  1. Not impressed by Vigurs being released either. As I have said in another thread why do we even bother bringing up youth development players, keep them in the squad for a season or so without really giving them a chance and then getting rid of them.
  2. Mihadjuks is still contracted to his club in Latvia so we would have to pay a fee for him to come back. Don't know how much it would have cost to bring him back. He did mention in the programme on Sat he wanted to stay but never said if it was even if we got relegated or not. Bit gutted but a bit more concerned at the depths of the cuts we are making. From what Bennett is saying it is going to be quite a lot. http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/1231464
  3. Would have liked to have kept Vigurs on he had the potential to be a good player for us. Good luck Iain wherever you end up. Just like the majority of our youth products we have kept you hanging on and ditched you onto the scrapheap. Why do we even have a youth development if we are never going to give anybody a chance!
  4. I must just be too greedy then cos I would want it all.
  5. As if Brown was going to get picked before Boruc He joined them on 18/01/2007 and has played 13 games and now Celtic have signed Lukasz Zaluska and Dominic Cervi (well end of the week he'll sign). They only took him there as cover Boruc has not been consistent all that time. Unfortunately Brown was worse when he came in from who knows what. You saying if you went to a club you would be quite happy just sitting at the side and not make an effort to make your own name?
  6. Why shouldn't he have gone with the intention of replacing Boruc? Had Boruc left as was being touted on numerous occasions in the last few years Brown would have had the opportunity to make the number 1 shirt his own. There are various scenarios that could have worked in his favour. Unfortunately they didnt. You are right though loyalty in football is getting smaller and smaller every year.
  7. He never went to Celtic with the intention of being backup the whole time he was there. He does have ambition! I find it ridiculous when people try to judge a person for showing ambition. He also had to endure redundancy at Motherwell so security for his family would have been close at mind. He was a great servant to the club and left for what was a better opportunity at the time simple as.
  8. I wasn't at the game but it looked to me on the highlights like Tokely was mainly at fault for their first. He was nowhere near the guy who scored with yet another free header in our box. Their second was a bit of a shambles too. It's sloppiness like this that needs to be cut out and is costing us vital points. Good to see Imrie back on form again and getting a goal to go with it. We need to keep hold of Morais and Foran they are becoming more and more consistent the more they play.
  9. If it was the other way round and it was Barca denied the penalties it wouldn't even be getting discussed it would just be well done Chelsea unlucky Barcelona. I feel another Anders Frisk incident happening here. To be perfectly honest it shouldn't have mattered about the penalties Chelsea had numerous chances to win the game by more than a goal. Also Chelsea are not exactly the clean cut team they make out to be. Drogba and Anelka are big guys but went down like lead balloons whenever it took their fancy. Some of the challenges made by Chelsea players were made with no intentions of getting the ball. The Essien challenge that he got booked for springs to mind. So to call the ref a cheat or scum I feel is a bit hypocritical from any Chelsea fan. Barcelona had one shot on target last night and one goal. Chelsea had more than that and were in the Barcelona half the majority of the game. Also why shouldn't the referee be allowed to officiate a major semi final because he is from Norway? He has over 20 Champions League games under his belt. Because Graham Poll from the Premiership ( a big league unlike the diddy Norweigan League) did such an amazing job in his high profile World Cup job managing to book the same player 3 times before sending him off. Also the referee from the Man Utd game who wrongly sent Fletcher off officiates Serie A but he is obviously a far superior referee because he isn't Norweigian. And I'm not a Barcelona fan I only have two teams ICT and Scotland so it's not from a biased point of view. If anything I wanted Chelsea to win as they were the better team last night overall and they managed to go to the Nou Camp without conceding a goal even if it was boring they still got the job done.
  10. I've not been his biggest fan this season as I have freely stated on several occasions. Don't agree with him having the best performance in an ICT shirt this season. I think Black has been playing his most consistent football this season. However I don't hate Tokely I just think he is sometimes given an easier time purely based on status rather than performance. He has been really good in the centre of defence the last two games though and is definately someone I want in the team at the moment. His goal on Saturday was immense and clearly meant so much to him. Hopefully it carries through to Sunday and we hammer the cheating scum that is Hamilton FC!
  11. Lol! Just spat my water out reading that! Good stuff.
  12. Other than the last game where he looked a bit lost at right back I think Proctor has been one of our better players recently and may be missed tomorrow. Lets just get stuck into this Glasgow outspill. Heard enough of them bleating on about having money a new stadium and apparently a good football team.
  13. The club shop usually have a batch of unsold programmes available from previous games. Whether they would still have the Motherwell one I do not know. It is probably worth asking about just in case though.
  14. Nah I went down in the car for that game sorry. I reckon there will be more than a few mini vodkas being taken on the train though!
  15. I'm heading down on the 09:16 train with joedimaggio. So there's at least three of us going down on the train.
  16. So...they show the whole ground inside it and outside it and show ya what its like to sit in the stands I've being there quite a few times when i was in school and believe me it looks alot better than most people say. Great pies aswel :thumb04: I was just saying that the ground gets shown on telly a lot and i'm pretty sure Ross County vs Hearts was shown live in the cup a few years back when they had the likes of Fuller etc. Every year in the Scottish Cup Victoria park is shown on telly if they play at home that is. I also agree with the pies they were always good.
  17. Victoria Park isnt the best stadium lets be honest! But it does do the job It has a good football academy next to it though. I would be up for this game I used to love the away derbies. The terracing was always condensed and gave a good atmosphere. The only downside was when it was raining there was no cover
  18. I agree about Aluko he is good but Tokely has taken on better players and won. Tokely did not look like he was really with it on Sat he was lethargic in my opinion. My problems with Tokely lie deeper than the Aberdeen game. It is all very well charging down the park as he does. But look at him after the attack he just saunters back whilst we are being countered. If it was Lionel that was doing this there are a number of people that would be calling him a bombscare and a liability. However as it is Ross "superman" Tokely it is okay to be out of position and to leave the defence uncovered. I actually think he is a good player, has been one of the better players this season. However he is somehow free from critiscism on this forum and I do not for the life of me understand why (not having a go at you absent friend I respect your opinion I'm meaning in general on here). Djebi Zadi gets crucified at times, Munro gets crucified at times, Duncan gets crucified at times etc.etc. Tokely has played some terrible games also but seems to escape any criticism. Absent Friend has said that he was playing against a very good Sone Aluko on Sat and that is a fair point maybe I just expect too much from him.
  19. I agree , Rosco works hard & gives his all ?????????? Did you watch him on Saturday?
  20. Is it. This season has been so stop start it's unreal. Oh well at least the fixtures will be published soon.
  21. Yeah that sounds about right although an away day to Hibs would be better than Killie, St Mirren and Hamilton I reckon. Could even be Motherwell in the bottom 6 although it's unlikely. Can't wait for the fixtures to be published because it's a nightmare not knowing who and where we are playing next weekend.
  22. This guy made me laugh. Aberdonians eh! Wouldn't catch me dressing like that though! What worries me is his surname is Ritalin. Is Ritalin not a date rape drug? A bit unfortunate!
