  1. Totally agree. I think Barrowman in particular is the type of player who needs to get a run of games under his belt to get the best out of him Yes that is true but there is another factor, whoever is playing up front needs service or they will never perform as they should. On Wed it was impossible to judge how well Wood played as he was so isolated, I think that there is a good chance he will be dropped on Sat but this is not down to him, Rooney and Barrowman did ok when they came on but that was due to the change in the system, if either of them has to play Woods role in the first half I dont think they would have done any better. Until we get the system right and give the lads up front some service none of them will perform as well as they could
  2. while that is also my gut feeling we dont know for sure, Barrowman could be the best prospect but I dont think he has had a run to prove that as yet
  3. .....and then again if Barry had scored in the last minute, we'd have won ! Laws of physics.............for every negative ion there is a positive one. yep it is a game of ifs and buts , the only thing that gets points on the board are the chances that do go in

    Respect

I am not so sure about that even players like Gerrard struggle when they are played out of position for England,
  5. . As for the "monster" don't get me started on the most lucrative con in the history of tourism.... Totally agree Charles but the Highland economy would be a heck of a lot worse of with out the income it takes in from the tourists wanting to spot Nessie
  6. IHE says thank **** for that
  7. I have a feeling he will survive and I cant see the board sacking him unless we are cast adrift at the bottom

    Respect

I noticed it also but not sure if this is a normal thing and by that I mean from players at other clubs towards their manager. I doubt if any of the Falkirk players would react to Yogi though, he would probably run on the pitch and clock them :thumb04:
  9. I think left back has turned into a real problem position for us, Hastings has been terrible, actually terrible doesnt even describe Weds performance and how he wasnt hooked at half time baffles me. Djebi-Zadi is obviously not in the plans, which has obviously been a complete waste of a salary. I think Roy could well be the answer but I have a feeling Brew will persist with Hastings or thinks Byrne could be the answer
  10. Although I did give Tokley some marks on the POTY, it was difficult who else to pick, I thought he was very much a mixed bag last night, at times good and at times all over the place.
  11. Also agree with CD. Impossible to say what the best partnership is as these things take time to develop and whoever it turns out to be needs a run in the team playing together, understanding each others pros and cons, of course most of all they need service and it would be nice to see some width in the team giving them that service. At the moment I think Rooney and Woods both have potential but I am still a little bit unsure on Barrowman, but then again if he was given a run of games it could make a difference.
  12. In defence of Brew I was sitting fairly close to the dug out and he has quite vocal to the players
  13. Alex, yes apparently so, I will tell it as I see it and that first half was drivel, if as I hope we beat Hearts on Sat with a good performance I will be happy to praise
  14. Can you enlighten me as to the positives, where we manage to scramble ONE goal, against a keeper who was there for the taking, against a team who hasnt won in its last 6 SPL games. Oh...and we were at home, starting with one up front. A positive would have been building on Saturdays performance, or at least showing the same appetite for the game Smee I think in the second half they did show some appetite for the game, it was like the players got a lift from the changes, 2 upfront and being positive, There was one time in the first half and they were taking a corner and there wasnt 1 ICT player in the Falkirk half, just not good enough at home. It was apparent to me in the second half that the players are happier when we are having a go at home. However I wonder if we hadnt gone in one down at half time whether the changes would have been made and the same drivel would have carried on in the second half There were two corners at Easter Road when we had all 11 players in the 18 yard box !! If we hadnt scored would the same drivel have carried on ? There's alot more boring drivel in this thread from the Brewster-haters than there was on the pitch tonight. I am not a Brewster hater, however I do think he got his tactics wrong in the first half and sorry but in the first half it was drivel, changes were made and the second half was an improvement.
  15. Yep I would like to be the Falkirk keeper going into face him after the way he played :thumb04:
  16. . The away dressing room should also be painted green because green is supposed to have a subduing effect that takes 15 to 20 minutes to wear of. I learned that on a trip to Riverside stadium Middlesborough that must be a problem for celtic then

  18. Hastings was beyond bad tonight, thought he was a cert to get hooked at half time
  19. First half was terrible, subs made a difference, thought Wilson was excellent when he came on, direct, delivered good balls, in my mind he is worth a start
  20. Can you confirm (for the stats) ..... none of the online sites reported a booking for him (SKY, P&J, BBC, Sportbox, Sporting Life etc) I think it was barrowman that got booked for jumping into the crowd when Rooney scored
  21. 3 points tonight would be a good start and well within our reach if we perform like we did on Sat.

    Zander

We all base our judgement on what we've seen on the field, which isn't very much really. We dont know what effort is put in on the training field. The workrate and all that. Maybe there's good reason why he doesn't feature. that may well be the case Alex although I hope not as I always though he was one of the younger players with great potential , but like you say we have no idea what goes on in training,
  23. While I agree there has probably been to much doom and gloom, I doubt if there are many on here that would welcome failure
  24. Its the old boy network If thats the reason then it is very worrying, but I find it hard to believe that brew would put himself under more pressure by taking in a player he didnt feel he was good enough just because he is a mate
  25. Probably is but every team seems to want to go the defensive route nowadays Alex I know what you are saying and I see why we have to go down the defensive route against some teams and away from home, but should we not be having a bit of a go at home against the likes of St Midden and Hamilton.
