League Cup Semi Final v. Hearts Build Up
Hey I have a Hearts friend who was asking if I could let everybody know that Dunfermline Hearts are welcoming everybody to their prematch pub in Rosyth. It is easy to get to from the motorway and is a 20-30 minute journey to the ground from there. Might be useful for any buses that haven't already organised a stop off. It's family friendly too. The address is cssc club, castle road, rosyth, ky11 2hu. I have posted a link of the location too and for the CSSC website. If you have any other queries etc I can always ask him and get back to you. Sounds like a decent place. http://www.cssc.co.uk/RegionalSites/ScotlandSite/ScotlandClubs.aspx http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl Hopefully it's okay to post this I apologise if it is breaking any site rules.

Hayes Aberdeen FC Official (Maybe)
It's fair on him though. He's entitled to get the right offer he feels he deserves and take his time with it.

Hayes Aberdeen FC Official (Maybe)
Did the Courier not say yesterday he is set for more talks with Butcher?

Dear Mr Cameron,
In response to caleydawson I honestly believe we can cope without Rangers. As long as ourselves and Ross County stay in the SPL we will have just as many full houses as last season. Who knows if the derbies will be televised or not. There is no guarantee that our games against Rangers would be televised anyway. I'm not saying us or County will always be in the SPL but you know what I mean.

Caledonian Stadium will look second best
Enough of the County loving! Quit biting to Dougals bait. We have enough to concentrate on with our own team. Couldn't give a monkeys about Ross County's stadium.

Are you worried ? - I feckin am
It's not really a surprise everyone is leaving. Butcher sold the club to these guys as a platform to move back to England anyway. He also put the short term deals on the table. The blame is solely his. It's clear that the current nature of his signings don't work out up here. I don't think it's unreasonable to think he could find some up and coming players in Scotland or a few players in the last chance saloon like we used to. It never failed us before anyway.

Tokely Offski - to Countski
I think if we are all honest and take out of the equation that Tokely has been here so long that he has actually been the best of a poor defence this season. I would not be guaranteeing him football next season unless it was merited. He like the rest of the defence this season was guilty of too many basic mistakes and had just as many poor games as he did average. I do think his loyalty should be rewarded and his experience to the rest of the squad is invaluable and for this I am for him getting a new contract. i am not convinced by him or any of the other defenders we have in the team at this point though!

Butcher OUT?
Am I the only one who thinks the majority of these "higher quality" Championship and Premiership players have either been rubbish or have a rubbish attitude in terms of what this club needs? Hayes, Rooney and Cox isn't a great return from the number of players we have taken from down that way. Yes Davis was good but he chose to leave at Christmas so his loyalties weren't at ICT. And quite rightly he chose to do what his club preferred him to do and what benefits his chances at his club. But it doesnt benefit us and it's a problem.

David Davis
I'm sure I saw somewhere, can't remember where a quote from Mick McCarthy saying his preference would be to loan him out closer to home or to a Championship club. I think that may have been a bigger factor on his decision to leave (if he had a say in the first place) rather than him simply not wanting to be here.

Happy Birthday BREW
That's an insult to John Docherty!

The Soldiers Song
They were some fans chanting about the IRA in the town centre when I was going home. One group even asked me if I had heard any sectarian chanting from them today in the manner as if they should be congratulated for some major achievement?!?!

Tom Aldred has left the building
I thought he was okay so far but we need commited players at the club right now. At least he came up and gave it a shot in Inverness so fair play to him. So cheers Mr Aldred and good luck in the future!

Match day tickets for concessions
How can anybody justify charging these prices for children at a football match? How are kids supposed to be able to afford these prices? And this isn't just at our club I'm talking about all SPL grounds. Also I know there is a family section however this is not always viable for various reasons such as the person taking the child to the game may only wish to sit with his/her mates in the main stand for whatever reason.

Stuart Duff
I thought he was close to signing a few weeks ago. It was mentioned his agent was dealing with ironing out a few of the finer details. It is really frustrating and I normally would just say to get lost because you clearly don't have the heart to play for this club. However look at how old Duff is. Realistically this is going to be the last big(gest) contract of his career so you can't really blame the guy. Also everythings all messed up this season with the early start to it.

Highland Derby
Elgin is as much in the Highlands as they are in the 5th round of the Scottish Cup!
-
Jamie Duff
He managed to clear an effort right on the 90th minute I was certain was going to end up in the back of the net. I would take him back without a doubt. Definately has more potential than being a third division defender.

Fantastic! Brilliant!
Apparently in the Sunsport pullout we set another record ten years ago this weekend just past in the highest scoring first division game which we won 7-3 against Ayr at home. Wyness got a hat trick. I remember being in the terracing at that game and it was freezing.

Duncan Shearer Waterstones
So was there a good turnout for this book signing?

Why oh why
Anything works better than getting a Brewster bashing!

Caley Away with Terry and Mo
The bus idea would be good but you would need to highlight that all tickets need to be purchased before going to the game as there is no cash gate on the day.

ICT or not ICT?
The name we have now is perfectly fine. It's 2010 nearly 2011 and if older people want a name change thats fine but it's the younger generation thats coming through now and in the near future. To me Caledonian F.C. and Thistle F.C. each have their own history but ICT are who I've grown up supporting and I'd be very surprised if anybody my age wanted a name change. I'm 24 now but looking around Inverness these days there are far more people wearing ICT tops in town and at school than when I was there. This will continue to grow it just needs patience.

McBain
The best one footed player I have ever seen. He's really good with his left foot I've always wondered how good he would have become if he ever tried using his right foot.
-
Imrie
Aye the abuse of Imrie was pretty pathetic last night I'm glad he put in a shift last night and managed to shove it back down the throats of those responsible. Whilst he hasnt been the most consistent player this season he has been in and out with injuries and in and out of the squad. Last night was one of the best performances from the team I have seen this season. I would have thought the guys shouting abuse at Imrie would have been more interested in the match. Better still if you have a problem with him why don't you go and say it to him in person instead of trying to be a "big man/woman" in front of your mates.

Us and Them?
I completley agree with you that the club has ignored the fans and have only used the media to boost season ticket sales but there are signs of that changing recently. It's just a case of seeing what fresh ideas they can come up with and how long it is before they connect with the fans on a decent level again. I think Darren at the club needs a little bit of credit because he has been doing a lot of work since taking on his new role and there are definate signs of fans issues being taken into account than in the past. Also was the game on Sat not a pound for kids. I may be wrong here but I think the club is starting to try and salvage a relationship with the fans now.
