Things can only start getting better from here on in (I hope). Other than MAYBE Imrie we don't have anyone else in the squad that other teams would want so we can start the building process and start adding some faces. HUGE task facing the management team, I just wonder if they are up to it?

Today's P&J seems to confirm what most of us already suspected that Kerr, Foran, Morais & Odhiambo are offski. P&J LINK Basically says Bennet has admitted defeat in trying to keep Morais and Foran and he believes that Kerr & Odhiambho are off as well. Unsurprisingly there hasn't been any interest in Proctor, McBain & Djebi-Zadi (I wonder why?) and he expects them to sign on the dotted line. Whoopee

IF it's the same as last year the teams are divided into 2 sections: North+East and South+West with one side (at random) in each section receiving a bye to the 2nd round. Ties to be played on July 25th

I think it's safe to say that Foran & Morais will be away as I don't think they will be short of offers. Kerr & Odhiambo are at best maybe's and Proctor, McBain & Lionel will doubtless stay as no one else will want them

TB said in the paper yesterday there was no real deadline but as we start pre-season training on June 29 it'll have to be sooner rather than later

I think both players and fans are going to be in for a big surprise next season. The 1st division is an ultra competitive league with very closely matched teams battling it out from start to finish. If we adopt the attitude that we are 'better' than the teams already there we are in trouble. Everyone is going to raise there game when they play us and it's going to be a long, hard season

It has to be Butcher & Malpas judging by the players who have been offered new deals ie the only players that have played other the last few months!! No guarantee those offfered deals will sign them of course!! I had assumed that the (crap) football we had been playing over the last few months was just a means to an end and was just a style adopted to try and survive in the SPL. It appears though that it's actually going to be the way our management team intend us to play!!! Depressing
