would welcome 8 points out of 12 and obviously a cup win. Is that too much to ask ?

I am reliably informed that Richie has stated that he is not going to trim his beard until we win a game. I have a prediction for the end of th season.- 61 replies

Wish I was going to Dungwall and nothing will stop me going to Hellgin. As RIG says this is the time to rally. There was a lot of complaints about Yogi but he did set up a system, albeit not always pretty, to win games. Foran clearly lacks the experience and really does not have much of a bootroom to advise and mould. As ever we have a manager who sticks by his guns and probably sees change as failure or NOW bowing down to fan pressure. BUT he simply has to if we are to survive. IMHO Tansey has had Aberdire in his head for months. I think that he should have been benched weeks ago. However I hope he provides us with a final "swan song" at Dungwall. Shurely we will ALL be giving this 110%. As fer being better off going down the ONLY positive to that is cheaper entrance prices and better away days. As OCG points out we could be a Stain Midden. This is not a case of going down and bouncing straight up again.- 61 replies
