:( :D This is generally true. Also nb that the Scottish traveller hates to be associated and confused with the Roma, ie gypsies, branding them as crooked, dirty and unreliable. AFAIK the correct name for those itinerant folk is "gypsy travellers" as specified by the Scottish government. I fully understand the discussion about their being Scotland's forgotten other. BUT and this backs up Scotties comments about context, if travelling folk are correctly called "gypsies", how the hell can it be an insult? We know that RC supporters are not, on the whole gypsies, so any usage is metaphorical. Also any connections between Romania and Roma are spurious. Roma trace their origins to India, according to latest thinking, and the word, gypsy, is an adaptation of Egyptian, where it was once thought they came from. Scottish travellers, btw, have a fascinating history too, not least in the USA, where they are, or were, early C20, the byword for cheating and meanness. All very confusing and interesting, but heavy handedness does nothing to clear it up. Having lived on Romania for a number of years and had a look at where the gypsys originated from your account above is exactly how I read it.

christ what a bunch of thick twats calling someone a gypsy is not racist being derogatry about them is. The fact that so few of you have sussed that the club has been reported because fans are chanting racist comments about gypsies as defined by the discrimination act and could end up getting fined seems beyond you, just because the ross county fans are not Gypsies does not make it ok to say Dirty gypsy ******** because the chant is saying gypsies are dirty ******** and as has already been pointed out you wouldn't use the same chant by replacing gypsy with black because you know that is racist. so the absurd thing is, that people I thought had a bit of inteligence can not see why it is racist to use the chant in the first place and seem to think shouting out negative things will make our team play better. What I find rather amazing is that we have so many first time posters with apparent inside knowledge of the facts pertaining to what complaints have allegedly been made. A more cynical person might think the club had a direct hand in all these new members stepping up to defend them!!! Ok I am being cynical I believe this is someone from the club and his opening line sums the contempt they hold the fans in "christ what a bunch of thick twats" perhaps we are but more and more are getting wise to the crap you serve up to the fans and less and less are going as you destroy the matchday experience. It also sums up to me how the club treat the supporters trust with the same contempt when they trust members bother to go down to a meeting with the club, come away feeling there is not an issue yet on matchday there is an issue. Get some football people in running the club and maybe just maybe its not to late to turn things around because at present its a disaster.

Looking back at the stats when we won the 1st Division our home form looked like this. Played 18 Won 14 Drew 4 Lost 0 So with 2 loses and 1 draw so far we need to put things in order quickly if we are going to have any chance of promotion

I am unsure whether its right or wrong to pull them in to train on a Sunday as football management is totally different to any management I have been in, you are handling a load of egos and maybe they need to be treated like this. What I will say is the players that were out on Saturday night should have had more sense and should show a bit more humility in defeat
