  1. Given Odhiambho's recent form I assume he started today because of how he played against United 7 months ago!!! Some of our managers decisions are strange.
  2. Poor defending cost us dearly. Ledley was given so much time & space for the first it beggars belief. Did he get the 2nd as well? Whoever it was had a free header as we played musical statues. I'd have hoped we might have gone hell for leather to get an equaliser with 20 minutes to go but it wasn't to be and in the end we went out with a whimper. Thought Duncan was immense in midfield tonight (and was my MOTM), Esson bar one dodgy clearance was his usual reliable self, Rooney put in a hell of a shift with little support & Foran had a very good spell in the second half. Unfortunately we also had Stuart Duff in our team and he was rank rotten. How he gets picked week in week out is a mystery. If he's not passing to the opposition he's passing it out of the park. :irritated: What has Butcher said by the way? All I've heard on the radio is Chick interviewing the entire Celtic team in turn!!
  3. Heard Alan Thompson on the radio last night saying Celtic are flying up for the game. Lucky for some!!
  4. Came across this in the Evening Times LINK If true it's good news for the other 6 quarter finalists as apparently the £170,000 Sky money that would have been split between us & Celtic now goes into a pot and is divided amongst the 8 teams
  5. Hamilton started with Imrie at left back

BBC gossip section (who call him Ian Rankin!) says he won't be offered a new contract. I'd love to see him back up here but I can see him ending up at the likes of St Mirren . Thoughts?
  7. Hamilton up next for Utd can't see them not winning that
  8. I think most supporters are realistic enough to accept we are a bottom 6 SPL side with avoiding relegation being the main priority. Some folk got over excited with the early season form and I think others are over reacting to our recent dip as well. Overall it's been a pretty decent campaign so far. Reading the Courier today it would seem there has been a big clear-the-air talk between the management and players so I'm expecting hoping to see a reaction out on the pitch tomorrow

Wilson as well Shame Rangers lost they'd only have about 9 players available
  10. What, even with Barrowman? Yip he's nabbed an impressive 2 league goals this season making him their (equal) top scorer. If they apply the same rationale to Calderwood's tenure as they did McStay's then he has 6 games to save his job and could be sacked by the end of the month
  11. I can't be the only one who thinks our squad structure is odd. We have no designated right back, 4 central defenders and 3 left backs one of which sits on the bench whilst a centre half plays in his position!! IF Golly is past it why's he still at the club? Of course it's not just Golly, players like McBain & Blumenshtein have contributed nothing this season and even when fully fit in the midst of an injury crisis aren't used. There is no room for sentiment in football and with a limited budget how can we afford passengers?
  12. Lowest scoring team in the UK apparently
  13. We took hoofball to a new level tonight. Munro & Tokely distribution was pathetic
  14. Can't argue with the result as United were the better team but I was sure Goodwille pushed Innes over in the build up to there first goal. Things might have turned out differently had Foran coverted Hayes brilliant cross early on but their keeper made a great save and that was pretty much Hayes contribution for the evening. Can't believe the amount of aimless hoofing coming from the feet of Munro & Tokely it was actually embarrassing at times and it just invites more pressure as we gift possession to the opposition. Thought Esson & Cox were OK but Duff was truly p**h. Why Duncan gets dropped at his expense is another Butcher mystery On a lighter note it was nice to hear 'the voice of the Mysterons' has a new gig on the PA at ICT

BBC says Hayes is out LINK Given the players available in defence why doesn't Butcher go..... Tokely Hogg Munro Golabek That way no square pegs in round holes
  16. Our form has been pretty dire since Xmas and sadly we are only heading in one direction
  17. Munro was playing at left back today?
  18. Pretty comfotable home win Why Butcher starts Odiambho is beyond me
  19. Dreadful first half with little or no football played and obviously Rossco's bullet header being the only highlight. After the break we bossed the game but St Johnstone were truly hopeless only matched in their ineptitude by the clown refeering the game. Doubt we will get an easier 3 points this season
  20. Might turn out to be a decent appointment. Certainly got his work cut out for him
  21. It was a terrific goal but the rest of his display was pretty hopeless
  22. Given the situation they find themselves I'd have thought they'd be looking for someone with experience
  23. Heard that McStay has left the building after less than 3 months in charge!! Wonder if Brewster is free?

Only caught the end of the story on Radio Scotland but it sounded like Hayes was to have an operation on his injured ankle. Perhaps someone else heard the full story?
  25. Yip I would take Rangers
