I will be mightly pi**ed off if we miss out on Rankin for the sake of the extra £10k or so we should have offered in January Maybe its a controversial suggestion but if we were offered say £250K for Dargo I think we should take it, maybe even sell Black as well if the money is on the table

You have to remember the other SPL clubs pay more than us!! Maybe Dargo has had a word though

Scrapping the farce that is the current offside law might make things easier - its one of the worst laws ever!! Put it back to the way it was - ok its not perfect but everyone understands it There's usually some new law brought into force by FIFA at the world cup - I wonder what pearl they have up there sleeve this time :?

Fernandez wouldn't be a bad signing for us - not that we could afford him. He'd certainly offer some skill and flair up front - something that Mr Brewster obviously doesn't want

The reason no one signed Rankin was County didn't want to sell there prize asset - he was under contract and they were quite prepared to play hardball unless they were offered silly money. He will go in the summer - there have been loads of scouts watching him. I just hope we haven't left it too late. I've seen Rankin play roughly 7 times this season - he's beeen VERY good in 5 of them, Ok in one and he was rubbish on Saturday but Ross County are just going through the motions now There is little difference between the top 1st divison sides and the bottom SPL sides, so he can easily make the supposed step up in class!! Most of our team are 'good 1st divison players' anyway - our strength lies in the fact we are a team cos lets fave it we don't have many skilful players

It always amuses me when people suggest we sign current SPL players. The simple truth of the matter is that we are not in a position to sign any SPL 1st team players. We offer less wages and most are reluctant to relocate up here. We have to look elsewhere, ie Lower Divisions, youngsters, Free Transfers and maybe the occasional SPL squad player

Think more than 1 or 2 deserve a run out In theory we should be safe for at least 8th

I think we should be resigned to the fact we'll probably lose 2, if not more players this summer :( It's all well and good getting money - finding the replacements and getting them to sign is the real challenge

Our former glorious leader is calling time on the DU careers of 3 of his big earners Derek McInnes, David Fernandez & Paul Ritchie have been told there days are numbered. No do we fancy any of them and will this free up wages for him to sign Ian Black, Darren Dodds & Craig Dargo?

I think Black would be the easiest Brewster target to replace. Rankin is as good if not a better player with the added bonus of posing a serious goal scoring threat Brown and Dargo howvere would leave a much bigger void and to a lesser extent Dodds It could be a nervous summer :roll:

The split did get us all excited for a few weeks I will admit that but now we are left with little to play for :( There is also the loss of revenue from home ties against Hibs & Celtic coupled with the fact that we play an uneven number of home and away games A bigger league would seem to be the sensible alternative which of course makes it unlikely to happen

I think its safe to say we will lose players in the summer though - still the grass isn't always greener on the other side!! Few that have left ICT have gone onto better things
