  1. That's us and Tinkerville playing against 10 men.
  2. 67/33 possession to us BUT two shots and one on target - and that was a Raven left footer from outside the box !! Perhaps the sun is in our eyes ?
  3. Yogi would have had to win the feckin Europa Cup to get a contract from our misers. But even Scooge changed and we are heading towards the season of goodwill.
  4. With so many centurions we must be comparable to the English football team. No wonder Tansey looked apprehensive and out of sorts last week. It must have been nerve wracking 99th playing on that surface, Well done Greg - is that 100 over both spells ?
  5. Baffled at how Draper is injured for this one. Thank goodness we saved Raven and Williams. As fer Mutombo - he must have stubbed his toe when he raced clear and lost his balance due to the surface and a sudden gust of wind.
  6. Let's just forget this. It was a long distance to travel, it was a dreary Autumn day, the pitch was like ancient astro turf and we were simply very, very, very unlucky.
  7. Raven, Williams and Draper - all three to start against St Jones Town ?
  8. Agree with the Tremarco hook and start embedding Williams at left back. I would personally start Vigurs instead of Tansey but doubt that Yogi ever will. I will be surprised however if Draper starts after seeing how he finished at Killie - so I expect it to be Wedderburn and Tansey starting. Polworth is not a wide player and that is what we are really missing. Motombo is also not the answer. Again I don't think that it would happen but I would give Sutherland a chance. Rigs X1 will probably be Yogi's chance but it will all depend on the pitch, the weather, the wind direction and force !!
  9. Perhaps we should grasp the opportunity and sell them Kenny Cameron to manage their budget ?
  10. Draper ran the show up until he got injured. If we hooked Williams and Raven for injury protection on the surface then we should have done the same with Draper. I take it that was the reason that Vincent was not risked. So much fer our plans of constructing our own plastic pitch !! A bad day at the office it was - bad pitch, bad luck not so shure - bad tactics - no width, some players looking unsure of their roles - my biggest worry is Tansey as even a crippled Draper was looking for the ball and in possession of the ball more than Greg.
  11. Ach, 'twas said in jest. The lad has a lot of potential. He feels a bit like Marley Watkins and I don't think that he fits the bill (yet) as a lone striker. It will be interesting to see if the change in management at Swindon changes anything about the loan.
  12. The Scarf used to be a prolific poster. Jermaine never played fer us. Never heard of "Home Shirt" unless that is an AKA fer Dougal.
  13. I think some people are taking the Mick Mickey - Miles Storey is a waste of space.
  14. Will post my report later BUT too much tippy-tappy early doors, Draper should have been hooked long before the first goal, too reliant on the pace of Storey who got zero support, too many off days, late and baffling substitutions, great Jamie McDonald chant Johndo made a hash of adding his report, instead of posting it, he reported it and it was removed But here it is in it's entirety, warts and all.(tm4tj) Well that was my first game since Bucharest and Kilmarnock aint Bucharest BUT that was just as disappointing a display and a result - at least I survived it !! Great company as ever from Central Station and watched Tottingham with Jim the <my racist comment> in the pub before the game (not as enjoyable an experience in comparison to Rotterdam 1974) . Anyway things were looking good to start with - got in fer £15.00 at the over 60 gate - even though it must be obvious that I am in ma mid 40's - good away support as ever. We dominated the first 20 minutes but it was tippy-tappy stuff with NO penetration. Killie just sucked it all in with 8 players behind the ball. We did look dangerous when we fired in crosses and Devine, Draper and Meekings - in rank of probability - could have put us ahead. But we got the "sucker punch" - Draper should have been hooked on the half hour and why Yogi left him to hobble through the last 15 escapes me. Into injury time we give the ball away needlessly and pay fer it - Thought Yon Williams was slow down as well. Christie came close to an equaliser in the second half BUT in a TOTALLY forgettable second half we let Roy of the Rovers (or Hamish McSporran) to add to their tally. Storey and Mutombu could have brought us back into the game but they both fluffed their efforts. Killie had 5 shots and we had 3 across the 90 minutes - enuff said !! Taking Williams off fer Motumbu was baffling - leaving Sutherland to the last 10 equally so. Were we affected with the Arabs and Yogi nonsense only time will tell. DAVID WALLIAMS (3/5) - Does not inspire ME though DAVID RAVEN (2/5) - Shockingly poor game. His attempt to chase a great through ball in the second half reminded me of a similar Marius Niculae effort at Motherwell. Please tell me he was unfit and then why was he played ? DANNY DYER (3/5) - Looked solid but appeared to suffer as Josh had an off day JOSH MEEKINGS (2/5) - Not shure why but very, very hesitant - Missing Warren ? CARL TREMARCO (1/5) - Perhaps should play fer Tain. WEE WILLIAMS (2/5) - Not exactly shure where he was played. Lets just give him more time at left back PLEASE. CHARLIE CHRISTIES' SON (3/5) - Worked his feckin socks off and always looked/looks like the most likely. ROSS DRAPER (1/5) - Usually love the big man but he should have put his hands up and walked after the half hour when he was clearly injured and letting the team dowm - And Yogi should have hooked him too. GREG TANSEY (2/5) - Some great touches and passes too but where is he playing and why does he fade out of games ? LIAM POLWORTH (2/5) - Where exactly was he supposed to be playing ?? MILES STOREY (3/5) - Well the feckin Never Ending Story was the never ending punts to rely on his pace. He did OK but rarely had any support. As fer the subs VIGURS was my MOM - just in front of Christie - He is the one CLASS player that we have if not the most reliable. But that could mean either dropping Tansey or changing his role ?!! Mutombo is Lionel in disguise. Sutherland actually looks like the far better match fer Storey
  15. Kenny Camerons' Parsimonious Army are on the march - Cheap rail fares, admission fees and happy hour prices welcomed.
  16. Prefeckinsactly. Players stay or are more likely to resign when there is a sign of stability. There is always a fear of any new regime changing things or not liking individuals.
  17. Would be nice to see us have a manager who was treated properly in regard to contracts and given a bit of leeway. Hughes and Robertson were not on the payroll !! Of course they didn't give away the £100K - that would be gross stupidity. So why do you think that Yogi was tempted in the first place - and forget the money and geography.
  18. Foran = Cheap option + ICT Board = Another no-brainer
  19. If it was not for the reluctance of the board to sort out Yogi's contract and the striker situation we may not have ever reached this point. Seeking compensation was an absolute no-brainer. And to think that our misers are going to change their minds now and dish out what is probably needed is also a no-brainer. Yogi will undoubtedly continue to be professional but I doubt whether his heart is in it now.
  20. Two possible scenarios - Release Foran and use the money to give Yogi and Rice extended and improved contracts. Or hold Foran in waiting for the season long short term contract as Yogi seeks new pastures.
  21. See the stone set in your eyes; See the thorn twist in your side.
  22. 3/1 at Scotbet for this thread to last 12 pages.
  23. Perhaps it is not too surprising, then, that Paatelainen has sympathy for Hughes. The Finn, who spent a season and a half in the dugout at Leith, said: "Yogi (Hughes) is a very positive, whole-hearted guy and somebody who is very likeable. "It is unfair, I believe, to him because last season he did fantastically well. He guided the team to Europe. " Yogi will do a good job and I'm hoping that he will turn things round at Tannadice."
