Andrew Greig (No 18 tonight v Clach)
Height shouldn't matter if he has the talent and ability. Sadly the British game is more and more focused on big, strong 'athletes' whose technical skills are of secondary importance.
-
Stuart Duff
Pity I had hoped he'd leave. Doubt any other SPL club would have offered him a contract though

Player Contract Status
Let's hope so he's p**h

Positions/Players Needed for Next Season
Apparently we are being linked with Gary Irvine ex-St Johnstone/Ross County/Dundee/Celtic full back. Certainly aggressive, kind of on the small side but gotta be a better bet than McCann. Irvine Link

County appoint new manager
Calderwood was interested in staying as long as the board were willing to back him for a tilt at promotion. Guess this decision reflects their ambitions

County appoint new manager
The prodigal son returns. How many games is he currently banned for? Outwith reaching the cup final his managerial record is incredibly mediocre

ICT -V- Hibernian : Matchnight Thread
P**s poor game that we won at a canter. Sodje is a tool. If you can't take it you shouldn't try and dish it out

Hamilton officially relegated
Shame both of them couldn't go down. Awful teams
-
ICT -V- St Mirren : Matchday Thread
Dreadful game but we deserved the win. The battle between Duff & Goodwin to see who has the worst player on the park was the only thing of note that happened in the first half, Goodwin winning by the fact he injured himself whilst hacking down Eric. Despite going down to 10 we never looked in danger and could have won by more had it not been for St mirrens standout performer the crossbar

Club Statement on Player Departures
Half those leaving are Butcher signings so he is far from infallible identifying talent. He'll need to unearth a few more Hayes rather than Blumenshtein's
-
Radio Scotland tonight
It's obvious from the discussion they don't realise McBain & Golabek are veterans

Club Statement on Player Departures
Just read the Inverness Courier online. It says 9 players will not be offfered new contracts.... Eric Odhiambo, Dani Sanchez, Chris Hogg, Gil Blumenshtein and Max Johnson today joined Grant Munro, Russell Duncan, Stuart Golabek and Roy McBain in being told they would not be kept on It also mentions......Adam Rooney, Stuart Duff, Kenny Gillet, Gavin Morrison and Shane Sutherland have received new contract offers, while Ross Tokely triggered a clause in his contract that will keep him at the club for at least another year CLICKY LINK

Club Statement on Player Departures
As an aside I wonder if there is any good reason why this was down now? Obviously there is no good time to tell someone they are not needed but we still have 4 games to go and 7th place is still up for grabs. Surely morale has to be affected??

Russell Duncan & Grant Munro leaving
I'm more concerned Butcher rates Duff higher than Duncan and Gillet/Shinnie are left backs whilst Munro is a centre back!! As for the 3 young players you've mentioned I'm not sure how much progress they've actually made. Shinnie is definetly a battler but he's still very raw, Ross does have some potential but he still flatters to deceive and is still painfully lightweight whilst the more I see of Sutherland the more I think Rory McAllister II (although he deserves some games actually as a centre forward!!) For every good player Butcher has signed there was been a turkey and whilst Duncan & Munro might be of limited ability they have at least experience, heart and passion for the club.

Russell Duncan & Grant Munro leaving
Duff getting a new contract is laughable.
