If we are going to persevere with this 4-2-3-1 formation then for me Ducan & Cox have to be in the defensive midfield positions. Granted Cox had lost form prior to his injury but I think a lot of people forget he's still only 20. Duff is McBain reincarnated running about all game contributing nothing and I think the games are understandably starting to catch up with Nick Ross plus he's not really suited to a central role just yet anyway.

We had plenty of chances to score but just can't buy a goal just now Should have been 10 v 10 after the tackle on Shinnie and it's no concidence the right back didn't come out for the second half. Hopefully Hayes isn't too badly injured and new guy showed a few nice touches

He was OK in the first half but a couple of cracking corners were pretty much his only contribution. Lots of ambitious passes, crosses and free kicks were attempted though. What was more apparent was how bad Rooney was. Looks like a shadow of his former self. What annoys me the most is how the commentators and pundits refuse to criticise anything he does. It's always 'that's not like him' etc rather than stating how obviously out of form he is. The wee mexican lad is a cracking player though

Looking at the table I'd say there are 5 (possibly 6) teams going for the final 3 top 6 places. We've played more games than all of them and I just can't see us being any higher than 7th by the time they catch up. Couple that with our remaining fixtures and I don't see us getting enough points to get back up there. Losing to St Mirren & St Johnstone & yesterday's draw have done too much damage.

I think it's pretty safe to assume we won't be in the top 6 this year. Best we can hope for now is 5 meaningless games after the split watching others go through the horrors of a relegation battle.

More grim viewing for the home fans at TCS. Thought we probably edged the first half but the timing of the penalty was a real blow. Will be interested to see it on the hilights as it looked like a soft decision and the Hamilton players in general love a dive. Hamilton were slightly the better team in the second half and one of the Jedward twins had a great chance to sneak the win. Hopefully Butcher will finally drop Odiambho from the starting lineup as he is a liability and Duff can join him in the stand as well as he's a waste of space, surely Duncan did more than enough today to earn his place back Positives, hmmmm....Hayes got a wee run out and we didn't lose & that's about it

If Rooney was under contract then i would expect him to worth at least the same if not more than Connor Sammon. Unfotunately he is not under contract and fees of around £100k - £150k are being banded around. Too many times this club have missed out on potential transfer fees because we have not players tied to contracts. We should have had Adam tied to a contract long before now. Not only would it guarantee us a transfer fee if he decided to move but we would not be left in the middle of the season with the problem of replacing our primary goal threat. If correct that's a pretty decent offer Killie have rejected considering Sammon is also out of contact in the Summer
