  1. And the aftermath will be clear when it comes to updating contracts. But we have been here before and won through. Again just wish that there was that gist of communication as there has been in the past. And nice to see that the merger ostriches are still burying their heads in the sand and dismissing the obvious that "real" fans have been aware of since the onset. You can ignore if you want but attendances are significantly affecting ICT.

Good idea - I bet there are a few footballers who would come to us on the cheap.
  3. Sorry but in all seriousness that is not all about the location of the stadium - it has as much to do with the legacy of the merger. As I have said many times the "hatred" has been handed down and shared with friends. The animosity unfortunately lives on.
  4. Yes a sensible post from SP BUT if we are stuck fer Cash it does not need to share the books - a simple, concise statement of intent ( or otherwise) is essential. I will pose the question in the other section. And how are we going to attract or maintain the current fan base should an unfortunate demise occur ? To get people coming through the turnstiles there needs to be a degree of quality entertainment on show. BUT it is fair enuff to give everybody some breathing space both on and off the park. BUT falling behind at the start of the season has proven to be a difficult situation to redress. Personally I still feel that Yogi is looking for the more skilful type of forward and is ignoring the journeymen, the toilers, the "big" men and the poachers. If so that is the biggest mistake of all.
  5. Exfeckinactly
  6. I could accept the "cutbacks" if the financial situation was made clearer. I appreciate that there are mega financial pressures in running a club BUT last season must have brought in more money than ever before. So why the struggle. I also accept to a degree the reluctance to open the books to the public eye but WE really need an explanation.
  7. Aye the stands are needing somebody to get rid of that damn litter. Hate to say it but Warren may not be back until 2016.

The main positives are that we have fared well in a history making experience in top class European football against a relatively established European team. The whole adventure was relished. And in case anyone has not noticed we are only ONE game in to the current league season. It looks like expectations have gone through the roof. Let's face it - life will go back to normal for ICT supporters - given the current situation it may even go into a wee bit of a dive. It is at times like this that we need to cherish the good times but support rather than chastise. I would hope that our signing / loan situation has not come to a halt. If it does I also think that questions should be asked about the financial management and status of the club. Every time that we have gone into a slump in the last few seasons - usually in December - the doom merchant vultures circle the Longman. Me - I may well join the criticism if things are not turned round but that is 4-6 games away and is doable - and if it ain't fixed then I will get out the ceremonial knives.
  9. Suggested alternatives - Caley you are disappointing - Thistle you are sh!te
  10. If there was a "cash out" button I would hit it if we equalise !! What formation are we playing in - 5 at the back ?
  11. Sarcastic ****
  12. Have they been there since after the Astra game ?
  13. The first two months of Away Days fer the Englandshire contingency are a feckin nightmare - travel wise and then there is a veritable feast until pre Xmas. But the one that I am most interested in is the Dungwall game. But doubt it will be a 3.00 on a Saturday event - even if it should be. Friday nights appear to be a TV choice. When will a decision be made ?
  14. Best of luck lads. Go fer it and ignore the taunts of the sad sweetie rustlers. As fer me - my participation will be as an interested observer and not as an active participator
  15. Hail, Hail ( of bullets )
  16. Always more difficult to pick a team at the start of the season. It is not about performances. It is all about fitness and that judgement can only take place at training. We have a few who appear to be struggling pre season. I suspect Draper is an annual struggler !! Can see the logic in playing Lopez but not Mutumbo. Latter is on the bench as will be Draper and Foran. Will be interesting to see where he plays Williams but again I suspect that will be at the back as he has to get used to playing there. Tremarco is a mere back-up now. So it is Doran, Christie and A.N.Other or will he dare play three holding midfielders ? I think that he will.
  17. Yip nowt but praise especially for the lift home !!
  18. When we have lost two inspirational players and a coach of similar ilk. Getting a striker is a "must do". I feel that Yogi has been too rigid trying to find a more skilful centre forward to fit in to the system. I feel that this may be asking for too much and it may have to be the system that is tinkered with. It must be the same objectives as ever - avoid relegation, seek Top Six and another cup run. Anything else would be a bonus. But defence and midfield wise we have the experience and strength to win more than we lose. My only fear is that a lack of goals and more defensive performances may drive away any extras that we have probably recruited.
  19. Post all yer messages to and from Bucharest on here. Bye, Bye Chorley see you soon
  20. Don't worry Maarlon - I suspect the roar may well reach London
  21. I am the only one that is beginning to feel that this is BETTER than the Cup Final ?
  22. Hope they are colour co-ordinated like mine Can somebody please make shure that I don't end up travelling back to Bologna with The HeathmountCarrier.
  23. Training is as big a determinant as anything. You see all aspects up close -skill, fitness, potential but also personality and attitude. It is a bit like a prolonged interview. Players evidently need to fit into the system. And a Yogi is the Simon Cowell of a judging panel.
