  1. I think it could be down to a man under pressure, of course he must be feeling the pressure and probably thought getting to a cup semi would have taken a bit of that pressure off
  2. If Brewster had said nothing after those two terrible decisions would we not then be saying he didnt care,

What you dont understand is we like each other really
  4. Well he's not had a decent run of games due to injuries and a bit of rotation up front. Also he hasn;t exactly had a barrowload of chances to prove his worth. The thing that's frustrated me about Barrowman when I've seen him so far is how little he does on the field when he's not got the ball to feet around the box (against Hearts he was woeful). It looks like a lack of effort - but then we were criticising Niculae last season for dropping too deep. Maybe we don't press enough to have the luxury of a "penlty-box" striker in the starting line up - but then maybe if Brewster played Imrie and Cowie on their preferred wings then we'd get to the bye-line more and create more chances for Barrowman. Certainly the apparent lack of effort will not sit well with Brewster, which is maybe why he hasn't been starting, but then if that's the case, why did he sign him in the first place? Possibly he's just not suited to a team that plays on the break more often than not. I think you may have a point here, I also thought that Marius dropped to deep last season but think it was a case of doing that or not been involved in the game, having watched Marius in a couple of Dinamo games he doesnt drop nearly as deep as he did when he was with us
  5. was Deco not in a similar position having been born in Brazil but chose to play for Portugal having gained residency there, dont think you would find to many Portugese complaining about him playing for them

It is common knowledge the transfer fee was 500 Euros, and if my memory serves me correctly they said it was to late to go into this years accounts but would show up in next years, to me that was fairly straightforward

The Marius transfer monies were paid by Dinamo to the club the day after the deal was agreed I fail to see where the mystery is in that
  10. Do you think the problem is just Brew or do you think the problems go deeper/higher than that As an avid supporter of Orion and Savage that comment has a double edge. Of coures it goes deeper and higher but the likes of Marius Niculae have only served to take this club into a decline. Avarice is a sin - whether you are a businessman, a manager or a supposed professional footballer. how predictable

I think a lot depends where we are sitting around xmas, if we are sitting bottom I dont think the board will have much choice, however if we are anything better than bottom I dont think the club will get rid of him. The board have never had to sack a manager thus far and I dont think they will change that pattern in the near future
  14. Yes Alex but to be honest we struggled against two lower division clubs on the way to last night, agreed things went against us last night but we didn't look that great at any stage in this competition
  15. Do you think the problem is just Brew or do you think the problems go deeper/higher than that
  16. I tend to agree, while I would love to see the club challenging for top six with our average crowds and the lack of a sugar daddy I think survival in the SPL is priority, also due to lack of finances young players coming through is vital along with keeping our best talents such as Black and Cowie
  17. What is considered as an acceptable season for ICT these days? Should we be looking for a top six spot now having established ourselves in the SPL for a few seasons? Is just surviving in the SPL each season a success? It will be interesting to see what the fans now think is considered a successful season
  18. Jim Leishman are you having a laugh, and bear in mind we would have to probably pay Brew compensation and then if we went after a manager that is already in a job we would have to pay his current club compensation, I know relegation will cost us more but is there any guarantee that his replacement would be any better. What's the harm in TRYING a new manager?! IF someone comes in and does just the same as Brewster then what? We'll be in the same place. IF someone comes in and does a BETTER job, then where will the defence of Brewster be then? I am not saying that brew should stay I am just saying that the board have to look at a lot of things before just sacking him. there will be compensation issues, will they be able to attract somebody better, should they give him more time until players like Barrowman and Rooney find their feet.

  20. And who would you replace him with, there didnt appear to be a lot of top quality candidates when CC went. lots of calls for Brews head but I havent seen that many realistic suggestions as to who should replace him
  21. Sorry, you're absolutely right, I'm sure he's had nothing to do with coaching the strikers. So it's nothing to do with him that Dargo took ages to find a bit of form, that Wyness couldn't get in the groove again despite getting himself into the box umpteen times a game, that Niculae was frankly appalling in front of goal given his pedigree, or that Barrowman and Rooney and, recently, Wood, who should be banging them in for fun, are missing. Even taking the coaching out of it, even supposing that the player gets his own goals and that it's a confidence thing, if you stick a lad up front on his own, don't change your game plan to suit what's happening on the pitch, don't make the substitutions to match - anyone for Motherwell? - and basically make it ten times harder for your striker to score, aren't you then, as a manager, responsible for eroding the striker's confidence? People have to stop apologising for the manager and he has to stop hiding behind Lady Luck. I'm saying no more, sick to the back teeth of this. It's gone on way, way too long. I'm going to wade in here as well. Brewster has had wayyyy to long to prove himself, and week in week out people defend him even though its blatently obvious that he isn't a good manager! You wouldn't defend a sh**e builder if he built up your house then over the next few weeks it fell apart brick by brick! Cmon people wake up! No-one wants their team to lose, but no-one wants a diddy at the wheel driving us to those loses each week. Its time this club grew a pair and did the right thing! who would you replace him with, and realistically, there didnt seem to be a load of top quality applicants when CC went
  22. the first division is a tough league and if we did happen to go down I dont think we would automatically bounce back up, there are some teams down there of similar size to ourselves, however I dont think we will go down
  23. Great pity we couldnt take our chances , one of the reasons given for our downturn in the finances last year was the lack of cup runs, although we got further in the cup this year the draw gave us games against Arbroath, Morton then Falkirk hardly big financial windfalls, hopefully a good run in the Scottish Cup as with dwindling home attendances we could be looking at an even worse financial year
  24. I think that the manager is responsible in the first instance, he is the one that is given the task of bringing in players in the transfer window, picking the team and motivating the team, if the manager doesnt do his job then I think the board have to take responsibility as they put him in place. While I am not in the get Brewster out camp as I think he should be given more time, I am worried we are on the verge of going on a run similar to that he had at DU and I am not sure he will manage to get out of that this time either. I think his signing have been ok , Imre looks good and I think Barrowman and Rooney look as if they could do ok once they settle in. I do think we badly need a commanding centre half and an experinced striker , Brew probably does realise this as well but they are not so easy to pick up on our budget. I think anyone that thinks Brew will be sacked this week or in the next few weeks are wrong and I think the board will give him a lot longer.
  25. yep your right sorry about that
