If you were going to be critical Ridgers is dodgy on the cross ball and prefers to stay or punch. Could be a lack of confidence in that area or he has chosen the European style of goalkeeping. Spot on RIG. We may well have NOT got as many points if Robbo had gone down the "chop and change" route - as we have tried in previous seasons. You pick your starting first eleven in your head - you have to stick with them for the first 3-4 games (a bit like Fantasy Football) - you then give some playing time to the potentials on the bench - that should put pressure on everybody - those playing to play well enuff to keep their places and those coming on to impress. Then after a few games - which is probably NOW - you start looking at 1-2 maximum changes per game.

Sorry RIG but you are wrong. As you are aware I have been trying to highlight the Aquifer issue for many years. Fortunately my concerns have been investigated fully by SEPA (Scottish Environment Protection Agency). They have reported back formally to Inverness County Council. The report and its recommendations were presented to the local Environment Committee, highlighting that "A facility is needed because of new legislation banning the historic practice of landfill" and recommending that "the facility is legally required to be fully operational by August 2021". I understand that some councilor called MacWilliam has been given the lead in further communications with SEPA. I can even share some of the concerns raised in the SEPA report - "During periods of prolonged high rainfall, groundwater (which naturally flows towards lowlying areas) can rise to the surface and flood lowlying land and sub-surface structures. Groundwater flooding is rarer than river or coastal flooding and usually occurs in chalk areas. In regard to the Longman site there is a combination of coastal and groundwater flooding, probably due to the landfill practice utilized. Most modern landfills are highly regulated and operated to high standards, posing little risk of pollution to groundwater. Older and closed landfills, such as the Longman site, might cause localised contamination issues. The EU Water Framework Directive is a new piece of legislation. Its aim is for all waterbodies (river, lakes, estuaries, coastal waters and groundwater) to achieve ‘good status’ by 2021. SEPA recommends the use of Groundwater engineering, another name for hydrogeology, which is a branch of engineering concerned with groundwater movement and design of wells, pumps, and drains. Wells, pumps and drains require to be constructed on the Longman site as a matter of some urgency".

I am all for it as it could be a deterrent to the longstanding Aquifer problem.

Why can't youngsters these days not simply get chucked out for being intoxicated, loud mouthed or winding up stewards.

At the very least it will not happen, or be allowed to happen again. The people responsible know what the outcome will be and I suspect that many others know who they are. But if they choose to return then they should be confronted and if there is no remorse then it is a simple case of showing them the door permanently. I am not sure that they actually understand the damage that they have done to the clubs reputation.

May as well experiment in a Diddy Cup ? Yes as it will be good to see how some of the other squad players perform and there is evidently a lot for them to play for. Expect the Pars will do likewise but they are still in the League Cup.

Last comment on Polly but there are more immature eggs in every hatch. Would I be right in suggesting that the "abuse" was not a collective chant but the uttering a of the lemmings trying to be one of the boys. It should not be a case of banning them but an adult bollicking and future watching. It sounds as if the game was less than entertaining!!
