  1. Good to see Billy Dodds knows all the facts before he writes them! Apparently we are still in the Scottish Cup : http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...rem/7953179.stm I would prefer the win than the draw he has us down for. Apologies if you tried the link before and it took you to Harry Hill! I'm a muppet!
  2. I wanted Hamilton to get relegated so badly when we got beat down there but now Steven Pressley has almost single handedly changed my mind to Falkirk. So glad he never came here. He's a dirty, dirty player and I am bemused as to why he has a coaching position in our national squad. I think John Hughes is a good character to have in the SPL and until now he has taken the club a lot further than a lot thought.
  3. Yeah it wasn't Russels best move ever was a bit stupid. I was more disgusted at our national team coaches (Pressley) blatant cheating and time wasting skills that he had. Some people might just say he was being clever and using experience but I think it's disgraceful. He even lost out on a challenge in the box once went down holding his head and waited for the ref to stop play then got up! Bunch of dirty cheating twats the lot of them! Can't wait for our trip down there in the league! Also did anybody else notice a Falkirk player throwing a punch in the melee of the Duncan incident? Don't know who it was but the ref was talking to Duncan at the time and missed it.
  4. I'm just interested to know whether what has been one of the worst seasons ever may actually turn out to be one of our best seasons ever. We are still in the relegation fight and the Brewster era of the season was bad times in terms of football etc. However if we were to avoid relegation and get to the first Scottish cup final in our clubs history where would it rank in your experiences of following the club? If we made a Scottish Cup final and maybe even won it I think I would have to put it up there with the first Celtic game and winning promotion/the Bells Cup. But I think I'd also need us to stay up too. If that happened it would be magnificent. We would be in Europe then another first for the club. Don't worry I'm not getting ahead of myself I know it's all if's and buts just looking at the potential that has emerged into what was dire times not too long ago. I'd happily settle for keeping our SPL status it's just nice being able to think that we can challenge for things again like we have done in the past.
  5. I'm feeling positive I'm going for 6 points and a visit a to Hampden. :thumb04:

I don't think we have missed not playing Vigurs. He is good don't get me wrong but I feel the players playing are doing well at the moment. I have heard that he was offered a few rubbish deals or what he considers rubbish deals however are any other SPL sides going to offer him more or would a lower league team offer him more? I think neither would in all honesty. I agree with the above posts we need the physical midfielders grafting at the moment. Vigurs will hopefully stay as he has plenty of potential.
  7. Or Diego's v Perth. There will be a live stream some where you can watch it live on the net, done that before. I'll find out and toot le fruit let you know. Back on the bus but no drinking till perth Mon the penguins!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me know if you find anything to watch it on. Steaming in for 3 points tomorrow!!!!
  8. Thanks! Wish Setanta would start to change the fixtures they show it's always the same! Even Hearts vs Motherwell would be different!
  9. Will there be live coverage on the radio of the game or will it just be open all mics? Wanted to go to this one but couldn't find any trains or buses coming back to Aberdeen after the game.

Ceske Bairn the Chieftain is still there as far as I know. Deenos is gone now though. I'd personally like to see Hamilton relegated though it looks unlikely this year. I think they are a bunch of cheats, they are boring to watch and their fans seem to think they have some sort of divine right to be in the SPL. They just generally get under my skin. A bit like Aberdeen and the old firm. A win for us tomorrow I predict and I think we might get a good home crowd this weekend and for the cup game next week. Just got a feeling.

