  1. Friar tuck in England and trying fecker in Scotland ? Could dougal be a gypsy cyberman ? And the sprout to compliment the roasters ?
  2. http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=GB#/watch?v=RoZ7JXkv6_o Dougal Typical gudgie humour !!
  3. I still smell of tar.
  4. "This season, I was probably guilty of running before Icould walk and pushing the players too hard, too soon. "Everyone has made mistakes this season, myself included." Perhaps there is hope ?
  5. That is a totally unbelievable statement and the type of un-ICT like attitude that is threatening to take this club down - Your Why should the club be commemorating his departure today? defies belief !! "I would need to speak to the manager next week and get some idea of how much I'll play a part next year" surely suggests that it has not been formally discussed AND "I don't think I have the divine right to start every week but I should definitely get the chance to do that and if not then I'll look to get out and play somewhere else. does not suggest that the ball is in his court - it suggests that he has had a - lets say "suggestion" - that he will not be being considered for a first team place next season.
  6. And why would Rosscoe choose the eve of the final game of the season to utter such a revelation. I can appreciate that he may well want to keep things more low key but he is a people person and has a total connection with the fans and I am wholly sure that he would not have chosen to leave / play his final game under such circumstances - and the club should not have even considered it. He states "The manager has made it clear he wants to keep me" which of course could be as a squad player, an influence etc, etc. And I can also appreciate that TB may consider that Rosscoe will not be a regular starter next season, with good reason - BUT - Rosscoe then declares "I would need to speak to the manager next week and get some idea of how much I'll play a part next year" and that really does not make any sense or connection. Surely to gawd that sort of conversation should have happened weeks ago - or perhaps we were thinking of next season in the SPL - which is just as shocking. His quotes are expanded in the Retard: Asked if he was hopeful of remaining at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium, Tokely said: "Yeah, we have got a few things to discuss and we'll see. "At my age I'm not wanting to be on the bench, or a squad player. "I don't think I have the divine right to start every week but I should definitely get the chance to do that and if not then I'll look to get out and play somewhere else. "I'll definitely fight for my place, if I'm not going to be a regular it won't be for me next year." Sorry but summat stinks here - and I fear that another local legend has been treated badly. If ever we needed a statement of clarity from official sources then this is it.
  7. Why oh why are the club continuing to drag out the misery of this season with yet another potential miscommunication ? Without a statement and a rationale the conspiracy theories can only abound. They were not so slow in trying to defend the Gavin Morrison story were they ?
  8. Surely - if this was going to be Rosscoe's final appearance - it should have been well publicised as, if it is true, it is a major milestone in the history of the club that should have been recognised. If this was suspected beforehand and not acted on it is simply a disgrace. Lets hope there is a plan for a pre season game to honour the legend if not. It is miscommunications like this that are dragging the club down.
  9. Are you suggesting that improvement on that is a big ask ?!!
  10. Well my first thought was why change it yet again - That is also not the type of move that encourages me that Golobart has a future with us and perhaps a sign that Proctor does. I would have to say that I am extremely disappointed that we have'nt given some of the yoofs an opportunity. Same old, same old - bring on 16.45 ish and bring this season to an end.
  11. "The manager has made it clear he wants to keep me, but my future is still up in the air," he said. "I've got to look at whether I'll play much of a part next year. I don't want to be one of those players just sitting on the sidelines. "I couldn't hack that for longer than a few games. I would need to speak to the manager next week and get some idea of how much I'll play a part next year. "A lot of it is obviously up to myself in terms of how well I do. But, in the past, other players here around the 33 or 34 age have ended up just sitting on the bench all season. I'm not the sort to do that." Slight contradiction in terms there !! Will be gutted if today is going to be his last game but I could understand why he does'nt want to be a squad player. I suppose Peterhead would be the favourites to pick him up.
