  1. The horse is called Shergar and the jockey is Lord Lucan.
  2. If only games lasted for 15 minutes - exception being Parkhead. If only strikers were not allowed. If only every team had half its squad in the treatment room. If only we had a sugar daddy. If only the standard of officials was better. If only more people came to TCS and ignored what was on the menu. If only more people from Germany came to Sneck on holiday. If only every other team rarely signed new players and if they did they were mince. If only we could play Kilmarnock. If only we looked the better team despite every player being described as being poor or out of form. If only extra points were awarded for failing to hit the target over a period of 90 minutes. If only we had fans who would collapse before a game.
  3. That all depends on what Yogi views as "a right striker". I think that he is trying to avoid the target man style of striker. Personally that is what I think that we need.
  4. well written but frankly wrong. Nine, aye nine first team picks being out, but still picking up a wage means a weakened squad but not a lot of room to improve at least in the short term. Resigning people in summer after a successful season resulted in having to spend more just to stand still. We are losing games because our defence is decimated and our attack depleted. It's not being apollogist, just stating facts. We weren't too far off it for spells today. Thou does protest too much. Great excuse/probable reason and very, very valid but this was an issue well before the injury situation. But the "purchases" quite frankly have been panic buys and not what we needed / wanted. Yogi is clearly cheesed off - and is he under pressure to play the panic signings becos of pre-contract deals by agents - off course not and ma wee chirping birdie is shitt stirring as ever. Behind doors at ICT is more secretive and divisive as it has been fer ages. Where has the "earnings" of a special season gone ? Or have the so called Midmills saviours bowed out and called back their "donation" ? Sorry if I am talking uninformed drivel
  5. Let's just accept the sublime to the ridiculous ? At last some sanity from amongst the wailing and gnashing of teeth! When will people realise we never sold Shinnie, Watkins or Ross? We never received any money for them. These players/legends chose not to stay a long time ago and ran their contracts down. I have said before on here and on P&B that we have no God given right to be anywhere near the heights achieved last year. Those successes may only happen once in a lifetime and are to be savoured not expected. Although when bringing this up with some of our delusional and downright daydreaming fans who believe that we should be pushing on and not resting on laurels I have been accused of being a happy clapper! I would rather live in the real world and enjoy my club playing at the highest position possible than unrealistically expect to roll over all other teams at will and dream of the day which unfortunately will never dawn of ICT being kings of the world. We are going through possibly one of our most challenging situations but people should realise we will probably be in this current situation more often than not. Don't particularly like it myself but that's reality. That is one of the most negative posts around but it is a reality check. but also asks the question Why ? Which is not as clear and has not been answered.
  6. Perhaps peeple may consider posting In the prompt "ask the club"section ?
  7. Yogi ordered a special banquet last night from the newly opened Don't Beat Astra takeaway. He asked for something spicy up front. Apparently his Clubcard was declined due to lack of funds. He was also advised that the special Jamaican peas and rice were off the menu and the new plain Rice was dodgy and not a good bet. Yogi has apparently cancelled his New Year order as he does not expect to be living locally at that time. ICT officially declined to comment as they appear to be also doing in the "Ask the Club" section. The Highlands were ours unless we take back Rory and Bryan Prunty. That may not be as fruitful as playing Ferguson and Sutherland but perhaps more cost efficient and generally efficient than the panic buys at present.