I can see where you are coming from about taking an active part however coming to the game especially the distance/time taken to travel down and paying for his ticket is surely supporting the team. If he has bought any merchandise then he is supporting the team. Even just taking a keen interest in the club I would class as supporting the club. It is after all his first game and he is asking questions on here trying to find out what the vibe is at the stadium. Im not always up singing and clapping I enjoy watching the football that may not be everybodies preferred choice but I don't consider myself to be any less a supporter because of that.
  12. Crazy costs for a part time footballer earning 200 quid a week to pay back. If he is guilty though he's got nobody else to blame but himself and apparently he knew what would happen if he lost the case. Stranraer could end up being even worse off if he takes civil action against them and Tade for defamation of character: http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/ho...icle2251848.ece YOU OWE US 18 MONTHS WAGES KEVIN FOTHERINGHAM has been handed a whopping ?17,000 legal bill by the SFA after taking them to court ? and losing. The East Fife defender went head-to-head with the game?s governing body to try and clear his name after he was accused of racially abusing Stranraer star Gregory Tade. But the move backfired when a Judicial Review in December came down on the side of the SFA ? and left the 32-year-old part-timer facing a massive bill. The player, who earns around ?200 a week, was already facing costs of around ?14,000 for his own defence, which the Second Division side have contributed to. But yesterday it emerged he has also been ordered by the SFA to pay their full legal costs ? which amount to more than 18 months? wages ? on top of his own. And the move has been slammed by East Fife chief executive Sid Collumbine, who insists a big-earning SPL star would NEVER be treated in such a manner. He said: ?The SFA are claiming ?17,000 for their legal expenses and how they can do that I don?t know. There is no way the laddie can afford that. ?Where is a Second Division part-time player going to find ?17,000? It?ll take him 20 years to pay it off. ?We tried to help Kevin with the costs of his own defence. He?s a part-time player and a family man and will need to pay this up for a very long time. But they don?t care because we?re a Second Division club. If this had happened at a more senior club it would never have been allowed to go this far.? SFA Chief Executive Gordon Smith told SunSport last night he had sympathy for the situation Fotheringham finds himself in. But he also insisted that both the player and East Fife were well warned about the consequences of taking the SFA on in court ? and what would happen if they lost. He said: ?I understand this is a difficult time for the player. ?But I must stress that both he and East Fife were warned well in advance of the Judicial Review of the implications involved. ?And at that point it was pointed out to both parties that if he was to lose the case then he?d be held responsible for the costs.? Fotheringham, 32, was initially handed an eight-game ban by the SFA last January after being found guilty of racial abuse towards Stranraer star Tade, now at Clyde. He was alleged to have called the Frenchman a ?black b******? but immediately appealed the decision with the backing of his club. The SFA rejected the appeal in August but Fotheringham, believing the disciplinary process was flawed, then took the matter to the Court of Session in November. There it was ruled that he had been given a fair hearing and that the game?s beaks were entitled to dish out the ban. Fotheringham has now sat out seven of the eight games but is now considering a new course of action in a bid to recoup some of the cash he owes the SFA. He could even launch a civil court action against Tade and Stranraer in a last-ditch bid to try and prove his innocence. That could threaten the very existence of the cash-strapped Stair Park club, but Collumbine admits it is one of the only options left open to the player. He said: ?Kevin is looking into the possibility of Civil Court action against Tade and Stranraer with regard to defamation of character. ?The last thing Kevin wants or anyone here wants is for Stranraer to end up suffering because of this given the situation they are in. ?But under the circumstances he feels he doesn?t have much of a choice but to try and recoup the money he?s been billed for.?
  13. It seems that Butchers policy is play well and you keep your place slacken up and you are dropped. Fair enough I think. It means that Black and Duncan could face what Hastings is facing at the moment with everybody desperate to play now(Djebi-Zadi in this case). Rooney will definately get a start before the split I think and if he does well then he should be starting the next game after that. He's still a young player I think it is important to remember so he still has a lot to learn as good as he is already.
  14. Thanks again for taking the time to answer mine and all the other questions. I do have more but hopefully you will be back again in the next few months. Good luck with everything you are doing at the moment and hopefully you will be back managing again soon.
  15. Obviously football is your biggest passion but what else do you love? If you weren't a footballer/manager was there anything else you would have liked to have been?
  16. Hi Robbo Thanks for replying to my last question. Are you looking forward to the Scotland game next month and do you think we have a good enough squad of players available to take something from the game? If the opportunity arose would you take an international job like Bobby Williamson and Csaba Lazslo have done in the past or are you wanting to get back into the day to day management?
  17. Hi Robbo Do you think that Inverness is beginning to become more attractive to players such as the Forans/Kerrs/Morais' etc that are looking to kick start their career again than in the past? I feel it is beginning to get an even stronger image as the place to go to either build a career or put yourself back in the shop window. Would you agree with this or do you think the managers (Terry & Craig) influence play a larger part in the players coming than the actual club and city itself? Obviously the manager is always going to play a part however I just feel that the old it's too far north thing is beginning to get a little bit better.
  18. I'd go for the same team as the Kilmarnock game with Vigurs or McBain in for Black. Don't think Kerr is match fit yet. Also think Duncan is an integral part of the team. His passing isn't amazing but he gets the dirty work done with no fuss and he does it well. Also tell Mihadjuks not to play too well don't know if I could handle him signing for Dundee Utd at the end of the season losing one Machine to them is enough for anyone!
  19. Yeah Jim Jefferies wasn't impressed was he. In all fairness to the ref and linesman the snow was okay at first and even though pretty constant it wasn't lying except a short burst of thick snow that settled on the pitch in a very short amount of time that caused the problems but I can see where he's coming from. I'm just glad Fernandez didn't get away with his cheating. The Motherwell guy doing the punditry made the valid point of saying the lines could have been gone over again in an orange paint in anticipation to the snowy weather this week like was done for their game with Inverurie. Bring on Hamilton would love us to get them and send them packing out the cup. Hopefully they will get shipped out the league not too soon after!
  20. Definately was not a penalty. The snow actually helped the ref decide that it was not a penalty I think. The mark where Mihadjuks slid in was a good 3-4 yards away from where Fernandez fell. He was not tripped either he just fell and tried it was him who tried to con the ref in my opinion. Pretty good performance especially from Lionel who seems to have a whole bag of samba skills tucked away that we never knew about.
  21. According to this brief report in the P&J it looks like we played okay but lacked the goals again. http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1061634 As mentioned before though there are a lot of players that haven't played for a while. As long as we beat their first team on Saturday I will be happy.
  22. Dunno if he does or not but I don't think he's set for life either way.
  23. All I can think of is he had the cushion of not risking his health while managing a club and getting paid for it but he now has to make a living. Being a coach/manager again doesn't look likely in the near future and being a footballer is what is natural to him so maybe the risk is worth it now. If that makes any sense at all.
  24. I'm gonna go with what I saw in the Courier if that is a good thing! Near to 100 thousand pounds it says he went for. It also tells of how it was Cowie's decision to leave before the summer and that the club were wanting him to stay but he was keen to go now instead. Good luck to him anyway hope he does well and is still playing in the Championship next season. It's a pretty decent move I thought he was going to end up at a club like Dundee Utd or Motherwell.
  25. I never thought I would ever see Landon Donovan trying his luck in Europe again although he has apparently been saying for a while now in America he wants another crack. Although nothing is certain he has been training with Bayern Munich and they seem impressed with him http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story...os3&cc=3888 Don't know what to expect from him he plays well internationally and for LA Galaxy but playing in Germany over 2 spells seemed to be his downfall. Hope if he does get a chance at Bayern (long term or short term) he does well as he seems to be persistent at succeeding there.
