  1. Looks like he might be coming in January, Malky said in the Highland News "Ritchie does have other options but we hope we can bring a player of that quality to Inverness. He did seem to enjoy his time here and we hope he will be joining us"
  2. Scotty agreed that the players may be taking time to think it over, my main concern is why we didnt start the discussions at the start of the season as opposed to now, maybe a perfectly good reason I just think it is a dangerous game game to be playing with our key players
  3. If it was just 1 player you might put it down to the player been difficult to deal with but its not its a few of our key players, with the transfer window opening in a short while not to have them tied up is crazy. I thought I read somewhere that these contracts were been dealt with in the last International break, either that didnt happen or didnt go as well as planned. As Caley D says these contracts negotiations should have happened at the start of the season we are not talking about a couple of players that have to prove themselves, one was the player of the year last year and the other is the player of the season so far. If clubs come in for them at Xmas the club have very little bargaining power
  4. Cant have helped the lad that he hasnt played for a couple of weeks, he will only learn from this experience .
  5. I think that we have a few very good midfielders, the best pairing is dependant on what tactics we are using and players been played in the correct position/side of the park. Against Falkirk recently good players like black and vigurs were made to look ordinary due to the tactics been deployed
  6. No not an Orion employee any more, I havent been for around 6 months. Maybe if you contact him himself you might get some answers, you never know he might even read this board
  7. While I see what you are saying we dont have the luxury of just giving young players experience and confidence in our current position, although I am all for players like Duff starting the younger players can only benefit from playing alongside side someone like Barry
  8. we had popescu for that
  9. Kingsmills yes I agree Robbo would be a good choice but you have to ask why wasnt he considered the last time when we were not exactly flooded with applicants. Warnock aside
  10. Whatever did or didnt happen the last time or whoever Robbo does or doesnt get on with the fact of the matter is he was ovelooked the last time and the board thought Brew was the best man for the job even with his terrible record at Dundee United. So even if Brew left or was sacked, Robbo, who I dont think even got an interview last time, is unlikely to be considered this time round. I think when Brew does go the club will look to a new name rather than take Robbo back.

    New Kits

Without question the barca style with a wee touch of variation when when we want a change, this years one was to far away from that, it gives us our identity if we stick with a style. While I dont like particulary like their strip I was watching Airdrie yesterday on TV and there is no mistaking their strip been the same style for years
  12. The club lost 3 experience forwards in one go, Bayne, Niculae and Wyness. These have been replaced by 2 strikers without SPL experience, I am not blaming the club for not taking in a experienced striker as I am not sure how easy it is to pick one up, however I do think that they should have at least tired to hang onto one of the 3 that left to assist the young ones. I also think that Brew might have thought, due to his comments in pre season that Rory might have had more of an impact this season. I think this is going to difficult to rectify in the transfer window
  13. I think Robbo would jump at the job, he still has a great deal of affection for the club, and I know for a fact the players have a great deal of respect for him
  14. Bayne got man of the match on Sat with the comment, great target man
  15. I would hope this is not the case, but whatever the reason dont think he has deserved to be dropped due to his performance
  16. Brilliant news, a real star in the making :018: :thumb04:
  17. I would agree with that
  18. I believe he could easily last a full ninety. I dont think you can expect him to jump straight into the team and last the ninety but after a few starts I am sure he could build up to it
  19. I think his shoulder is the problem Alex, plus even though he probably still trains you need match fitness and that is something he obviously doesnt have at the moment
  20. while I agree we will not go down this season, they way we are playing will have an impact on the crowds and thus the finances, making it more difficult to improve the squad and if we dont continually improve one season we will not have the luxury of a Hamilton or Gretna
  21. Maybe if we could free up some wages from those at the club with big salaries who are not on the footballing side we might have more money to spend improving the playing side
  22. While he was brilliant for us , I think we were lucky with him as he has had problems with injuries wherever he has been, would we bo so lucky with him if we took him back, a bit of a gamble I think.
  23. What worries me most is I thought our poor home form was down tactics, playing 1 up front and no real support to the forwards, well yesterday we played 2 up front and it still didnt work. Maybe the strikers need a run of games to gel, although I wasnt at the game those that were said Barrowman just isnt up to it, so that leaves up with Woods and Rooney. I like the look of Rooney and while I think that Woods has potential I dont think he is the answer yet. This transfer window is one of the most crucial the club have ever faced both in terms of the players we have to bring in and the ones we have to keep. Its getting closer and Black and Cowie are still not tied up. Get this wrong and we could be in real trouble. I wonder what those in charge of getting players tied down to new contracts are actually doing as there doesnt appear to be much progress on that front.
  24. Eh? How can netting a 6 figure sum for a player who was all but paid for during his time here by additional investment put in by Savage possibly be the reason we had no money to bring anyone in? Did we have the money in time? Can we spend it bearing in mind there's a possible court case pending? I think part of our problems could be easily rectified....................Brewster get your boots on Alex the club received the cash from the Marius transfer when there was still a month of the transfer window to go, and even with the cash Marius is owed it is still a 6 figure sum.
  25. oh well only the 1 point