  12. Here is some medicine :
  13. Simon Cowell has just announced that he will head up the panel accompanied by three emminent footballing gurus:
  14. Posted 20 August 2011 - 09:58 AM Being smack back in Pie Eating country and all the in laws being Wigun supporters I have some genuine inside knowledge here - especially from my brother in law who works at the stadium and watches all the reserve games. Unfortunately he describes Golobart as a skillful, typically Spanish defender who is very strong in the air and likes to play football from the back. He does also describe him as being a bit too cocky at times and prone to have lapses in concentration - and is a far better player when he has more experienced defenders around him. States that he could be deadly from dead ball situations. He has apparently just got into the first team squad due to his performances in training. He stands out in Wigan as he doesnt wears braces or buys his clothes from primark. Fairly spot on from ma bruv in law. The problem with some fans is that they expect "rookies" to slot in to the team, forgetting that the SPL is a big step up for them and their "flaws" are there to be shot at. The "good thing" is that, although Roman has progressed he is still a long way from EPL standard - and hopefully that may encourage Martinez to allow him to stay at least another six months.
  15. Shoulder dislocation can be one of the most nagging injuries - operations are seldom 100% effective - frozen shoulder or susceptibility to further dislocation are commonplace and that can evidently restrict exercise in regard to upper body strength and balance. That may sound depressing but he is a young lad and he may be able to fight through the pain.
  16. Ah me old mucker - you really need a word in the ear from Dr Johndo !! I realise that what you have written is heartfelt and I can truly feel that sense of "despair" in words - in a "searching" sense. I have had a similar "experience" this season. I have struggled to put my finger on the reason/s for the "demise" and after a fair degree of reflection and self analysis I have come up with a wee "formulation" which I will share with you as I suspect that you may share some of the content. Caley was a drug and ICT is the newer version. But it is a strange drug in the fact that it really has no consistent psychopharmacological action. It can be a stimulant, it can be a SSRI, it can be a beta blocker and yet it can also hit the reuptake inhibitor block and act as a depressant and even a major feckin tranquiliser. When you have a footballing bipolar illness you become dependent on the positive effects of the drug which consists of watching good performances, seeing the ball hit the back of the oppositions' net, results, points etc. This season has been "depressing" BUT like you have alluded to , my paramedic pal, the "review" of this season should consist of the "good memories" - albeit them few and far between. My serotonin levels rise again instantly when I recall the camaraderie on the pre season tour, the 6-3 whole day out at Killie and the Tade goal at Muversmell. And then again our jobs (or yours now ) in the NHS are "depressing" and we yearn for that wee weekend serotonin injection. I miss the craic before and after the games, yet I have to blame my own apathy as much for missing out on that. And when there are family issues they have to simply come first and watching that feckin red score line and scorer against us pop up regularly on Sky Sports, accompanied by a feckin Jeff Stelling jape, my feckin heart sinks and I look at somebody or something to blame (by the way dont watch Sky Sports with the puppy at your feet !!) And we are getting older !! The pilot light is like a dimmer switch - it just needs that wee touch to turn on the light/heat of enthusiasm again. But we need to look forward with a degree of optimism. Born Caley, Inverness Caledonian Thistle till we die Beware - Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.
  17. ahhh it only feels like yesterday. i was so confident.
  18. But wouldnt they all be too old now ?
  19. I suppose this time we had a reliable, specialist opinion. At such a young age that is truly sad and gut wrenching. If what has been said before is true this could clearly be the end of a more senior career - most clubs will not touch him with the proverbial barge pole.
  20. Fer fecks sake - it is the last game of the season. What you do is play one of them, preferably a forward or a wide player from the start, put three others on the bench, judge how the game is going and if you can - blood all three, irrespective of fer how long. SIMPLES - even Donview sussed it !!
  21. He is paired up with Paddy Salt over there in a combination akin to Hayes and Doran - the Irish supporter who I talked to, who had a bad cold, told me that on their own they are average but as a pair they condiment each other.
  22. His agent will be as delirious with that offer as denegrating he was at the ICT offer !!
  23. Cue the racism debate - especially from the English bestards !!
  24. To EVER contemplate the possibility of a clear three goal defeat at home is pure negativity - even the Old Filth !! If I was Fenlon I would be resting as many as possible as their money spinner is clearly the cup. The only thing that I will miss by not attending will be the opportunity to pay homage to the Highland Marchers.
  25. My Pie Eating brother in law suggests that Callum McManaman has been linked with a loan to a SPL outfit.
