If brewster left (if only)
I agree with the previous 2 posters. Someone new is required.
-
Barry Wilson (Merged)
Wilson is contracted till January 19th but will be allowed to leave before them if he finds another team
-
If brewster left (if only)
Maybe all Brewster needs is a new 'lucky' hat to pull his team selections out of

Experienced forward required in January
Apparently Robbie Winters is training with Hamilton at the moment

Team for St. Mirren
I agree plus he says he has no problems about playing Duff there again in today's P&J. This will be my first away game in a long time and I'm looking forward to seeing our away tactics working first hand. The novelty of seeing us winning a game might be nice as well. Bet I jinx the team

Barry Wilson (Merged)
:o I am surprised that Wilson isn't being kept on in some kind of coaching capacity to be honest. During the interview I heard on Radio Scotland Barry mentioned asking Brewster about a coaching position. That was a year ago and he's still waiting for a reply!! There is an article in the P&J today about the quest to find a 'new' Barry Wilson P&J LINK Make of it what you will. I'm still puzzled by the logic of it

Contracts (Merged)
Missed this article in the P&J at the weekend. All is not lost..... Black happy to stay if... Basically Blackie is happy to stay if we up the current offer

John Rankin
I remember throwing a hissy fit when we forced Rankin out of the club. Bad management simple as that For those who seem to hold a different view of his departure you should read this article Rankin It quotes Bennet saying the following.... "John Rankin was told a while ago that he could leave the club, but things have changed since then and he is now very much viewed as an asset,"

ICT -V- Dundee Utd : matchday thread
Just read Brewster's comments on Teletext, apparently the supporters are partly to blame for the defeat yesterday The Terrors won 3-1 and Brewster feels home fans at the Caledonian Stadium let their anguish feed though to the team. He said: "If we had scored the crowd would have got a lift. Instead United scored. Sometimes the disappointment from the crowd filters through to the players and they get a bit nervy."

The tao of Craigy B
Forgive me as I have sampled a sip or 2 of quality red wine in an attempt to try and numb some of the pain from yet another ?awesome? home performance from the team I love. Earlier in the week I read a fascinating article in the Highland News from our incumbent manager alluding to the fact that I as a member of the general public didn?t understand his tactical genius. I hold my hand up now and agree I don?t. Imagine my surprise when I learned that ?. "Many goals are scored these days when you have the ball, you lose it and the opposition go down the park and score. At times, the general public don't realise or understand that.? Foolishly after 37 years on planet Earth I thought goals came from under the gooseberry bush!! Obviously what do I know, I don?t have a UEFA pro coaching licence!! However, I do have a cycling proficiency badge but sadly to date I have still yet to win the Tour De France! Then again as alluded to by Mr B sometimes we home fans need a reality check - imagine seeing Caley Thistle win a home game against anyone else other than Kilmarnock!

Barrow load of rubbish
Hastings was one of our best players today
-
Jamie Duff at right back
Imagine before the game you are given the team list & formation how do you envisage the team will line up.... Esson Proctor Duff Munro Hastings Duncan Cowie Black Vigurs Imire Barrowman but what you get is Esson Duff Proctor Munro Hastings Vigurs Imrie Duncan Black Cowie Barrowman Other than putting Barrowman in goals how wrong could it have been?

ICT -V- Dundee Utd : matchday thread
It's days like today you wonder why you bother going along to games. I'm cold, tired, hungover and thoroughly fed up!! It was a pretty even first half but after the break United stepped up a gear and when they got the first goal it was game over. Can't even be bothered to comment much more on the match. I think the money I've put aside for next years season ticket will be going into the fund for a new TV as I'm not going to waste much more of my time or money going to watch that guff

Some GOOD news for ICT
For those of you who haven't seen or don't read the Inverness Courier Flybe extend Caley Thistle sponsorship An extra ?250,000 could come in handy
-
who would replace them?
Another question to ponder is whether we should try and sell the players concerned in January should they decide to move on or let them go for nothing in the summer? Saying that we would be entitled to some compensation for Black as he is still under-24
-
story here Yeah I read the article and for the life of me I can't think of which Rangers player was at Euro 2008!!! The article also states Scottish clubs got a total of ?359,196, which, if you subtract the Celtic money (?272,989) leaves ?86,207

Contracts (Merged)
The BIG difference in this scenario is that Black & Cowie will actually be coveted by other clubs. The players hold all the cards now. They just have to wait a few weeks and see what offers come there way. Certainly in the case of Black things might have been different if we'd offered him a long term contract in the summer. Too late now of course!! Nothing we can do now other than to keep our fingers crossed. If we lose both of them we are in serious trouble.

Tokely suspended for 2 games
Who marks Wilkie then?
-
Tokely suspended for 2 games
According to the P&J Rossco will miss the games against Dundee Utd & St Mirren. His 'fans' down at Love Street will be devastated Could prove to be a bit of a problem against DU considering the height of some of there players!

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : matchday thread
Wish I'd kept my mouth shut now!! Thought the game was over. Are they running late?
-
Kilmarnock -V- ICT : matchday thread
Are Kilmarnock the only team we can beat? Looking good for a much needed 3 points. Didn't expect anything from today's game so I'm pleasantly surprised to say the least!

Why cant he do it in the first team?
Brewster is bigging up Rory in the P&J today after his midweek exploits (Zander also given a big thumbs up). It will be interesting to see if he features at all tomorrow

Experienced forward required in January
You know things must be bad when your hear folk say that I don't think Bayne is any better or worse than the strikers we have now. He isn't exactly setting the 1st Division on fire. I think him and Hart are more at there level where they are now. Let's just hope we won't be jouing them next season
-
Home Form
I wonder how many half season tickets they will manage to sell with things currently the way they are?
-
Experienced forward required in January
How about Gary Wales who is only on a short term deal at Raith Rovers? Not exactly prolific and a bit injury prone but he has loads of SPL experience, is within our price range & is still under 30 (I think)