  9. considering many on here have been saying how ***** ICT, yourself included are at this very early stage of the league, with injuries etc. I'd say you'd goto this away game & spend £125 as : against celtic, see ICT score 2 goals, see Lopez may be better than we've seen. Many more reason but most of all to support the team. Oh -,let us ALL be honest. That may well have been a case of damage limitation and an effort to try and keep the extent of the loss down - and we were lucky to get the result. BUT what about the faithful who really did go there to support. It was one of the only away games that I could have gone to for a couple of months. That could have cost me at least £125 and fer what. considering many on here have been saying how ***** ICT, yourself included are at this very early stage of the league, with injuries etc. I'd say you'd goto this away game & spend £125 as : against celtic, see ICT score 2 goals, see Lopez may be better than we've seen. Many more reason but most of all to support the team. Firstly I have not made any such comment or suggestion demonT - probably said more of what you do !! You evidently don't go to many away games as Parkhead is undoubtedly the worst fer many ICT fans - look at the numbers yesterday. And perhaps to simplify what I was actually alluding to I would have been furious if I had decided to go and see that starting X1 and the bench. Yogi has tried to shut up shop before at Parkhead and it resulted in similar, albeit worse. There is no way either that Christie or Lopez were carrying knocks. For Mary Hill to depart during a game says it all to me. To me you always play yer best team. And that to me is acceptable criticism. And my Ferrari is heavy on petrol but train or car is usually a £60 cost - the heavy £26 for sitting in a distant corner of Parkdread - and of course pre and post match libations and eateries.

  11. Reckon we may struggle to get a three figure following today. Worst away day by far.
  12. That'll be yer arse talking, then! Wish that it was and it wouldn't be able to watch.
  13. There is a big part of me that really does not want to watch ICT if Vigurs and Riordan are part of it.
  14. That may well not be a joke. it is beginning to feel more like a reality. Can you imagine those two running out at Cellic Park ?!!
  15. Feck me Don. Ya must have scooped a lot of spondoolachs. Pity it looks like they will be wasted on a couple of dodgy, unreliable plonkers. I would have preferred to christen the yoofs and there will be friction if those two waltz into the starting line up. Only the second time that I have doubted Yogi's wisdom. This may well be calling in old favours on the cheap but these two usually end up feckin things up.
  16. Most of what Collins said is true except that he bummed up Cellic to the heights of grandiosity. hail, Hail
  17. Question - would you have taken a point today before the kick off ?
  18. Jhesus it must be bad - got this picture of Don Taylor on the streets of Milan
  19. Unfortunately for many it is anything but numerically bleeding obvious hence my post. Apols if any knickers knotted. Was just making a respectful reference to an earlier post of yours. I'm not going to get involved in this kind of debate about the numerically bleeding obvious yet again because I seem to have spent much of the last 20 years explaining that half a pint isn't going to make a lot of difference when you're filling up a petrol tank. Unfortunately for many it is anything but numerically bleeding obvious hence my post. Apols if any knickers knotted. Was just making a respectful reference to an earlier post of yours. Never great to hear a manager taking a thinly-veiled swipe at his chairman in public. Clearly there are tensions there with Hughes acknowledging the need for further additions to his football squad versus the Chairman's desire to retain a prudent tight ship. I don't think it's a swipe at the board. It's just simply a manager making a plea to the chairman/board for a helping hand given the injury dilemma we find ourselves i Don't fret cos Charlie has never ever been in touch with the true heart of Inverness
  20. County are well subsidised by their new sponsor
  21. When you are trying to fill up a petrol tank and are struggling you need every drop available. And it is even more difficult that an old problem is blocking off the tank half way up. And there is no release button.
  22. As ever peeple have completely misinterpreted what I have said. I wholeheartedly agree that the refuseniks were living in the 70's and Highland football was on the decline. I also am saddened that so many Invernessians fail to support their local team. BUT Charlie and others are deluding themselves by ignoring the fact that many of the old Caley and Jags fans have poisoned their families and friends. Many sway them towards the Old Firm and others, casting up delusions of grandeur from the past. I a merely stating that the 500-1000 that are being sought are less in number than those who define ICT as a plastic creation and the "thou shall not support them" is the mainstay of their way of thinking that they are exacting revenge. But again more back on the original topic - I really appreciate some of the sarcasm that a Yogi has utilised previously but not when it appears that he is aiming it at the Board. Why should he have to go to the Press to get what he clearly wants. That is very concerning in itself and tends to suggest that all is not well at the Dump. Other than Yogi's "pleas" the silence is deafening.
