Hamilton -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
It's much easier these days just to expect defeat. That way you are never disappointed How much longer is this going to be allowed to continue??

Hamilton Game (merged)
Hand on heart I truly hope all those making the effort to go to this game get the reward they deserve! Kudos to you all. I shall be going to watch Barry tear County a new one tomorrow (well hope springs eternal)

Rory
I saw him play for Peterhead against County last season and he was woeful. Blown off the ball by the slightest contact. Not tough enough for even 2nd division football I'm afraid
-
Kerr Released
Doesn't really sound like 'mutual consent' though does it!
-
Kerr Released
Kerr in the P&J today sounding rather less than impressed LINK
-
Man City
It's crazy. Totally unsustainable without there backers!! Gretna on steroids!!
-
So, as it stands...
Not according to the P&J today..... "McAllister and Djebi-Zadi will then be allowed to leave when their contracts expire in the summer, although no decision has yet been made on Sutherland, who was on loan at Elgin City last season." Most of us realised Rory wasn't good enough several years ago and now he has to do a 'Prunty' and drop a couple of divisions and rebuild his career
-
Elvis
He was loaned out to St Johnstone who he also cannot get a game for!!
-
ICT sign Richard Byrne
:thumb04: I'm sure he'll have pulled his hamstraing signing the contract!!
-
Trialists (merged)
Vladimirs Kolesnicenko and Ryan Harper won't be offered contracts - P&J
-
ICT Sign Mihadjuks
A decent debut but he will need to be judged on performances against big strikers we have recently struggled against and not Particks Oompa-Loompa forward line

Crowd prediction.
Very decent turnout from the Partick Thistle fans. Probably 400-ish

ICT -V- Partick : Matchday Thread
That was a great result on a truly horrible day for football. I'm only slowly regaining the feeling in my feet! I don't think anyone should get too carried away though because Partick Thistle were RANK rotten. Still you can only beat who you are up against and given the conditions and the referee it's a job well done. For those who stayed away you missed a truly comedically bad display from Djebi-Zadi. Words really cannot describe how bad he was. I can't see him ever playing for us again. Let him go and free up some wages Cracking goal from Vigurs and quite a debut for Morais who seemed to be given a free role today. Hopefully that should boost confidence for next weeks crucial fixture

ICT Sign Mihadjuks
Let's hope he is good. He seems to have been signed up very quickly!!
-
Trialists (merged)
He was one of the 2 players that Chester suspended!
-
Trialists (merged)
According to Soccerbase Wigan paid ?750,000 for him, albeit several years ago!!
-
Hibs Duo (merged)
It also says 'undisclosed' rather than loan on the BBC transfer thingy plus I found this quote on the Sky Sports website....It's up to our director of football Graeme Bennett to iron out the final details regarding contract lengths, but we've reached agreement with Hibs," said Brewster in the Daily Record.

We want a cup run
Would it be fair to say that tomorrow?s cup game against Partick is a lose-lose situation for Brewster? In theory we should win this game but the manger is unlikely to get many plaudits because it?s lower league opposition. However, should we draw or dare I say it lose it?ll will just add more fuel to the flames calling for CB?s head. Whilst I have my rational head on today I?ll happily admit to much rather having 3 points against Hamilton next weekend over cup progression tomorrow. Should be an ?interesting? game. 1 home win all season V 2 away wins!
-
Hibs Duo (merged)
Judging by some of the comments above the general consensus appears to be that we have signed a defender who can't defend and a wide midfielder who can't cross!!
-
OF Clearout
Burke to Cardiff apparently
-
Hibs Duo (merged)
Neither has played for months and both have poor disciplinary records. Looks like Donald Park is No 2 on the speed dial after Ross County

Well after Cowie
I feel a real pro will always give 100% to the club paying his wages, but what happens if the scenario arises where Cowie has signed a pre contract with Well and ICT are playing them in bottom 6 decider, will he quite as intent on securing points for ICT knowing next seasons footballing destinations may well hinge on it.We had this scenario with Derek Lyle last season signing a pre contract with Hamilton and the possibility till near the end of season we could be playing Accies in final game for title, this caused a huge amount of dissent and discontent amongst the support and i'm sure the dressing room. Unfortunately it looks like Motherwell are easing there way from the bottom now. A good win for them tonight and it's starting to look like a 3-way race for the drop

Kris Boyd To Birmingham?
Surely they would be crazy to sell Boyd!!! Say what you like about his work rate, etc he scores goals!!

SPL Reserve Teams To Be Scrapped?
Taken from Teletext today.... The Scottish Premier League have confirmed they are considering scrapping reserve football next season. Top-flight reserve football has been part of the game for more than half a century and its abolition could see up to 100 players released by SPL clubs. SPL marketing and communications manager Greig Mailer said: "It's a little too premature to say it will be scrapped but it's under review."

1st Division (one year only!).
Interesting to read today that Partick Thistle may have to go part-time next season as they cannot attract enough supporters to break even. Apparently there average crowd is 2,500 with 3,500 being the required figure. We would certainly struggle to reach those numbers without the OF and Aberdeen games to inflate our attendances
